Great job, fellas. Love it. I've gone away from hand held --- I just can't get my finger all around the trigger to close the loop without cutting off the circulation to my fingers. So, now I shoot a hand-held. Love it. It fits me perfectly and I can control my shot better - way more consistent.
Scott used to make a handheld index finger haven’t seen one in years though should tell em to bring it back was easier to pull my bow back and most accurate I’ve ever been was with that release
I always hear Dan and many other people talk about keeping release in pocket or somewhere on there person. I Always have mine attached to my wrist with a lanyard. (Thumb button) I have a wrist sweatband I keep it under when walking. I shoot over 10,000 arrows a year and my release is like a part of my hand and couldn’t imagine it not being attached to me. I do carry an extra in my pack.
He looked more comfortable with the Scott Hex. I have wanted to try that release, because it reminds me of the of the old Scott Longhorn release. I still have the old Longhorn, 2 of them actually.
Hey Dan, this week is the week I’ve been watching everyday you’ve been gaining and gaining and at thus rate with a video a day your getting that 100K!!! Congrats ahead of time you earned it 🎉🎉
I'd go with what he was most comfortable with (the apex core), plus he liked that he could leave it hooked on the D-loop while hunting. That Hex looked pretty cool, I could definitely use some help with my back tension technique!
I shot the Scott Verge this year. It's a Great release just too cumbersome for my liking. Especially in and out of a treestand. I am sure it has its application. I really enjoyed the click. The Apex Core is my choice. I am a big fan of clipping my release on the D-loop because I either hunt out of a blind or treestand. Dan got me hooked on the Carter Too Simple.
My vote goes to whatever he likes the best. I started off using the spot hogg whipper snapper, lost it last season hunting white tail. I bought the Saturday night special and have enjoyed it. I've been looking into the stan onnex. I have to give a look at Scott now. They have some really good offerings. Thanks Dan for a killer video.
I can’t even help choose for myself! Haha! Dan since you have a big collection of releases you should send me a few to try out! I’ll sell them back to when I’m done😂
You could definitely tell he felt more at home with the Select. Hard to move away from a hinge once they become your go to. Now you guys just need to convince Scott to release a Longhorn Pro with the dual moons like the Ascent and Select. I’d buy two today lol
I've some bad luck with the Scott S2 for missing parts from the factory for the first one but I loved the trigger so I bought another one and it randomly fires while being in my draw cycle multiple times. I had to send both back. I have not gotten them back yet.
I personally like the Apex or Apex Core, but had a Hex and loved it. I wish I had never gotten rid of the Hex. Never hunted with it, but it was amazing with 3d and indoor.
I think Tyler should shoot the release he likes the best.. that's all that matters. For Target I'm using the Scott Ascent / Truball GOAT Hunting I'm using the Truball Blade / Spot Hogg Whipper Snapper Great video guys ✨️
I really wish that someone would make a good polymer frame handheld release. Aluminum is cold and heavy. It has no traction. Make the Glock of releases. I’d even steal their naming conventions.
Apex Core. 😀 I'm a NockOn Carter guy although I play around with the UV button, Stan OnnexC, and Spot Hogg Wiseguy. Great review of the Scott lineup guys!
Being a lifelong shooter, I could never tell someone which release to use. It is very personal. Everyone likes a different style. Imagine that record bull stepping out and he does not have the release in his hand that he lives. The one that becomes an extension of the hand. Nope, I can’t in good conscience tell someone else what release they are going to go on a paid elk hunt with. Now, all that being said, if it were my pick, I would pick a handheld release ONLY if it could have a wrist strap connected to the back of it. The best of both worlds. The wrist strap to be sure to not lose it, but a three finger release just because it feels 5-10lb lighter on the pull weight when your gripping it with your hand instead of pulling with your arms. Just this old mans opinion. I love the color of the strings on his bow. Flo Green... nothing better.
Have a nock2it and really love it especially being 2 finger with a 3rd little resting spot…mines the first gen. Also have 2smooth and silverback. I do really wanna try the new whisper tho, that mechanism looks like it should be such a clean crisp feeling break
@@ABQfitness I already knew that Carter makes the nock2it. I’m saying that they should sell their own because Dudley’s are hard to get and some people don’t want the colors. Soooo Carter should make their own version for the masses of people who want that style of release.
@@Orr_s I have a silverback mini and 2 wise choices. My first wise choice I cut off the 3rd finger because nock2its were sold out every time I tried to get one. Love Carter.
@@darkwandervids6717 look into the guy that does the “Ex-Okie” custom brass barrels. Shipped to my door made to order for like 26 bucks maybe. Game changer. Love them. Diff sizes and weights available…Dan has one in his orange one shown a lot

These videos from Elite, Scott and ultra all sales rep and teaching us information…. Has been some of my favorites personally 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Scott used to make a handheld index finger haven’t seen one in years though should tell em to bring it back was easier to pull my bow back and most accurate I’ve ever been was with that release
I love the S2! I’ve shot multiple index, hing, and back tention releases but always find myself going back to my S2

Working on it! 👊🏼

Hey Dan you mentioned a giveaway in yesterday’s video. Not sure where I can enter…. May God bless you and your family!

That freaking Scott S2 holy hell I want one now.
Just set up my trek pro micro 3v and it’s killer! Love the Blake series!

I'd go with the Apex Core, even though I hunt with a wiseguy, I think the Core would make me want to try something different. Great reviews.
Go with the wrist rocket. Allow u to spend more on sights. An rest for your bow. The budget is only do big.
I can’t even help choose for myself! Haha! Dan since you have a big collection of releases you should send me a few to try out! I’ll sell them back to when I’m done😂
Apex core or the apex for sure but he should have the hinge as a backup to the backup and for training
You could definitely tell he felt more at home with the Select. Hard to move away from a hinge once they become your go to.

Perfect timing now I got Morning vidja to watch while warming up my crane

The Scott talon or ghost wrist wrap
I feel like he looked the most comfortable with the Scott Select
Scott verge is what I landed on. I am still working on getting it nailed, but getting there.
I got it too. I love it. But eished they had it in here to get some of their thoughts on it
@@kevincumberland4142 I would 100% lose handhelds and I can't stomach losing a bunch of those.
Great stuff. Thanks
I would like to try the scott apex core. But thats another 300 down the tube. When i already have three expensive thumb buttons.
Hoping to mabey be able to try some different releases this summer.
Thank you Dan I have shoot Scott's most of my life I'm going to look at the Hex God's Blessings to you all
I shoot an elite Scott index for hunting right now… this season I really wanted look at trying a apex for target ,
I bought the S2 and even with the screws all the way in (minus a half turn) it is hot. Does Scott make a stouter spring set up for more tension?
I say go with what Tyler felt best with the Core!
I think Tyler should shoot the release he likes the best.. that's all that matters.
For Target I'm using the Scott Ascent / Truball GOAT
Hunting I'm using the Truball Blade / Spot Hogg Whipper Snapper
Great video guys ✨️
I use both. Hunting I use TruBall The Beast BC edition and target I use Stan PerfeX. I think he should shoot whatever is more comfortable for himself.
Did you swap out the stock Match strings finally and why? or is that another bow
I lost a Stan thumb button this season. Now my release is on a rangefinder tether and lives in my bino harness
My vote would be to try the Hex. With time I think that release could definitely be a dark horse.
I am a handheld guy never been a big fan of strap releases stand perfxheavy metal or ultra view hinge are my go to
I vote for the Hex, I use it and love it, I also use it for hunting.

Dan where's your hoody from? Play with that s2 a little bit, I dropped my handhelds for it, its money.
Baby GAP
Hex! Have hunted with one for at least 8 years.
I would say the HEX would be money for tyler.
Kool info
Love the index from Scott
The core.
Let’s go Scott
Still using an unknown index from Walmart 15 years ago….

Went from 99.2 to 99.3 in a day!! Let’s go road to 100k!!
I would shoot the apex core for hunting purposes. The apex and hex are 2 and 3 for me.
Carter should make a two finger thumb button like the nock2it. It’s basically a wise choice but two finger and always sold out on Dudley’s website.
Have a nock2it and really love it especially being 2 finger with a 3rd little resting spot…mines the first gen. Also have 2smooth and silverback. I do really wanna try the new whisper tho, that mechanism looks like it should be such a clean crisp feeling break

Tell Blake that I have a Black Hole 3 that I’d swap for a Scott Ascent or Select 👍
S2
What release are you and MFJJ hunting with this yr?
HEX!
I really wished you guys had the verge to give some feedback on 😢
Don’t know why anyone would use anything other than an Onnex!!
I say the s2
Hex
Scott hex
I make jokes 😂😂😂😂😂
Core
Please put a wrist strap on the select!!!
I think that's the one Tyler was hoping everyone would pick for him! -DS
This dude seems to have the personality of a wooden fence post so far in these videos. But i vote verge
This dude is one of my BFF's and he's a Captain FF slash badass backcountry hunter. Thanks for watching! -DS
Apex Core
Apex core, S2
Stick to the core!
Beanie and a hat 👎
Thank you
