I just discovered this channel and am amazed at the wide variety of music types she plays. Simply one of a kind talent. Really brings me back to seeing Crossroads all those years ago.
Some of the best guitarists in the world, who have been playing decades longer than she has, would readily admit that they cannot perform some of the same feats on the fretboard that she can. She is a once in a lifetime virtuoso on the guitar. The combination of her talent, feel, speed, accuracy, dexterity and complexity is truly a gift from God. I know we’re not supposed to say this, but she's performing these covers better than some of the guitar legends who wrote them.
For the love of God, Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement, Arpeggios from Hell, Fire and Flames (she picks a lot more than H. Li. who hammers and pulls many of the Notes)
He played both parts. Ralph Macchio's and "Jack Butler". Way back, Guitar Player magazine used to include 45' vinyl records in their magazines (anyone remember that?). The guitar duel was one of them. Both Vai's part and Ry Cooder's part. Included in pring was the transcribed sheet and tab for it. 35+ years later I've been trying to play this and it still eludes me. I have bits and pieces of it down. But, not the whole thing. I recall an interview with Vai. Saying that he REALLY, had to try to mess playing this piece up (hence why it looks obvious to anyone that plays).
Wow. I just stumbled on this by accident. First time seeing you play and I'm blown away. I remember practicing this over and over and between the amount of memorization necessary and the multitude of picking techniques I eventually gave up about half way through. Never played it close to this fast though nor as clean. You're incredible!
Thankyou for putting these amazing videos back on You Tube Tina S. You probably had your own reasons for taking them off but you have so many fans that love seeing you play these incredible covers.

I've been playing 30 years and am counted as pretty damn good amongst my peers, but I could never play that. This is just awesome. My only "criticism" is that while her technique is amazing, she needs to work on her "feel". I forget who said it, don't remember if it was one of my teachers or a famous guitarist, but they said "learn all you can, then forget about it and just play". You'll have the technical foundation so your hands know what to do, then just let your heart and soul dictate what comes out.
Great comment. I feel that way about Tal wilkenfeld. I have been playing bass for 30 years and I am good in both upright and electric, straight forward fundamentals. Then a young person comes along whose soul and style are beyond nearly everyone on the planet that plays.
There are always going to be prodigies, that doesn't take anything away from you though. Everybody is different. I have a friend who toured with Van Halen back in the day, and one night he and Eddie were just hanging out and jamming, and Eddie told him "there are things that I can play that you can't, but there are things that you can play that I can't. This type of comment is under every kid's shred video. The reason you can't do it is because you don't want to. Just like Bob Dylan can't do it. Or Eric Clapton, or George Harrison. The implication of your comment is that one is "better" if they can play this. Clearly that's not true.

This girl is incredible. Almost robotic. Every other young player I've watched makes the occasional mistake. She never does. She's the type who follows the mantra "Don't practice till you get it right, practice until you never get it wrong."
This girl is amazing... I am a guitarist myself and I have found that there are ranks within the guitar world. Knowing chords and scales makes you a "beginner"... this is where you start and even the start is no easy task. There are literally millions that know how chords and scales work. The next is when you can make your own variations within chord progressions and scales.."Adept" . The next is the Master...this is achieved through an almost literal transformation..."where you FEEL the music itself" Some people call this a "gift" and rightly so..because there are many who cannot learn this...You can memorize other peoples songs, play them flawlessly and still not touch the "feel" of the original..very few can. Not to sound crazy but old timers called it "soul" when you actually put your soul into the sounds themselves... People say Jimi Hendrix was overrated and scoffed at his distorted mixtures while others thought he was a demi-god on guitar...there is no doubt there are allot of variations out there but you will know when someone has "soul" in their music... David Gilmore was the oppostite of Jimi through clean edge solos with flawless feel to them..and I could name many more with different feels to them... Not to go on and on I would explain it even more simplistic... Most people are distinguished by the sound of their vocal chords...but when the person puts emotion and feeling into what they say they no longer become boring and monotone but rather interesting and unique.... This girl has in my book reached the adept phase at an almost impossible age...and to encourage her and support her is perhaps a way to unlock something that you and I could only dream to attain..
you can see it starting to show in her "Dreamtheatre" clip...watch the emotion and feel she puts into it...even her body language shows her soul is genuinely expressed through her playing.
I somewhat agree yes, anyone with tab and a metronome could master this in a few weeks of constant practice... this being if you have already become "Adept". I certainly do not consider myself a "Master" I have had the "Gift" since youth. Whilst I do not play classical music or attempt at "super guitarists material" I FEEL and can put my soul into my music... mostly blues and rock. However that is not nearly as complicated as this classical piece. I would like to acknowledge your comment as very good with just one extra note. I can play some mean blues and I wouldn't hesitate to take the stage with any accomplished blues player but I think this kid can do much more than what she shows here. Love guitar but after watching this maybe, after 38 yrs I should just play on the porch with my old dog and a glass of whiskey. Nice comment sir. She is gonna make it to the Feel part sooner than we did.
Amazing response for an epic performance. I agree 100% just goes to show, no matter how good you think you may be , there’s someone that will always motivate you!!
OMG! Holy Shit! Sorry for cussing but man...I've been playing since I was 7 yrs old, I'm almost 46 now. I can't do that! I really hope you do something with your amazing talent girl. Awesome.

Aegis Gaming and
I somewhat agree yes, anyone with tab and a metronome could master this in a few weeks of constant practice... this being if you have already become "Adept".

The question is did you practice between 8-16 hours a day for like 12 years straight, because she did.
