Michelle, another great video. I store the dies on magnetic sheets right in the same case as the stamps. I keep the insert labels for the dies on the backside of the case. If the dies do not have a coordinating stamp set, they get their own DVD case. Thanks so much. 😊 I truly wish Stampin Up would name the dies the same name as the stamps since mainly they are used together. 😣
I used to store mine that way but there are so many now that while they coordinate with a stamp set, they have dies that don't cut a 'stamped' image - like a tag or border and I kept forgetting to use them. Dies stay with the stamp set while they're current as I flip through those frequently. Once retired, they move to my die storage shelf. Creative Blessings!
Love the idea of adding the image from the catalog index. Sometimes, it's hard to tell what image a die is & that little cut up image would help so much! Thanks for sharing!
HI Michelle. Gotta love Menards. I didn't think about the 5x7 size. That said, I Make pockets from laminator pockets. There's a video on my channel. I won't have to make those now that our dies come in sizzix style envelopes. I see you store yours on the shelf book style. I store mine in baskets flip-folder style. You can actually get more to a shelf that way, though I do undertand you like being able to see the name on the spine. Love being organized. Makes playing more fun. Creative Blessings!
Hi! I've seen a few of your videos and this one was very timely! I just ordered a long desk, desk chair and drawers to sit next to a few shelves and create my own workshop and office space! I struggle so much with my dies!! If I use one a lot I often forget which die set it goes with so I have all these loose dies sitting around!! I also double up on ordering them sometimes! I love this idea!! I can definitely see it in my not-too-distant future!! Thank you for sharing! I also plan to photocopy/scan each set and keep a reference of the whole set to that if I do find a "stray" I can refer to my "master list" and figure out which set it belongs to!
Great organizing tip. I also photocopy the dies before I remove them from the sheet. Then I cut the image down to fit the case, tape it on the magnetic sheet so that I know where each die goes, sometimes they are hard to fit back together, and I can quickly tell if one is missing, especially those little ones. Thanks for sharing your tips.
I love this idea for those who have the space for all those cases. Since I have so many stamp sets, I've been thinking of moving them all to plastic stamp sleeves. But then what would I do with all those dvd cases? Lol! Love your new craft space and your organizing ideas!
I purchased 5 x 7 magnet sheets from Amazon and they’ve already got adhesive on the backside you just have to peel them and stick them inside your cases. And I stuck my dies in the stamps that with the stamps if it was a specific stamp set that more or less could not be used for something else I stuck the dice and stamps together in the same case.
I like your system very much it's logical and yes very organized. Had you considered how you will reference the dies that coordinate with a particular stamp set? Will you be making a index/inventory book showing each die cut out? But very good ideas, and yes that magnetic dish does help to keep from misplacing/loosing dies for sure. Great job.
I have done that very thing a few months ago and I just love it. BUT, I like your idea of gluing the magnetic sheet to the case!! My magnetic sheets are glued onto cardboard that I cut to fit so it gives a bit more stability. Also I plan to order the display containers. This was my first time to watch and I subscribed. Thank you!
This is a really good idea for storing dies and thanks for showing us. Just a heads up cost of holder in the states is $15.99 for one but in Canada for one is $50.00. So out of reach for me. Love watching your UA-cam.
oh my goodness I love, love, love this. Thank you so very much. Now I just need to find me a helper. :) My room is a big mess and it is getting out of control.
That’s nice too. I like seeing all the names of them so maybe I forget about one it’s right there. I use to do something like you before at my home studio. But they always were just shuffled in there and so many not used. I seem to be using more now. But it could be that’s it’s just new still. Thanks for watching. That way you do definitely works for less space.
So you do not keep the stamps & dies together in the case? Is that working well? I’m so torn on how to manage mine. ☺️thanks! Oh and congrats on your achievements with Stampin Up (I was @ onstage) 🎉🙋🏼♀️
I use my label maker and type the name of stamp set and put it on the magnetic sheet with the dies and then I also type the name of the die using my label maker and add that to the front of my stamp set.
I also cross reference my dies and stamp sets with each others’ names as often they are different. Saves a lot of hassle looking!

Bev Adams on her blog has case insert downloads for die’s in her organization category

Menards has a 15 per cent “all you can fit in the bag” sale several times throughout the year which would make the magnetic sheets more affordable….
Very clever😊
Great idea!

What a good system you have Michelle x
Thanks
Thank you🥰
Thank you Michelle! Great way to store & organize the dies.
Such a great idea Thanks for sharing
Thank you Michelle, love this idea. Think I’m going to try this.
Thank you for sharing this
Thanks so much for the wonderful tip!
Brilliant!!! Thanks for the tip, I am so adopting this method
Yay!
Love this idea. Thank you for sharing!!
Excellent ideas thank you!

I got these now too. I love the adhesive on the back.
I have tried other ways and love this one the best.
What a great way to store the dies, I might have to do this too!
Let me know if you do. I’ve tried a few other but this is best for me at the moment. :)
Great tips
Great idea! TFS
Great ideas!
Love this idea
Thanks
Love your idea and ordered the last items tonight. Any hints for organizing and storing embossing folders. Thanks

Amazon sells the magnet sheets that are already cut.
I use the vent covers as well, I just wish they were a bit stronger of a magnet
Amazing ideas! Thank you so much!

Watched replay and I am going to try that ! So when it’s a bundle with dies and stamps how do you do that or how do you know which sets go together?

how do you store your stams. Great die storage ideas thank you. Sandy Davis
oh my goodness I love, love, love this. Thank you so very much. Now I just need to find me a helper. :) My room is a big mess and it is getting out of control.
It’s so easy to get it out of control!
I did something similar but instead of the DVD boxes I have them in clear envelopes and in a clear bin. I needed something that took up less space.

Hi, love this idea. Can you tell me is those cases work for the stamp sets as well?
Yes they would for any of the clear or cling ones. That’s exactly what the Stampin up ones come in.
So you do not keep the stamps & dies together in the case? Is that working well? I’m so torn on how to manage mine. ☺️thanks! Oh and congrats on your achievements with Stampin Up (I was @ onstage) 🎉🙋🏼♀️
No I do not. Year ago I did and I didn’t like it that way for me personally. But I know a lot of friends do it that way too.
Thank you so much! 💕
I was just searching for stamp cases.
We sell them at Stampin up. :)
Thank you.
How do you link your dies to the matching stamp set and know that certain stamp sets have matching dies?
The thing I add to the back shows the dies, the quantity, price and also the coordinating stamp set/name. :)
@@OwlStarStampers Do you also mark the stamp set somehow to alert you to the fact that there are dies?
I use my label maker and type the name of stamp set and put it on the magnetic sheet with the dies and then I also type the name of the die using my label maker and add that to the front of my stamp set.
@@sandyjustian7873 I don’t because I use them so often I usually remember.
That's what I did with my dies. Got my magnetic sheets from the dollar store
That’s awesome!
Fantastic idea. Thank you for sharing
