I believe Burr has said that this is definitely some reflection on his father and family in the 70s. It also hits the nail on the head with an Irish Catholic family. The fifth season really explored father/son and I feel like Burr had experienced something with his dad recently
My mom was born in '79 and she says she can't watch the show because it reminds her too much of her own childhood in terms of the actions of the parent characters. In her own words "its a little too close to home"
"It's a show about trying to mess up your kids a little less than your parents messed you up" Bill Burr actually says this exact thing in one of his netflix specials. He says it pretty much word for word. You can tell that Burr was incredibly hands on with this show, because his philosophy and his outlook on life just oozes out of it. It's one of the reasons I love it.
I just finished the entire series, I can't believe how underrated this show is. The characters have so many layers, the writing is hilarious. This show is a must watch
I just finished the season right before this video came out and I audibly said: “Wow that was a good season.” This season, in my opinion, did what many recent shows have not managed to do. Stick to it’s original premise, well and consistently at that. I started watching the show because Bill Burr's name was attached to it but now I’ve come to appreciate it as its own entity.
Bill's arc conclusion (Rossie getting pulled over) was SO uncomfortable to witness for all the right reasons. You could feel the emotion just by the look on his and Rossie's daguther's faces that entire sequence. I was honestly fearing for the worst
Rosie's daughter is named Nia, who is based on Bill's real life wife of the same name. This scene silently starts another one that we will probably never see based on their eventual relationship.
I just finished the series today and the way the music cut, you knew who the officer's were but couldn't see their faces, and you felt something terrible was going to happen to Rosie or even Nia. I liked that Bill realized the worst of policemen and their abuse of power, and it changed him. But the tension in that scene felt so real.
I genuinely didn’t know it was the final season until the last episode last mins in I realised that and it’s a shame wanted to know why gombar is a weirdo
I felt so dumb that it took me near the end of this season to realise Bill is stand in for Bill Burr himself. When the very end of the show with Frank telling Bill he's funny but too bad you can't make a living off of that.
Frank's character development all the way up to the end of the series was great. I felt bad seeing Bill go from being a good sweet kid to a little bit more of a trouble maker. Vic was my favorite character
I thought Bill was gonna go off the deep end, but him witnessing the police pulling Rosie over, scaring his daughter Nia, and seeing how the cops abuse their power and it's terrifying reality made Bill rethink everything.
Yeah Michael Price mutiple times said VJ wasn't Kevin's, plus look at the kid, that the only way if that kid can be more like Vic's if he came out with sunglasses and a joint in hand
One thing I do like about Frank is how much effort he puts into overcoming the biases he has, especially when it comes to his kids. Everything about his kids shows how they deviate from the stereotypes of their gender. -Kevin and Bill despite being boys are very sensitive and if anything, are the ones who need way more emotional support then their sister. -Maureen also has more stereotypically male interests than female interests. She loves computers, math, and gore, and she wanted to wear a male Halloween costume which aren't things that you'd associate with a typical 10 year old girl. She's also not as sensitive as her brothers, with season 5 being the only time we see her be sensitive. And while that doesn't seem bad for us, Frank is a guy who was raised with very sexist and toxic masculinity values. Plus this in the 70's, and yet he doesn't insist that Maureen take up more girly interests, and he's not like Joseph who shamed his daughter for wanting an education. He could've given Maureen shit for being gifted but he didn't. As for Kevin and Bill, even though he's not super understanding of them he does try, not once does he tell them that "men aren't allowed to be soft" and that conversation with Kevin where they talk about their feelings? That's pretty progressive on Frank's part. We also don't ever see Frank be that way with Sue either. His issue with her getting a job wasn't that he thinks women should only be at home, his issue with it was him projecting his own insecurities onto her. Also we never see or hear him judging Sue for having gone to college.
well i mean i wouldnt say that frank doesnt tell his sons to not be "soft" bc he legit told bill several times smth along the lines of "were murphy men and we shove down our feelings" after bill would try to open up to him abt seeing a dude fucking explode. i think that while its rare that they get along, its easier for frank to talk to kevin about feelings because they're so similar and they express their feelings with anger a lot of the time like when kevin yelled at alice out of nowhere.
F is for Family had a rough start, but honestly it grew to be one of the best shows on Netflix. I hope anyone who can, gives it a try. I also love how the resolution of Season 1 mirrors the resolution of season 5. It had a great run, and despite it being over, I'm glad I caught it.
I would love if you also made a deep dive into Vic's character Arc The last 3 seasons really showed an interesting side of him. I especially love how ready and unregretful he was raising his baby the final season
I love how there’s always stuff in the background that calls back to previous things, characters walking around and things you can blink and you’ll miss. Like seeing Smokey’s albino son (and also literally the Jeffery dahmer thing)
@@chloechilders6392 There is a character in the show named Jeffrey Dahmer. He's that annoying blond kid with tinted glasses that insults the Murphys occasionally. His dad is Officer Dahmer. He's not the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, but his name and appearance are based on him.
I would LOVE more F is for Family content from this channel, especially going over the individual character relationships, even characters like Vic or Pogo, this show did such a good job at fleshing out fully formed side characters that are so interesting with how they relate to the Murphys
I really loved F is for Family because I know my parents were raised in a similar manner during the 70s. While I don’t always see eye to eye with my family, it’s gratifying to know that no family is perfect and we should learn from one another despite generational differences.
I actually realy liked how disconeected the season 3 final was. Realy showed how much Bill went under the radar of his family and basicly got neglected by them. Might not be perfect from a "technical" point of view, but I think it was intentional and worked well
I really wish they made more seasons, I've enjoyed the show from the beginning, but the past 2 seasons (in my opinion) were fantastic, and the show was really meeting it's potential and I just don't want it to end so soon after it got really really good I hope in future videos you talk about Rosie and Pogo
When I woke up this morning and binged the entirety of season five I immediately went on UA-cam looking for a Johnny 2 Cellos video talking about any other aspect of the show. By the end of my workday I had been rewarded
I was tearing up, man I'll miss this show. The character development throughout the series was amazing. You can even notice Bill's attitude change in the intro.
Wait, the series is finished!?!? I loved the show but I personally wasn't satisfied with the final epsodes. I remember telling myself "well time to wait another year"
@@Johnny2Cellos Personally I felt the box 16 thing could’ve been done better. I don’t think Frank was trying to learn life advice from his father, I thought he was trying to get closure on their relationship as they had just started to somewhat bond at the end of the last season. His fathers last words were about his funeral song? Just an awful way to wrap up their relationship, could’ve been something much more heartwarming.
I'm not satisfied with 8 being the last episode I really feel like Kevin was going to get his girlfriend prego with one of thos poke hole condoms and the call at the end was the father of his girlfriend or her saying she prego and I felt like the little black girl and Bill would have a story togeather like a none abusive girl friend
I’m so glad you’re talking about this series! I think a big reason why a lot of people don’t talk about it is b/c it makes a lot of folks uncomfortable. I know that when I first saw it I kinda had to bear through the parts where Bill was just angry and abusive. I’m so glad I stuck through it, though! You’re spot on about it having heart
A truly underrated show, I feel like you summed up everything perfectly. Especially when you talked about how the last scene of the show tied into the first scene. It was a beautiful full circle moment, and I didn’t realize it until you brought it up. Looking forward to seeing the analysis on each character!
Just finished the series finale. When the phone rang I was like 'Just pick it up and hang it back up, Frank' But he did one better by taking it off the hook (been so long since I've dealt with those old phones I actually forgot about taking it off the hook lol) I'm so proud of how Frank has grown as a character. I really think he kept his promise to Sue, that he's not gonna screw up with Megan the way he has with Kevin, Bill and Maureen.
I couldn't agree more. The end of the series felt so triumphant. When he finally blew off the job that was always blowing him off and told his family that dinner with them was important, it made me feel proud of Frank. I look forward to more F is For Family content. My favorite character is Maureen. She's so chaotic!
F is for Family has been a favorite of mine and I think the way they ended the series is beautiful. Both Bojack Horseman and F is for Family were shows that really dug in to the grit of life with a good combination of wdf, funny, and heartful moments. Would love to see character videos for the characters. I especially want to see you cover Vic, that man has lots of talking points. Same with Goomer.
Johnny's analysis of cartoons is always really good. Im two episodes away from the finale and am enjoying it. Holy cow Goomer and his wife just keep proving to be creepier and creepier
Oh dang I didn’t expect Johnny to be covering F is For Family, can’t wait to hear y’all talk about it on Cartoons that Curse! Also I love how season 5’s conflict with Frank trying to find meaning in life through his fathers last words, reminds me of Bojack Horseman episode, Free Churro and the ICU tangent he goes on during Bea’s Eulogy
This is a wonderful show. It season doesn't tie everything into a perfect happy ending, but shows how life goes on and everything will be ok. It was nice seeing the healthiest version of the cast after seeing how dysfunctional the whole neighborhood was for practically the whole show
Dammit Johnny, now I have another show I have to watch. But seriously, this was great and I can't wait to see more. You had me sold on the show in the first half of the episode.
honestly i love this show so much!! i do really recommend if you’re up for a family show that you can’t watch with the family , you’ve found it!! i think it’s so funny and it actually made me laugh. i know you didn’t ask for my opinion but i just wanted to say that i’ve watched it since the beginning of season 1 and it always makes me so happy when another season drops, it reminds me of the show for the first time in a year. the jokes are definitely crude but if that’s for you, it’s for you. i’m also a massive johnny 2 cellos fan since the bojack videos and i find it super cool that he’s finally making videos on another one of my favourites shows!!!
It's great! It's got something for everyone. I had to stick it out for a little bit, Frank makes me feel tense sometimes, but I was glad I kept watching! Frank's not one of those elastic TV dads who snaps right back to being his same problematic self. He lives, he learns, he screws up and tries to make it right. It's a dang good show.
So happy to see such a well made and relatable show get some attention and analysis. There are so many cringy, near pointless, unfunny adult shows streaming now. But when I watched this show I felt not just joy and laughter, but a whole range of feelings.
ALSO I loved hearing my parents perspective on this show. My parents would have been a little younger than the Murphy children but their perspective on how this era was in regards to family and social standards is so interesting compared to the show, and I think that's where a lot of its appeal comes from
My only issue with this show is thats its over, this is definitely my go to comfort show and I think it could have expanded on things more, but honestly I can't deny that the last episode ended beautifully.
Would love for adult swim to pick up F is for family just like they bought tuca and Bertie they should do the same for f is for family the show fits perfectly for adult swim
@@Johnny2Cellos Mike Price wanted the series to go on. Netflix told him it was the last season and they had to wrap it up. He talked about it on his twitter.
Anyone thought Frank just wanted his dads approval? Think about it he named his kid after him, if you really hated your parent you wouldn’t name your kid it would you? Unless he felt he had too but I don’t think Frank would be like that.
I think in the 4th season when the father is introduced big bill is touched that frank named a child after him. But frank tells him that it was Sue turn to pick a name .
Season 5 was unsatisfying because we only got 8 episodes. I would have loved to see Bill rekindle his relationship with Bridget. There is a lot of stories about the Murphy children I hope will be explored. Maybe if Netflix made a F is for family special set in the mid 80's we can see Kevin, Bill and Maureen as young adults. Great video by the way...
I loved the whole background thing with Smokey, poking holes due to the holes in his Heart due to Larry being an Albino and given up. As well as the little details when it comes to the show, like the Firemen knowing the Murphy's phone number, Vick having an Addictive personality causing him to become obsessed with anything and everything he gets into, and how Win Win becomes a Crazy Bitch in Prison. Looking forward to your other Videos on the cast, need it.
Nobody is talking about how important the end of Kevin’s story arc was. In a way it’s just the beginning. Him and Alice use one of the broken condoms. The scene right after where her father kicks him out, is very reminiscent of Sue’s father’s opinion of Frank. With the hint in there that she might get pregnant, the show ends with Frank’s cycle starting all over again, this time with Kevin at the front of it. There’s a reason they essentially made that the final scene of the show.
@@canover6730 He missed but it doesn’t mean it’s the last time he’ll see Alice again. Her dad and brother hates Kevin similarly to how Sue’s father and brother hated Frank so the cycle continues with Kevin but it probably won’t be as bad as it was with Frank since he’s trying to be a better father than Big Bill ever was.
Thanks for talking about this show. I feel like it’s criminally unknown in the cartoon community. It helped me cope with my family since my dad is a lot like Frank and my mom is a lot like Sue (which makes sense cuz they grew up during those times). I would love to see a video about Sue, Rosie, and maybe Kevin? I don’t know if you could get a lot of material out of Kevin but he’s my favorite character :) OH! And maybe one on Nguyen Nguyen since I don’t see a lot of people talk about her Great show. I was worried about it being able to have a proper finale and I was glad it got to.
At first, I was like “how could they end the show like that? It has to continue!” But after thinking more about it, I realized that that was a very fitting ending to Frank’s arc and how his family is improving and we can assume that they all can grow to be better too
i love each of the neighbors in this series (goomer, vic, Bonfiglio's)!! even though id say these characters provided some of the best laughs, they had comedic but visible depth towards the murphy's and their own progressions. id love to see your take on this!
This is a show I did NOT expect to love, but now I’m ultimately obsessed with it. It’s like Bojack Horseman, but if Bojack actually learned his lessons and reached some sort of positive growth after all he’d been through.
What I liked about that final scene is that it showed that Frank had finally changed for good. Throughout the series, Frank would go trough phases were he was happy and doing better, but as soon as something bad happened, he would fly off the handle and go back to his old ways. This final scene shows that he's learned to stick with his changes, instead of going into a rage, he hangs up the phone and focuses on his family. I'm so glad we got to see this permanent change in Frank
F is for Family is my favorite series of the Adult Netflix shows. It was a wholesome show with a family dynamic that was perfect. And for the first time in a long time, like King of the Hill before it, we got a father that wasn't stupid for jokes sake, Frank is a human being and like any human he isn't perfect. Hell look at Vick's story. That was some character development.
I haven’t even watched the video yet and I’m so thankful for it. This show is so criminally underrated, and while it has its flaws it deserves so much more appreciation for its absolutely fantastic writing. In terms of realistically portrayed intergenerational trauma and family disfunction, I’d place it right around the likes of Bojack Horsemen, Moral Orel, and The Venture Bros.
So glad to see you talking about F Is For Family. It’s one of my favorite shows and doesn’t get the attention it deserves. I would like to point out however that Michael Price has confirmed multiple times that Vic Jr. is not Kevin’s son. He is 100% Vic’s.
I was really sad that it ended. But I also kinda love that the whole thing is just a year in this family’s life, and a year in the 1970s as a whole. This show was hilarious but it also had a great coming of age vibe. I hope Bill gets to make more stuff like this.
Before I watch the video, I wanted to say I'm glad someone made a video on the Finale I feel like I'm the only one who kept up with this show and it felt nice to watch all the way through I'll ALSO say that it felt a bit abrupt. Didn't really have that "finale" conclusion feeling that gives me the warm feeling. It was a nice end to a story arc, however. I was in the middle on it but it didn't do anything wrong, so I'm alright with it.
The final scene was great, the finale itself left me hoping there’d be more. Probably cuss I didn’t look at the episode list ahead of time and still thought it was gonna be 10 episodes long like the last couple of seasons. Some aspects seemed a little rush. Like I think Sue’s brother both times was a little too quick to forgive her, and as u said, they did stuff with Maureen but her arc seemed incomplete. But as far as getting to that ending scene, I think all 5 seasons made it feel earned. I loved this show since season one and bummed to see it end. But I guess I rather see it end with me wanting more as opposed to it going on and on and me wanting it fo stop.
The theory of Kevin being Vick’s baby’s real father was the FIRST thing I thought when I saw Vick holding a baby. I don’t think it really is Kevin’s but it’s a fun theory!
I absolutely LOVE F is for Family. It reminds me of when I was a child. I would have been around Maureen's age. I remember getting our very first answering machine. It was huge, with double cassette. 😂 I'm glad I grew up in the 70's and 80's. Thanks for the fun video! I look forward to the in depth character videos. God Bless You. 🥰😎🙏
The characters felt real. Which out of any family show is actually rare. There wasn't drama for the sake of it. It was life crashing hard on the people in F is for Family which helps really drive. Of course the jokes and comedic timings help.
This has been one of my favorite shows in a long time. I like that even though Sue and especially Frank, get so preoccupied or angry that it affects the kids, they still care about them and love them. Frank didn’t know how to handle each of his children, and at first discouraged their behavior. But as time went on he grew, and started accepting how they were. A lot of adult cartoons with a stubborn angry father take the route of having him be a complete asshole to his family for comedic purpose, (family guy, modern simpsons, American dad) but Frank has genuine love for his wife and children, even if he sometimes doesn’t know how to show it. When he fucks up he feels regret and does what he can to make it right. He realizes that he can’t let the way his father treated him growing up be how he treats his own family. He’s a man that isn’t the best at showing his emotions, but he tries to do better.
I remember a few years ago glancing and seeing the title but never gave it any thought. Fast forward to a week ago, not even sure why or how I started watching it and immediately fell in love with it and binge watched all 5 seasons. Now am telling all my friends about it.
I've worked in the animation department of this show for 2 seasons and a half and I have my own mixed feelings about the show, but I'm glad to find that people liked it and that it resonated with all the people in the comments. Thank you for this!
“Kevin gleans some great advice from this conversation (with his father) .... (Frank) realizes he can’t find meaning through his fathers experiences” I know it’s not exactly the same, but those two statements so close to each other seemed pretty funny to me
Can't wait for more videos on this show! I dont know if it's just me but I almost felt that f is for family is the spiritual successor to king of the hill as an adult animation that deals with family themes while also delivering a personal snapshot of the cultural setting of the creators background.
F is for Family is absolutely one of my fave animated shows. It elicits such real emotions. A father who is not always great, struggles with anger, but genuinely loves and tries for his family. There's a wonderful sense of growth, whilst still maintaining that life is trial and error, and there will be slip-ups.
looking at season 1 I see it as raw, It doesn't have as much spunk as the later seasons but it's a good way to convey just what exactly family life was back in the 70s. Dads were angry, housewives were underappreciated, these are things of the time and I believe that first seasons illustrates that beautifully in the first season.

@@darkman764 I am
I wish netflix didn't cancel Bojack Horseman
@Spin the block because it was just a show about a guy being depressed over and over again. Who wants to just be sad watching a show?
well i mean i wouldnt say that frank doesnt tell his sons to not be "soft" bc he legit told bill several times smth along the lines of "were murphy men and we shove down our feelings" after bill would try to open up to him abt seeing a dude fucking explode. i think that while its rare that they get along, its easier for frank to talk to kevin about feelings because they're so similar and they express their feelings with anger a lot of the time like when kevin yelled at alice out of nowhere.
@@moneygrabber6720 Says a lot about you if youre sad the whole time while watching Bojack Horseman
F is for Family had a rough start, but honestly it grew to be one of the best shows on Netflix. I hope anyone who can, gives it a try. I also love how the resolution of Season 1 mirrors the resolution of season 5. It had a great run, and despite it being over, I'm glad I caught it.
I would love if you also made a deep dive into Vic's character Arc
The last 3 seasons really showed an interesting side of him. I especially love how ready and unregretful he was raising his baby the final season
I love how there’s always stuff in the background that calls back to previous things, characters walking around and things you can blink and you’ll miss. Like seeing Smokey’s albino son (and also literally the Jeffery dahmer thing)
wait what jeffery dahmer thing?
@@chloechilders6392 There is a character in the show named Jeffrey Dahmer. He's that annoying blond kid with tinted glasses that insults the Murphys occasionally. His dad is Officer Dahmer. He's not the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, but his name and appearance are based on him.
Or how Jimmy Fitzsimmons became a popular fake name in that city
@@chloechilders6392 Y’know that blonde kid in the glasses always harassing the family? He’s alluded to be Jeffery dahmer
One of my friends worked on this as a cleanup artist! It was thrilling seeing her name in the credits! It's one of her first big projects!
Dope
Might not be perfect from a "technical" point of view, but I think it was intentional and worked well
The season 3 finale is my favorite, even though the season itself wasn’t
Frank and Kevins conversation at the bowling alley might be my favorite scene in the series
I really wish they made more seasons, I've enjoyed the show from the beginning, but the past 2 seasons (in my opinion) were fantastic, and the show was really meeting it's potential and I just don't want it to end so soon after it got really really good
I hope in future videos you talk about Rosie and Pogo
Too many people died.
Maybe they could've replaced the voice acting but idk. Maybe it's for the best. Ending on a high note and such.
I remember telling myself "well time to wait another year"
It’s literally a perfect bookend, 1st scene parallels last scene
I had the same feeling, sad it will never continue
@@Johnny2Cellos Personally I felt the box 16 thing could’ve been done better. I don’t think Frank was trying to learn life advice from his father, I thought he was trying to get closure on their relationship as they had just started to somewhat bond at the end of the last season. His fathers last words were about his funeral song? Just an awful way to wrap up their relationship, could’ve been something much more heartwarming.
I'm not satisfied with 8 being the last episode I really feel like Kevin was going to get his girlfriend prego with one of thos poke hole condoms and the call at the end was the father of his girlfriend or her saying she prego and I felt like the little black girl and Bill would have a story togeather like a none abusive girl friend
just think they could have pumped out 1 or 2 more seasons
When the phone rang I was like 'Just pick it up and hang it back up, Frank' But he did one better by taking it off the hook (been so long since I've dealt with those old phones I actually forgot about taking it off the hook lol)
I'm so proud of how Frank has grown as a character.
It's so nice seeing people talk about this show
I loved the parallel to the first episode vs last scene.ugh ♡
You know what that is?
Growth
F is for Family has been a favorite of mine and I think the way they ended the series is beautiful. Both Bojack Horseman and F is for Family were shows that really dug in to the grit of life with a good combination of wdf, funny, and heartful moments. Would love to see character videos for the characters. I especially want to see you cover Vic, that man has lots of talking points. Same with Goomer.
Anything more on this series is always welcome. Fantastic show and a spot on analysis!
Please do more content about this show! I love your analysis and this show deserves more attention.
It was nice seeing the healthiest version of the cast after seeing how dysfunctional the whole neighborhood was for practically the whole show
I didn't know this was the finale, now I'm really sad

I was just telling people how fantastic this final season was! I’m happy they took their time with it it definitely shows
So happy to see such a well made and relatable show get some attention and analysis. There are so many cringy, near pointless, unfunny adult shows streaming now. But when I watched this show I felt not just joy and laughter, but a whole range of feelings.
Very excited to hear more content from this show is coming! It’ll help fill the space since the show is over now
I love the ending to Kevin implying he made the same mistakes of his dad, he "missed" with the one its implied
What a great observation omg 😂😂
"My name is Jimmy Fitzsimmons" was my favourite gag
ALSO I loved hearing my parents perspective on this show. My parents would have been a little younger than the Murphy children but their perspective on how this era was in regards to family and social standards is so interesting compared to the show, and I think that's where a lot of its appeal comes from
This show was so well done. I would love to see more.
My only issue with this show is thats its over, this is definitely my go to comfort show and I think it could have expanded on things more, but honestly I can't deny that the last episode ended beautifully.
Just that ending was so perfect. It truly gave me joy this holiday season
For me, this show improved every season. It is nice that it could develop into what it became and finished on its own terms.
Would love for adult swim to pick up F is for family just like they bought tuca and Bertie they should do the same for f is for family the show fits perfectly for adult swim
I don’t think they have any intention of making more, they were able to tell a complete story
@@Arcenia_18 even so if true you have to agree and if my partner said name my kid after my dad I wouldn’t allow it
@@ge0rgialiv I do. Especially if I had a shitty dad like Bill lol

F is for family is one of my favorite shows and I would love for you to do a deep dive into the characters. 😍😁 That final season felt complete
Unlike BoJack's last season. That last season felt extremely rushed. It feels like two seasons mashed together.
Honestly I really liked it, and even tho I prefer happy endings I get that there going for something more open ended and realistic
I had a feeling the kid was Kevin's when Vick's girl was pregnant
Ditto
Most of people missed that part. Kevin says he scared and messed jizz(sperm) after he fall from window.
And maybe one on Nguyen Nguyen since I don’t see a lot of people talk about her
Great show.
I dig how you analyze good shows that are gems but not mainstream. I have binged on each season ever since this show came out.
“You know you fine. If I were a biscuit and you were gravy, I’d sop ya” was a legendary line from season 5 😂
I’m so happy you’re finally doing a video on this show!
I was surprised how truly sad I was when the show ended.
I have loved this show for so long. It's nice to finally hear someone talk about it.
I found the show by accident and fell in LOVE with it. I'm not a fan of Bill Burrs comedy but he killed it in this show
I was really sad that it ended. But I also kinda love that the whole thing is just a year in this family’s life, and a year in the 1970s as a whole. This show was hilarious but it also had a great coming of age vibe. I hope Bill gets to make more stuff like this.
Saw this video in my recommended, clicked on it out of curiosity despite having never watched F is for Family.
Gunna binge it now, thanks a bunch 👍
Before I watch the video, I wanted to say I'm glad someone made a video on the Finale
I feel like I'm the only one who kept up with this show and it felt nice to watch all the way through
I'll ALSO say that it felt a bit abrupt. Didn't really have that "finale" conclusion feeling that gives me the warm feeling.
It was a nice end to a story arc, however.
I was in the middle on it but it didn't do anything wrong, so I'm alright with it.
Thank you so much for making this video! I have no idea how long I’ve waited for this!
I love this show, kinda struggled with the Franks Dad storyline.. but the show pulled through
The final scene was great, the finale itself left me hoping there’d be more.
In my opinion, I rank F is for family along with King Of The Hill. It’s so perfect.
I don’t have a Netflix sub anymore and didn’t realize this dropped! I love F is for Family, so excited to watch this season.
I've worked in the animation department of this show for 2 seasons and a half and I have my own mixed feelings about the show, but I'm glad to find that people liked it and that it resonated with all the people in the comments. Thank you for this!
The chet arc was one of the first times I realized the writing on this show was actually something special. It gave me chills multiple times
“Kevin gleans some great advice from this conversation (with his father) .... (Frank) realizes he can’t find meaning through his fathers experiences” I know it’s not exactly the same, but those two statements so close to each other seemed pretty funny to me
Cried three times during this video you really captured the heart of the last season/ show in general
cannot WAIT for your future videos on this show, especially sue !!
Can't wait for more videos on this show! I dont know if it's just me but I almost felt that f is for family is the spiritual successor to king of the hill as an adult animation that deals with family themes while also delivering a personal snapshot of the cultural setting of the creators background.
Definitely needs to see more about this show. It is honestly amazing at achieving what it set out achieve and it's not being talk about nearly enough
I literally just came here after finally binging the series. Wish I hadn't slept on it. Holy shit, this deserves so many more seasons!
