I don't want to be impolite here, because obviously this isn't your fault, but I'd be curious to know out of all the "upcoming" games you've previewed over the last two or three years have actually been released? I'm still waiting for Falling Frontier, originally to be released at the end of '22, and then '23, and then '24, and now simply coming soon - a perfect example of total vapourware. I think a lot of devs in this space really need to think about when they announce a game. Getting people excited about a game only works if that game is two or three months from release. I’m done with Star Wars style space dogfighting games. I’d love it if someone made first person perspective space sim with full orbital physics implementation, that would make combat more like how it’s portrayed in The Expanse
Have you ever heard of a game called Fly Dangerous Ant? It's a space racing game, free to play. Bit of a genre change, thought you might like to hear about it.
Does Verse Project have realistic flight/orbital mechanics, or is that just for the planets? If so... that sounds like a dream game, oh man I'll be so excited!! Downloading the tech demo to see for myself.
Lets see which Titel really is going to be released, so many cancelled sci fi space games, my expectations are really low. Btw what happened to Falling Frontier?
Whaaaat? Noooo. It’s definitely not another vaporware tech demo. I mean, look at how slick those animations are. And it’s always a good sign when they show you that instead of gameplay
"Unified game world" bah. Verse looks interesting but I'm already turned away from it just by that. Here's hoping for a dedicated server or at least solo/coop mode.
I have too many online multiplayer games. I am sick and tired of developers forcing us to play in a Zoo. I am okay with online social hubs, but I want private servers and fully offline modes. I want games where the ability to CHOOSE who I play with is not TAKEN AWAY from me.
Verse project looks to be promising way too much. Another money maker that never produces anything but a series of minimally playable demos? One massive universe with no loading screens? Wishful concepts shouldn't make it as far as they do but you can make money off of them. Gaming is incredibly more profitable than cinema and I've been watching both nosedive for a while now.
The single, shared universe in shared Verse Project is a _massive_ red flag. Unless the player base is going to be like 200 concurrent players, a modern space game will it be unable to pull this off without massive restrictions (like restricting who can go where due to where other players are located) and enormous costs on the backend. This will be so easy to break if they attempt to release the game with a single shared universe.

I'm laughing your comment, not because I want to be disparaging, but only because I'm fully aware that devs are simply not interested in VR anymore.
