In South Africa, its available on Take Alot and Yuppiechef
You can cook dried beans on a low heat until soft. A slow cooker will also work. Or you can use canned beans. I don’t know if you can get sugar beans in the UK but borlotti beans will also work well.

This is not a Durban curry, this is a Cape Malay Sugar Bean Bredie. Cape Malay culture have sugar with most dishes and nothing wrong with that . Those aunties and uncles live longer then most peeps today. Don't watch if this is not your channel. #justsaying
