Hey Johnny you crack me up. I value your opinion. So that being said.... I've got a us jazz bass v elite. I'm used to my Lakland and I am seriously considering a mod to the jazz. Do you have a recommendation for a bridge humbucker to fit?
@@LONGCASTLE777 I know what you meant. I'm struggling to decide. I love the jazz tone and it plays like a dream but I want it to cut in the mix. I'll experiment. Cheers. I love what you do. Not much of that in the UK.
@@alanhudson2986 I've got 5502 and I put Nordys in mine and it cuts great, the mids on Nordstrand pups just make it cut with the greatest of ease! No matter what it sounds great! Try just the bridge first, as I think the Nordys are great with mids, but the Hanson Lakland pups have a more round bassy tone which is great in the bridge position IMO. That way you can blend the 2 for the right cut and still have that awesome rich low end that Laklands are known for. But still love the Nordy MM5.2 pup, it's simply phenomenal!
For anyone who doesn't know what the colors mean, blue: humbucker, red: split coil, green: single coil
Yeahhhhhh great info
Those guys at Sims made an excellent work. Basically you have 3 pickups in one. And no digital fakery.
Facu roldan meaning you can have up to 15 different pickup combos
Thanks for the information. What does the pickups are tapping on their own mean?

A flat! A is easy to play. I haven't tried A flat. A lot of gospel players are using it. I only use it on the B string everything else gdae.
Please next time set the camera to zoom out a little bit, so I can see you... and the bass guitar :-)
Ok
Johnny didn't mention the name of the preamp.
I bet you 100% it's a tone monster hahaha
Ol" folks like us can't handle those low brown notes !!!
I hear you buy vintage basses, steal the rare pickups, then return the bass with a cheap pickup. That is theft.
Johnny did that ?
