Is your brother deaf? Both of my parents are and my mum’s sister and brother too but my sister and I aren’t deaf, nor are her kids. I feel a little sad that signing won’t be a part of my life after my parents are gone :(
Biology was never my thing, but I believe that both you and your sister now carry a recessive gene linked to deafness, and thus there's a chance of you having a deaf child if you have a child with somebody carrying the same gene :) Additionally, you might meet somebody who is deaf and make friends with them, and then you'll have somebody to sign to! It's too early to dwell on the possibility of losing reason to sign 😄✌🏻🤘🏻
My sister's ASL class is taking a week long field trip from Florida to visit Gallaudet sometime in spring. She is pursuing to become an ASL Interpreter/Translater which I think is so cool.

I’m fully deaf on my left ear but the right one is okay, I was born with only hearing out my right ear so for me it’s normal, I can’t compare it to anything so I’m not upset or anything it doesn’t bother me. It gets super annoying tho when I’m out with friends and they’re walking on the left side so it’s hard for me to hear so I have to literally push them to the other side so I hear anything which makes it super awkward😂

I started learning ASL last summer. I loved it but I got to busy and had to quit going to my classes. It's so common and I've used it so much In the real world. I'm very slow because I'm so new to the language, so I still but the subtitles on your videos. Any recommendations for where I can learn it better?(sorry for poorly phrasing.)

Why do deaf move their mouths when signing and make facial expressions? Is it part of signing? And, are you aware that you laugh/giggle, do you do it on purpose or aren’t you aware when sound comes out of your mouth? Are you total, that is no hearing at all? Do you know how words are pronounced or have you been deaf your whole life and not really understand what words sound like? For example, do you know what Cheyenna sounds like, it’s pronounced like SHAY-en-uh. That’s a cute name. What would happen if you tried to talk? Wouldn’t you know how to say words anyway and mispronounce them?
