That face at the beginning.
A pure manifestation of beauty.
I was laughing so fucking hard when I saw that face.
xD
The song sped up songs like something out of the pokemon gen one for gb xD
Zack Smith Chariot would make a good pokemon
Hahahahaha
Nice to see that the developers took the time to prepare an animation for this specific case of cheat kill. It reminds me of ceasless discharge
that boss is so awful without cheating it to died
0:03 does this look like the face of mercy!?
Yes
You're making me sympathize with the villain here, Mont. Poor evil chariot got cheesed to death.
BossBasher is an evil that transcends the wrongdoings of any boss.
That speed up scared the shit out of me
As a sorcerer, I stood in the middle of the hallway, casted my most powerful spell in the direction of the approaching chariot which took ~ 1/3 of his life, he rolls over you dealing 80% dmg, drink and estus. Repeat 2-3 times you're done
Cheeky, but if it works, it works.
Neat little tip for you Sorcerers out there, DON'T kill this boss too early. Lizard Staff drops off the necromancers. It has an A scaling in INT and requires no Faith to equip.
Wow, the executioners chariot music speed up sounds like something from a zelda game XD
lost my sanity in the first few seconds.
Oh yes, one raw sea bow and a lot of poison arrows.
Even got back my bloodstain from my last attempt.
Thank you.
"Be free, my master!"
If your ADP is decent, the way I like to do this is to stay along the sides of the tunnel and roll through the spike coming out of the chariot's wheel. While the skeletons are knocked down, I run over to one of the casters and cut them down. Once both casters are dead, I'll either let the chariot do a couple more laps and wipe out the skeletons, or I'll mop them up. Once they're out of the way, close one of the gates (switches on the left side of the arena). The horse will be immobilized for a short time, at which point he's wide open. If the horse is able to get back up, hug his side and lay into him. The horse only has two attacks and doesn't do much damage.
I will admit that, before I got gud with Bloodborne, I'd use this cheese in Silver Mont's vid.
reminds me of the time I first fought ceaseless discharge w arrows only while hiding in a corner :p
HentaiMaster9000 i fucking melee ed ceasless cuz i was too stupid to cheese him
you helped me taking this boss slowly and i beat the boss the usual way, thank you sir
thanks dude i was having trouble this help a lot
It would be easier to get a heavy crossbow from the enemies at lost bastille
wow, so i HAVE been doing it the hard way this whole time.... glad i decided to check this out of curiosity now haha
***** I've died a lot of stupid deaths before I ever got to the boss because I didn't have a shield and got molested by the skeletons.
Silver Mont i know the feels bro. I usually kept my guard up long enough to take the damage but then got guard broke and killed that way.
I love this! This was hilarious! Also, obligatory: "Long live the king"
Dude reaching this boss is actually harder than the boss himself Jesus I can't even reach him at times
I know the feeling haha
Well thanks to you I beat him easily now I'm onto literal hell (iron kings keep) and I am not looking forward to fighting old iron king and smelter demon thank you for the help with the chariot
I remember when I first ever did this I sat there waiting for him to come loop around again but he didn’t so I just sat there and it took a solid 5-6 minutes to realise what happened
Cheeseburger Assassin method. No complaints!
A good way to keep the skeletons busy in the beginning is too bring Bashful Ray into the fight. First clear the way for him so he won't disappear along the way. Let him attack the skeletons while you attack the necromancers.
Who's Bashful Ray? I didn't see any summon sign anywhere.
+Demetheglass His summon sign is in the done shaped building across the bridge. The building is right after fighting the big guy with two sickles. The dome shaped building has hollows in it but they are just moaning on the ground. The NPC is a shade so you'll have to clear the way to the boss so he won't disappear.
Note: His sign is only available in Scholar of the First Sin
This work surprisingly well. Thanx for saving me from a long and creual battle. Getting to this guy is allready annoying enough ^^
But have to say, kinda cool that they made an alternative outcome for this battle.
The song sounds kind of good in fast forward
Jenova Roth IKR?
Silver Mont maybe you should make soundtracks in different speeds. But that might be stupid.
dude, that was hilarious. The soundtrack of the bossfight at high speed reminds me of a castlevania remix. awesome
You got a good point, there!
Silver Mont for some reason it reminds me of Star Wars you know the famous Darth Father i mean Vader sorry and Vader means father in German its true but his theam song the dun dun dun dun dundun dun dundun
Thank god for this video, I kept getting reamed by the stupid skeletons constantly while on route to killing the necromancers :(
The way I beat him as a sorceror I hid on the side where he can't hit me as he runs by I cast great soul arrow after while you can time it faiy easy I noticed there is a level to bring the gate down maybe that is for farming.
3:55
Long live THE KING!!!
This is honestly one of the worst bosses in the entire game. Not even that difficult either. The entire gimmick of the fight doesn’t work because the designers failed to make the chariot’s hitbox correctly, so it can still hit you in the safe areas, which, y’know, are meant to be safe. It’d be nice if you could actually guard the horse’s attacks too, which ofcourse you can’t. At least bosses like moonlight butterfly in the first game aren’t totally unfair. Its shit like this that makes me wonder how people can even compare it to ds1
Not to mention the arena is filled with respawning skeletons for no fucking reason, that are probably going to gank you before you even reach the boss
Wow. I never knew you could be the Chariot in this way. Think of this as the "safe but boring way" of defeating it. Requires a lot of ammunition, time, and is indeed boring. But hey, it works. :D
ZeroStriker426 Oh, doesn't even need too many arrows! I just did it in a very deliberately slow way to prove my point. It should be much faster for people actually employing this tactic. I go for a "lowest common denominator" kinda thing, when possible.
Awesome! Still works in 2022 ;-)
I would say it's not the easiest boss because he do trying to fuck up.
It's not really good how you trying to get outta here when Executioner trying to kills you.
Amazing tutorial,helps a lot
Glad it helped!
the skeletons are a holes If you do it the usual way and pull the lever
Are you going to do the gargoyles in the bell tower it's really hard for me I know you don't have to but it's really cool and hard
I think I include them in the Sinner video, not as their own thing. I couldn't really come up with any tactics for Gargoyles, and it was irritating me running back and forth as I kept getting invaded by people etc. If there is a good tactic for fighting them solo, I've yet to find it.
OK thank I just get my ass kick slot by them thank an way
Albert Gomez um you get 2 soul vessels so you could strength build and stun lock them???? :) edit: i fucked up the word strength -/)-
Thank but I just came back after the scorpion girl overleveled
nightcore dark souls 2
What happens if i killed the necromancer and quit game and play again? Did still there or respawn?
I know full well that at 30% HP the horse can't make the jump, but what if you get the horse down to 40% HP while he's running around, and then deal a blow that finishes off the horse before they even make it to the jump again.
So, what happens if you one shot the horse when it's at 40%? Good question. I would assume it just instantly dies, or goes directly into the "hanging on" phase.
But if it's one shot at 40%, it would be too far away from the jump to hang on to anything. Is there a death animation for while the horse is running around that no one has seen yet?
SuperParkourio
I'm not sure, but what I assume is that it remains alive until it completes its cycle and gets to the point where it can jump. You could probably find out if you managed to get pre-patch or on that patch where Climax was bananas and could do insane damage, just stack it with as much damage boosting as you can find etc.
Maybe a video on it exists!
Still works 2021 thanks
While it's cheesy this definitely seems way more fun to do than actually fighting the boss
It's a ceaseless discharge all over again!
I may try this. This boss is pissing me off to no end so far. Literally been attempting this boss all fucking day. Would really love to know who the asshole at from soft thought it would be a good idea to put the nearest bon fire be between this boss fight and a shit ton of enemies.
Like I gotta use surgical precision just to even get to the fight cause there's so many fucking enemies that could easily kill me on the way there -_- (don't know their names but specifically I'm talking about the tall guys with the halberd like weapons that cause bleed damage) occasionally I somehow get 2 of them on me at once so yeah I think I'm just gonna try it this way. Don't know how well it'll work tho. aren't there 2 necromancers, not just one?
Regardless I want to just get this done already before I have a fucking stroke. Can see now why alot of people hate this souls game out of all the others...
2024 totally agree and people say ds2 is best souls game ever lol 😂😂
@@vivekkumarsingh926 I usually hear people say it’s the worst tbh
@@grimreaper63151 I have seen these comments mostly on videos criticizing ds2, but yea majority agree its bad.
3:56 Just like Ceaseless Discharge...
and speaking of which sliver I am going to change my name to flame wepon when ever I get the chance
Do it.
I cant right now I have to wait a little longer and Now I'm in dragon shrine trying to get the black dragon sword + can you please give me a hint on how to get the black dragon great sword with out having to join the covenant can you get it from the black dragon mpc invader at dragon shrine and farm him because I really want to get it
I have about 3 lingering fire scrolls (5 in all per scroll for me), I simply kill the first mage guy & just lay about 3 lingering fires per boss come around & kick his ass in about 3 to 5 minutes...I helped countless people in Dark Souls with him & its how I make a living in the game. Good source of income.
Joshua Brown Huh, Lingering Flame works? I would've thought that by the time it "detonates" the boss would've already zoomed off. But then, I never tried it. I usually just take him out with a bow, if I'm using this method, 'cos I rarely play magic users.
Yes, it works extremely well at most angles. I just sit back and watch him ride into the trap. Safest way of taking him down if you have enough of them.
wait i just thought of something kill the mages and then kill al skellies where the horse will be after you pull the lever and use dead again
GOTTA GO FAST
BE FREE MY MASTER!
Awaken, mAi maSTas
Yeah the tower shield is the reason I beat every boss so far in first try it’s too broken
It can be quite easy.
Just get some steel fists, and roll a lot.
Get some steel feet too!
Pretty cool, sort of reminds me of the easy way to defeat ceaseless discharge. Does the reward differ if you defeat it this way or if you pull the lever (Cronk!) and fight the horse?
+Calle Nilsson The rewards are the same, I believe
you know, this boss fight is most likely the reason why they got rid of holy enchants, divine pretty much makes this fight super easy when you get rid of the BS skeleton necro's
I dont have any issues with evading his attacks most of the time so I never tried it this way
Yeah, I have more problems with getting squashed by the skeletons in those alcoves then I do with the boss himself.
Of course you wouldn't, Dio.
Kidrat Hinjaku! Hinjaku!
Necromancy and the skeletons are the pain in the assWhen you try to hide , the skeletons follow you then hits you many times until the chariot arrives, then after I move to the second one, it resurrects by a necromancer, when you try to kill it the skeletons will hit you together then many deaths occur, yay start again from far away get killed by Massive weaponed creatures and set all way back to beat again the aggressive dark spirit in front of the door, after losing stamina, it's like slow motion, then actions to beat my arse again, all over and over, problem is also it slows to drink Estus flask . 2 necromancers, a lot of bones, and a chariot .it is insane who the heck would made this game bastardly. Actually one and three are better
So, Mr. HellkiteDrake, where is our "Executinor's Chariot at ten times regular speed" DaS II OST video? :p
Yes that was irony... sort of.
Hm?
Silver Mont Never mind, great vid btw
Thx that really helped
do I have to kill all the great soul bosses sliver or light all primal bonfires or get 1M souls can you plz tell me which bosses I have to kill in order to make it to that castle or what ever
You've lit the four primal bonfires? If so, you should be able to access Drangleic Castle, which is past the Shrine of Winter, if you don't know where that is, you need to head to the Shaded Woods at the crossroads bonfire. If you've not lit the primal bonfires, you'll just need to keep making your way through the levels.
theres a lever pull it and the chariot will crash then cast yr spells or swing ur weapon
+Justin Rohrer Well, yeah - that's the normal way to do this fight. I'd say this method is easier, just more time consuming.
how many arrow do you probably need to have to kill this boss + I have a heavy cross bow is that ok
Any ranged attack (including firebombs, spells etc) works. The nice thing about crossbows/bows are that you can just stock up on cheap wooden projectiles.
Silver I killed him thanks and I also have a question to ask how do I get his armor after the boss fight do I have to spend a surten amount of souls to that little guy or play solar of first sin to get it I'm going to get the Lance and want the armor plz
Titchy Gren or whatever his name is, he sells it once you reach a certain point in the game. I think it might be Drangleic Castle.
I hope I don't have to go to drangleic castle in order to get it Cause I'm lvl 105 and have made it everywhere but there dragon Arie and undead crypt
This is such a cheesy way to beat this guy...I love it!! I feel like this method was put in to help people who couldn't figure out the lever...then again I probably wouldn't have figured it out my first time either if it weren't for all of the "Lever required" and "Lever here!" messages left around. hahahah I love how there are more creative ways to kill some of the bosses. This is a perfect example of a well designed boss fight. Two very clever and very different approaches to the same goal.
Only1Laughing m
fuck this boss. Horribly designed. The skellies are the real fuckin bosses. They're the reason this boss is a boss.
@@dirtyconsole2247 fuck the skellie
Pations Young one
Why is everyone comparing this to ceaseless discharge? Hes a one hit gimmick boss.
'Cos you can make both of them fall down a hole, I suppose
dont know if its been addressed already but using the same tactics i 4 shoted him using dead again where i killed the skeletons. like 25 intelligence btw
+504ghost504 Yeah, you can apply a lot of spells/items using the basic tactic of standing in that alcove
+Silver Mont great vids by the way helped my out a ton and gave me a little more confidence to tackle bosses
boss that made me quit the game
not just because of the boss itself
but because of all the bullshit you have to endure before the fog gate
and losing around 30k souls because of fromsoft giving me the middle finger
It was quite the slog, but try not to worry about souls - they aren't a finite currency and you can always get more.
very good thank you
Music is lit
It is!
Never in my life has a dark souls game been as annoying as this one, not even in a fun way.
would the sea bow with iron arrows work
Yup
silver Mont should I use ex Chariot Lance or dragon slayer spear
I don't think the Dragon Slaying Spear is in DaS2, is it? But in general, go with whatever weapon you want to - they are all fairly viable in DaS2!
+mister marston Oh my bad, Dragonslayer is in the game. I had a stupid moment.
Well I've been playing alot and I killed Dukes dear spiter lost sinner and smelter demon a + 10 great club really helps lol but I also got to drangleic castle plus I got smelter demons sword and also I kill twin dragon riders lol I really have been playing a lost plus a +5 grym great shield really helps lol and it really helped with smelter because it resists fire and when he hit my sheild it was like a tooth pick hiting a wall I really love that grym great shield and lost sinner was same way and now I'm lvl 114 lol when the first time I saw this video I was lvl 86 I have been playing alot lol thanks for your videos you made for all those boss guides they all really helped
Plus Now I have a +8 hunters black bow and I got it in drangleic castle and now I need petrified dragon bone to upgrade my smelter demon sword I got from shade
I've always just done it the normal way...
or you can just pull the fucking lever and beat the shit out of easy ass horse
+ibrahim jeskinkilic Yeah. The hard part for me is getting past the skeletons. The horse is pretty easy in comparison.
+SuperLotus really the horse is what always gets me.
Pacific Bobcat9er He does throw me off sometimes. Being under 30% equip load helps because you have longer roll distance. Decent agility is useful too.
because I have to get 1M souls or 4 boss souls I have already used and or light all primal bonfires
it is ok to use this method with spells ( + binoculars) but it just take TOO long like that ( light crossbow)
By all means, dude. I was only using a crossbow because I had nothing else to shoot him with, haha. This just proves that even a rubbish crossbow will do the trick. Spells or a powerful bow/crossbow are the better way tho.
how can you aim on crossbow???!!
Jin Gunen I think it was L1/LB or L2/LT iirc
At dark souls remastered you can't but here use need to use it like a bow.
Thank u, vou helped me. From Brazil
skellies3spuky5me, btw love the high speed version of the song lel
It's pretty good.
THANKYOU!!
This is easier than killing him with the switch & gate and finishing off the horses?? I killed this guy that way on my first time in my first playthrough and had no problems at all. It also took significantly less time. All you have to do is use every alcove and kill the enemies as they approach you. There is just enough time to wipe out each skeleton and move to the next alcove before he comes around again. The resurrections never were a problem for me at all here.
This way is easier, yeah.
It depends on your class, really. As a sorc/cleric, things can get hectic really fast when those skeletons surround you esp. if you deal minimal damage with your melee weapon. This way might not look easier for melee but personally I found this way is much easier for sorcerer. The downside is the fight becomes boring, though.
3:57 Mmm watcha say
+Epic Duck Thatchaonlymeantwelllll
well of course you didn"t
Is there really any lore on the executioner because they seem interesting but there's not much about them and you hardly even see the actual executioner.
Thx for reading this :)
You see him at the start of the fight and on the ground after the horses bust through the gate. I guess he just keeps them going on that path. Nothing else, really.
Well, the Executioner's duty was to torture the undead forever. That duty was most likely given to him by the Old Iron King, who hated the Undead and used to hunt them in the same grounds that the big Arena is in. That horse was only created to torture the Undead for eternity. Who knows whether or not there was once an actual horse in front of the Chariot :P
Note: the boss name is the 'Executioner's Chariot', not the actual executioner himself, so for all I know he could be any random fellow
GorrilaMashx There's a little you can find from the item descriptions, but most of it seems to revolve around the horse being the actual power behind this boss, and the guy on top is just a peon.
I just feel like they aren't trying to make interesting characters and are just recycling old characters, but the won't reuse solaire which really saddens me!
u can just close the gate and he Crashes into it
+Henry Gummerus Well yeah, that's the normal way to fight him - this is an alternative method that might prove handy for anyone having trouble.
+Silver Mont k
+Silver Mont u were right
yeah but damn his horze is a badass
I will use have of your method. Kill the skeletons and all the enemy. Then use the bow the take half of his health then fight him head on.
I don't have time to kill a boss like this
I was using wood bolts and an unupgraded crossbow. Spells, or an upgraded bow/crossbow will make this go by much faster.
you know this videos would be better if you added commentary instead
what about a bow ?
+Austin Weaver A bow would work fine! Anything ranged. I just didn't have the stats for a bow.
theres a lever 7 can pull that the chariot would crash into and u could attack it while its still on the ground
Yeah I know u did that once
And in NG+? I'm stuck at this boss because i'm melee only.
Well, any ranged weapon works (even unupgraded crossbows or even throwing pots/knives) but if you want to do it full melee, then I suggest bringing a shield with high stability.
Silver Mont Executioner death by pots sound cool
Alex West Once you get the timing down, it won't be too hard to hit 'em with pots each time he comes by.
You can also just, you know... put the gate down to fight it in melee combat. It takes a bunch of damage from crashing through the gate, and you can land some free hits before it gets to its feet. Not necessarily as easy, but it's certainly faster.
Damn that Sped up Music :D
Accelerated!
got to say i disagree with this tactic. takes way to long and is kinda cheap. fighting all the way to the end is much more eventful and fun imo.
That's sort of the point - it's the easiest way to beat the boss!
I used dark orb instead
That would be a lot faster than a crappy crossbow
And a lot safer and time for the most part.
this boss should have had more skeletons. Rat boss fight with mass rats was pathetic. Send bunch of skeletones to charge. Skeletons don't do much considering chariot steamroll helps you to get em in stun lock, adn they die easy thanks to death of necromancers. Should have made the horse the necromancer instead, or the rider.
Bosses feel easier than later counterparts and more lazy. Dragonrider falling down pit? Pursuer death by bolt? Pathetic slow Giant Lord? Gravelord Rotten doesn't have skeletons to bother with you? Smelter Demon and water? Poison/Stunlock combos, which I recall much of the enemies didn't get posioned very easy in the old game...
Bosses feel less like bosses, and more like mass enemies in general in many cases. An yes, I know Dark Souls had a good few, but they were pretty good for the most part. The enemies tied with Gaping, Capra, and Nito added a difficulty that would have been missed when alone: Gapping gets a nice continuous soul arrows and super buffs, Capra gets quick dogs to compensate his lack of speed for super swings, and Nito covered his super heavy yet slow and dangerous swings (with a good few attacks being dangerous by their own right) with three giants and three/four minature skelies, which worked well with Nito. the only one that was bad was Taurus, and that was a lesson for newbies to NOT charge in and get yourself at a disadvantage.
But it feels as if many of the bosses have more enemies tied to them, or are in groups together, then they are alone for the most part. The ones that are alone are usually indeed the easiest ones to deal with in general, and are easy cheesed. I wish they were more innovated like the Mirror Knight. A vastly improved version of the stupid Monk from Demons Souls. Instead of fighting an NPC phantom or a player as a boss, which is dumb, you can fight a boss AND an invader, which is awesome.
To be fair, you can kill Capra Demon without even entering his room! Both games have their fair share of silly tactics you can employ.
True, I saw the video. Along with Manus with the DS Big Bow, along with some other bosses.
I really don't like that in any gameplay. The Capra Demon, sure, whatever. But some of them it feels broken. Don't think killing Manus from afar with a Dragonslayer Bow was intentional, do you?
the challenge in these bosses is to keep the mentally deficient NPC summons alive
yeah... NPCs were meatshields for the most part. Some NPCs are better though. AKA, Jester.
you dont get anything for keeping jester alive but i wanted lucatiels kit and seeing her standing in front of the lost sinner with her shield down not even attacking made me want to cry
like a boss 👏😄
omg i love you (im not a gay) but damn thanks man
he's already easy enough as it is? :s
Not for everyone though. I had a lot of trouble with him personally and this is a guide for people like me who might need that extra bit of help. Funnily it was also one of my favourite fights :D
....
The boss is easy enough, it's the gauntlet before that gives most people trouble. This allows you to (effectively) deal with it at your own pace.
That is ridiculously slow. All you have to do is take your time and kill the two mages then flip the lever. Not this slow bullshit
It's slow but easy. What you're describing is the normal way to go about it
I get it, and I get why some people would want to do it this way. I just don't have a problem throwing some alluring skulls down and killing the mages - this video should exist though so my complaints are irrelevant
Haha, it might not be the best way to do the boss, or even an advisable way, but it's one way! The safest way is usually the most boring, too. Like killing Capra Demon by throwing poo at him.
But he's already easy X)
Trying it at low level can be a real pain in the ass if you don't have the means to deal with the skeletons. The actual boss though? Yeah, he's pretty easy.
Ur Face Is Soooooo Fab!
