I just have got a few of them but your pronunciation is excellent and for me is the way to refresh my learning. Thank you for taking your time and editing this kind of video.
I love this format. The more I study, the more I find I'm able to read the language, but my listening skills are poor. Listening to and talking with native speakers is of limited help, because I can't tell where one word ends and the next one begins. The way you present the phrases and sentences, stating them twice and giving us time to think and process what we've heard before disclosing the caption, is very effective. Please consider doing more of this type. Спасибо большое!
I love your lessons. I am Norwegian and have been living in Ukraine for the past three months. Learning a little Russian everyday. I started watching your lessons only three days ago, and they have already boosted my Russian a lot!
this listening video is a little more difficult for me.. but, so very necessary for my mind to comprehend what the speaker is saying! I love the challenge as i wander into the wilderness of the russian language..Thank you so much my dear!!!
I’m almost done with Pimsleur Russian Level 1 and I was thrilled to recognise some of the phrases or be able to deduce some from my limited vocabulary. Even in cases where I didn’t know what the phrase meant (most of them) I knew at least one or two words. Great feeling of accomplishment so far! Thanks for providing this as a study resource.
Someone asked for harder material. And your comment was "yes they were easy" .... But not all people ))) I liked it and I hope there are many more --- even "easy" as some people think. There are not a lot of good, helpful resources to move from reading and writing stuff to listening and saying stuff. But this was great. Looking forward to more if you wish to do them. A big thanks
A great exercise to train my 'listening ear'. I usually needed the repetition to grasp the whole sentance the second time. An excellent tutorial. Many thanks. Your videos are a valuable resource and I will return to them often.
Your voice and pronunciation are easier for me to understand that most other Russian language instructors on UA-cam. Thank you. I think I am making progress.
Hello, and thank you for your extremely useful video. I am a beginner (between A1 and A2), I can easily understand nearly all of your written sentences (except for a few scattered words some here and there), but only 70% of the sentences. I found the reason for this relative failure interesting, and instructive: as a beginner, I basically pronounce each word detached from the others, while you link them up in a continuous, even melodiuos flow, if you will. An example: кто это sounds, to my ear, as a single word with a single stress on the first o, while I pronounced it as "кто (pause) это". So your video not only taught me something, it also clearly pointed out to me the most important area on which I should focus my attention. Thank you.
Thanks for this video, Kristina, I think that's a fun way of learning a language. I have been learning Russian by myself for about 6 months now, almost exclusively with UA-cam videos. And from this Video I have understood about 1/3 of the phrases at first listening, 1/3 more at second listening, and for the rest I think I will need some more time... I'm learning Russian because I am planning a longer trip to Russia, maybe 3 or 4 months; I think so much time is needed for discovering such a big and interesting country, and learning a bit more of Russian culture and their way of life. And hopefully also make a few Russian new friends...
Thanks for this. This was great to listen and understand more than I expected and I feel more confident about speaking Russian now. I appreciate your work ❤
По горам по долам. Проверьте в гугле, во всех словянских языках "в низ" это: польский w dół, хорватский dolje, сербский доле, чешский dolů, болгаоский надолу, словенский navzdol, словацкий dole, македонский надолу. украинском до долу, и только в московитском в низ, get on your knees по по английски. От сюда вот Герасимы и муму происходят.
I was able to understand many phrases because last week I was listening (over and over) to Sherlock Holmes. The slow Russian listening is definitely the cause for my improvement. I am very encouraged by your slow Russian method. Anytime I want to listen to you in "normal" speed I speed up the audio to x 1.25)) Thank You!
Je découvre votre chaîne et quelle bonne surprise 😃 Ce format est vraiment très bon pour moi, on a le temps de comprendre et de répéter. J'ai de la chance le niveau est adapté au mien et les phrases sont bien trouvées pour réviser le vocabulaire et la grammaire. Alors merci beaucoup !! 🙏 Спасибо большое и приятного сочельника 🎄!
This is great. Once I make sure I understand and memorize all, I can keep listening to this every day not to forget them. I hope you will make more videos with new sentences. Большое спасибо.
I am going to use this a lot! Very, very helpful! I am so glad I found your Channel! I understood words from every sentence, but could only translate about 15 full sentences.
Although I only picked up a few sentences and some words, this is great and certainly keeping me going to learn more! Very creative compared to many other language learning videos.
So useful, loved it. Only got about 30 percent fully correct, but knew the ball park of about 80 percent. Been learn since January this year. Excellent video!
Hi Again )))) I think that this one is my favourite. Your format is perfect for me. Without having any hints there for the first 2 times, it forces me to push that little bit more to get them right. Also, I find your speed of talking great and sometimes, if I want to challeng myself, all I need to do, is to increase the playback speed to 1.25. So thanks for the amazing amount of work that you have done in setting these up. I reckon I am gtting closer and closer to taking the next step....... not quite there yet, but feeling positive )))
Thank you for your feedback! I´m so glad you found this lesson useful. I´m sure that if you watch this video a couple of times, it will be SO EASY for you to understand these phrases, and you will not even have to wait for the translation to appear on the screen to check yourself

This is the best format for me. Thank you very much. There are many other long lists of sentences -- Kendra comes to mind. But I cannot verify with them whether I listened and comprehended. By the way, one or two sentences in this group are duplicates. They were entered twice. As for how many I guessed correctly, I am down around 25% because so many words, and especially prepositions are run together, uttered as if they were only one word, not several.
I don't want to rush to judgment, but this feels really effective! :O first, for listening skills and then for vocabulary and grammar. Most probably I'll give the 500 sentence one a try (I hope they're as good as these 100 here) also there is something very helpful about it being a video {well possibly I can rewind/jump-back in it with text and audio being in sync }
Very interesting ))) Number 51 threw me. I was thinking откуда вы знаете - "from where" do you know and it is "how" do you know. )))))) I love this beautiful language ))) just as one thinks that they are making progress, a curve ball is thrown ))))) Thank you for these great resources, thank you for advice that you have given -- "truthful advice" (that is the best kind. I am in the process of shelving other stuff that I am using to try and learn Russian. But I keep coming back to your stuff. I understand that it will take a long time to break the glass ceiling of being able to listen, but I hopefully with these types of videos, it WILL happen. And then, I will be able to take up some of your courses. ))))
Thank you for your kind words! Listening and understanding Russian is a just another skills that you need to develop. It WILL improve over time if you keep practicing, it just takes time and dedication
