I’m not going to lie, I like the Scott Pursuit. It’s only a $150 thumb button and the wrist strap is legitimately the most comfortable strap I’ve ever worn. The thumb button is kind of small on it, but it’s a GREAT choice for someone who doesn’t want to spend $250-$350 on it.
I like that release as well, and use the cord that comes between the release and strap as a strap so you can just slide your hand in it or leave it attached to the bow.
I'll definitely be looking at that hybrid release. Seems like the best of both worlds. I would like it to be a closed caliper style, but you can't have everything. I'm sure it wouldn't take long to get used to the open hook. Thanks again for more options.
Are you going to consider the new ultraview sight for the 2024 season? It seems to have everything you and MFJJ look for in a slider sight. Lov ethe channel keep them coming!
I carry my TruBall HBC hinge & Blade releases in the little side pockets of my marsupial bino harness. One on each side. And use a 4-in ball bungee to hold them in when I'm just hiking but they normally stay snug and it takes a lot for them to fall out.
Just picked up the Axis as my backup for the Onnex Click. Might move it to my primary for Elk season. I was super impressed with the Axis, and it is size is very similar to the Onnex. I didn't need to make any adjustments to anchor points or draw length.
I have the Stan Axis, which I have used for half of my local 3D tournament league this summer. It has been a great release, but one complaint is that there is no place to tuck the release when moving around, so you either hold onto it or risk catching it on stuff as you are moving through wooded areas. For this reason, I am considering getting the Native Archery Traditions release strap that has an elastic band for use with my Ultraview thumb button. As I will most likely be in a tree stand, and want the convenience of having a release that I won't drop. If anything, I will be taking the UV relase as a backup in my bino harness.
What about the Whisper 2 from Carter? Not sure if it has a way to a add a lanyard but it does have an open hook like the Stan. I’m thinking of getting one as a backup to my Carter Convertible when they come out
I shoot a Cobra Harvester two finger. My hands are not small but this release is. Has a wrist strap. Also, the way it comes, the button is to small so they sell a kit with three different size buttons. This is a very under rated release. Quality wise is as good as any. For me, the Nock 2 it is to large. So, it's just my opinion.
Hey Dan, who won the giveaway? I’m still confused because it’s in the header but I didn’t hear the answer. I know it’s not likely but I dreamt I won it. 😂
I went with a carter quickie plus for this deer season. So far I like it

@@jeffevans4598yep, that’s a good way to do it as well! It’s just the actual strap it comes with is SO comfy.

was there any difference in your draw length or anchor point when switching from the Carter to the Stan?
Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL Triple Stack and the new Stan Onnex Clicker is where it's at for sight and release.
The UV sight is all you need.
Looking forward to seeing your 24 matthews set up.

Was there a draw length change going to this release?
If ya haven't tried it yet try the Scott verge it's a wrist strap that has a 2 finger trigger and also has a click. And is a hook style
Hha all the way. I'm running the 2pin vertical ryz this year

Why not use the onnex? You can engage before your start and just hook it when your ready?
awesome!! Where can we snag that shirt!! Its perfect!!!
Whats the name of the release MFJJ talking about ? I missed it
Stan Axis
Is that sight a HHA 4-pin Tetra Ryz with one of the pins removed?

Most of truball release aids have a spot for a strap
Where can I get that Squatch shirt?!
Tru ball trident. Open hook and automatically resets
The Canyon Pounder.
Canyon pounder for the win imo
When will you have some more side plates available?
Nevermind I don’t know why I didn’t receive a reminder that they were back in stock
Love your videos dan. Definitely wish the audio was better. Definitely decline in quality since Tim left.
You should try the UV slider
Where do you enter these giveaways at?
Usually in the comments section 👍🏼
MFJJ and Joel T need to get Stan to put a click in that release as well !! And I’m in
I’d like to switch to a thumb release. I feel like that axis would get annoying just swinging around while your hiking. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I shoot the axis, only thing I don't like is the thumb peg it comes with that can be changes out but it's gonna cost a little money not much though
My biggest reason for hand held is to not have anything on my wrist.
I FEEL THIS!!! -DS

But let's talk about that shirt. Where do I spend my money?
I like the release MFJJ showed you
soo is the UV Slider going to be top dawg for 2024?? That thing is absolutely filthy looking but came out so close to Elk Season!!
Would love to hear your thoughts and likes and dislikes on the new ultraview slider
The carter has a hole in the engagement button to tie to a wrist strap

Video says to be continued… the next video is uploaded and scheduled for tomorrow morning 😊😊
Carter wise choice with d loop as a wrist strap
PS: where did you announce the winner of the release giveaway? I was actually feeling lucky, dang.
Yeah I've watched it 3 times and never seen anything on the giveaway.
It says to be continued... the video drops tomorrow, we just finished editing and it will be uploaded soon! Thanks! -DS
@ElkShape sorry I was on duty last night only got 4 hours of sleep... 2 cups of ignite isn't working so I missed that.
You should make a video on what you carry in the mountains for predators. Glock20? Bear spray? Sounds like a cool video
Dan are you okay? Seem sad or out of it in this video hah
Filmed right after a workout. Not the best time apparently haha!!
Is this give away a scam? Seems like everyone is getting this notice
