  • Alright, is the Snoo really worth it??
It is one of the biggest question sleep deprived parents ask themselves!
In just 24 hours this video has received over 2 million views, so there were A LOT of parents who had something to say.
    The overwhelming consensus was... YES!
Of course it won't work for everyone but for the most part, the majority of people said it was well worth it. Given this is my 4th baby I couldn't justify buying one so I rented! Before the Snoo my baby would wake up the SECOND he was put down. Since the Snoo, he sleeps for 2 to 3 hour stretches. (For those concerned if he is sleeping too long, he has great awake times, eats very well, is gaining weight and his doctor said everything was fine!)
Not only is it beautiful, but it has a built in mesh swaddle that allows air flow and room for baby to wiggle a bit (so basically it isn't too tight), a gentle rocking motion and a built in white noise machine. It detects when baby starts to cry and will adjust the rocking and sound to try to soothe them. Personally, this function isn't of use to me since I pick my babies up the second they cry but I know it's of use to many other families!
My conclusion: I was insanely skeptical at first but after giving it a try I found it is 100 worth it, especially if you are renting! To each their own though. By no means do you need any of these expensive items to have a healthy, happy, thriving, baby! This is is just an extra item that has been very helpful to us!
Also friendly reminder. No one is using this to substitute rocking or holding their baby ❤️ The rocking motion just helps them stay asleep because parents need sleep too in order to care for their baby ❤️

£1.2k for a cot! My god those companies sure know how to target sleep deprived parents. £10 vibrating bouncer or £30 electric swing was used for my babies if they wouldn't sleep

I'm sure with 5 kids so close together you must be sleep deprived! Hopefully it gives you that short reprieve to Dreamland. Wishing you 😴🌚😴 and many blessings!

This would have been great when my baby was a baby (she’s 22 now). For the first 6 months she slept in her swing. Any time I’d try and take her out she’d wake up. I was a single mom working 12 hr shifts at the time, so I’m like ok you sleep there then. 😂😂😂 She finally grew out of it and went to her crib.

You can also rent one, which is what we did, to test it out. It helped tremendously but they definitely take advantage of sleep deprived parents with their pricing.

My babies never liked being swaddled and I wouldn’t pay that much for a bassinet that can only be used 3 months . It’s a no for me

$1650 for something you'll use for a couple of months... Oi. Hard pass.

The Snoo isn't a nanny. The negative, silly things ppl say about this sleeper is ridiculous & hilarious. Ppl concerned that it makes your baby sleep too well & they miss feedings...you still have to feed your baby. Turn it off, feed your baby & put them back when they're done. The Snoo was amazing! Once my baby was too big & it was time to transition to his crib, he did it flawlessly with no issue. I just gave it to a friend who just had her first baby.

I don’t think people take me seriously when I tell them this was our best purchase. Wait until 2am and baby won’t go to bed but they are tired they just can’t figure it out so they need you to rock them. Then once their down you’ll wake back up in 30 to an hour. Then everyone all of a sudden listens.

We rented our Snoo for 6 months. Best investment, in my opinion. We used it with baby #2. It gave me peace of mind & more sleep. I hope it works the same for you.

I got really lucky as a first time mom. My baby loved to sleep. Her naps were 4-5 hours twice a day, plus all night with 2 quick feedings. It was amazing. I never bought all this extra stuff. I just had her in her crib from day 1. I did have a rocking chair that I got for $10 on Craigslist, then I redid the cushions for $5. I'm so thankful I didn't spend alot cause I never had to rock her. I placed her down and she was out cold!

Cradlewise does even more than snoo, and it costs about the same, but it can be used as a crib for up to 2 years. The downside is it's not as portable for travel. My youngest is 2, and I think we are done having babies, but just wanted to throw it out there for anyone planning more kids because I saw it and thought it was so cool.

Friendly reminder: no one is using this to substitute holding and tending to their baby 😉 Parents need to sleep too and the rocking motion helps baby sleep in longer stretches. I still contact nap and baby wear when I am awake ❤

I paid 150$ for an all in one swing. Made lullaby sounds swung back and forth and side to side. It vibrated and the seat part could be removed from the frame to be used as just a rocker or bouncer. Saved my life

They make the coolest stuff for babies now! I wish they had those when I had my kids.

My poor Nicholas couldn't sleep for the first six months. Cried the entire time awake. It's hard on their tiny brains. It's too traumatic and causes brain changes. Not to mention how hard it is on Mom and Dad if he stuck it out that long. Mine just went MIA. To be fair he did have PTSD from being a tunnel rat in Vietnam. Anyone who has anything to say about anything that helps a baby, mother, father, family, cope needs to think more than once about judging someone...

We rented this for our colicky daughter. It didn't work for us at all, but it would probably help a baby that's medium fussy but CAN be soothed with enough swaddling, shushing, rocking, etc. If they cry for more than 3 minutes it turns off, and she would go for hours no matter what we did. Hopefully it works for you ❤
