THANK YOU !!! Thanks for reviewing a base model vehicle. Most people will review cars either mid trim or above then tell you the starting base price and that's all. Like you said, take off the midnight package and you talking $42k. For that money, it's an absolute yes for me. If you need all the space you get without all the bells and whistles, why not. Thanks again, take care.
In January 2024 I drove a new 2023 AWD Traverse V6 High Country. I very much preferred the 2023 performance over the two new 2024 AWD Traverse LT and I think it was a RS. The 4 cylinder struggled on my TN mountain roads. I think the 4 cylinder is better adapted to round town driving, going to the store, picking up kids than the V6 was. Neither are for off-roading or driving through heavy snow. I just preferred the V6 performance on mountain roads over the 4 cylinder. I also fear the for the longevity of the 4 cylinder.
I would absolutely lose the useless blackout package which costs a staggering 2300 bucks and does zero for the performance or handling of the vehicle and makes it look cheap. Instead invest in AWD or leather heated seats or something more useful. That new 4 cylinder engine sure sounds a lot noisier than the previous V6 which was more refined and sounded better on throttle!

Thanks Jeff! I appreciate the feedback. Thank you for watching. Much appreciated 👍
Just got the blackout edition. I love it. 🙌😬
Do not buy FWD if you live anywhere that gets snow. I would lose the midnight package and get the AWD.
There should be a V6 or hybrid option. The 4 cylinder is only good for driving around town. The 4 cylinder fails of mountains and large hills.
This is absolutely false. You obviously have not driven one.

Thank you sir for your time and great information. I have a question. Which is more reliable, this model Traverse or explorer 2025?
I think the reliability between the two is a coin flip. The Explorer base engine is more powerful than the Traverse. Thanks for tuning in.
Always get the awd option it pays you back when you trade it in. No one wants a front wheel drive suv
I prefer FWD. I thought of AWD once but FWD does me fine.
I thought the LS was the base trim.
Yes it was in 2024 MY. For 2025, they dropped the LS trim, made the LT the base trim and added the High Country trim.

All 2025 Traverse are AWD, not FWD.
Look at the window sticker in the video. It’s FWD.
