Gerudo are my favorite fictional race. Just the idea of a race of women who almost exclusively give birth to daughters is something so original and unique and gives the race a kind of fertility motif that wouldn't work if the tribe had reversed the gender curse. Further irony is that these fertile women exist in a desert not in a lush valley. The desert is harsh and so are they, the desert bears an oasis and they are also a kind of oasis in terms of perhaps the MALE FANTASY. A tribe of generations of beautiful women who may lure men from the outside to continue their line, cursed to serve one king, who occasionally happens to be demise incarnate, but they do not yield to his evil. They are stronger in their will to survive than their subjugation to a king or a curse. I just think the whole jfea is facinating and the design and execution of Gerudo is perfect.
@@JariDawnchildi'm pretty sure theyre born from rocks too, they dont reproduce. Theyre truly sexless but use male pronouns and descriptors ("brother")
The male Gorons being allowed in is probably just playing up the joke on Gerudo women’s inexperienced with men (ie: needing only to be in drag to be allowed entry.) So likely they aren’t able to easily tell the difference especially since Gorons are obviously not mammals.
Your channle name is ironic because my channel was called zelda lore a month before this channel was made but I changed it to the legend of zelda themes
Good question! Ganondorf turns into Ganon when he gains inmense power such as the Triforce of Power in Ocarina/Twilight Princess, or getting the trident of power in Four Swords Adventures. Ganondorf's pig form reflects the evil in his heart, similar to how Link became a pink bunny in A Link to the past to reflect his inner self. It is the form he takes when he assumes the role as Demon King. In the downfall timeline, the timeline created if Link dies in Ocarina of Time during the final battle, Ganondorf, now transformed into Ganon, remains in his pig form in all the games that follow. The Ganon transformation, when using the triforce of power, can be triggered by Ganondorf at will. Think of it as a powerup of sorts. He can revert back if he chooses.
I’ve always loved the Gerudo. A tribe full of strong, female warriors/merchants. And I’m glad Nintendo’s dropping the notion of a male ruling a female tribe.
Excellent work, Lore!
Thank you!!

You deserve so many more subs.
Best lores out there!
It's up that that's for sure
You never fail to give me even more newfound deeper appreciation for Zelda!
I think the Gorons are not male or female so that's why the Gerudo let them into Gerudo Town in BotW XD
Same XD
They're as genderless as the rocks they eat? Now there's an interesting concept.

zelda lore I have a very interesting question about grudo if you want to hear it.

do Gorons lay eggs-?

So they're a mixture of the Amazonians and the Arabs. Ok?
In a way, yes!
Why is ganon sometimes a pig?
