last night i tried to watch a video on my ipad, which is my only device without adblock installed, and the FIRST ad was a fearmongering, misinformation-ridden, transphobic political ad... this platform is literally unusable without adblock if you value your sanity 💀
Omg yes. The freaking comic sites and erp games that CONSTANTLY show up in my ads no matter how many times I report or change my preferences. The bots and those gross ads have shown up on kid shows even. Like I was watching adventure time or powerpuff girls or something and it switched to UA-cam kids and I STILL got those ERP games. Or those channels that upload other shows in the several hour long videos of the same shows are just bombarded with the Mr beast bots. I swear it’s like UA-cam is intentionally trying to gr**m kids. There’s no reason for s*xu*lly explicit ads to get through on the kids side of it at the very least. I’m also a survivor of this time of ab*se and I’d rather not have it constantly shoved down my throat when I’m trying to enjoy some cartoons, or watch smosh, or listen to my commentary faves.
nearly everyday i see this one “draw to remove” ad that is just several photos of women in hijabs having their chests exposed by the app. it’s disgusting
Even if reporting isn't enough, DO NOT interact with bots. Don't reply to them, don't @ them, & beware their sketchy links. And the PAID ADS in banners & video playing before, during, & after videos (pre-roll/mid-roll) - "vetted" by Alphabet Inc., Google claims. So is that "vetting" how the same clip of fake game footage is actually from 3 different games _and_ an upcoming WB series _and_ several new & "classic" anime series? And all on dodgy webhosts & sketchy versions of real ones? And why even seemingly normal ads for the new season of a Netfux series or a soon-to-release blockbuster movie [with the dried-out IP] or even big-brand paper towels linked to sketchy urls? I like the ones that end abruptly, clearly cutting into a proper clip cos scammers couldn't be arsed. But suuure, "vetted" MY FOOT! Also not a fan of the "in the field" testing being done on viewers, pushing maximum ad tolerance. It's already gauche, like getting FOUR ads in a row (or even the usual 2, then a split-second back to the video, then JOSHIN' YA! ANOTHER AD!). Extra classy while advertising for UA-cam Premium. We get it, ads could be gone, and for only 5x the price it was before the ad testing, just a bit _more_ than Netfux?! (The one with the commercial films and series, and at least some unions!) P.S. UA-camrs, create a union! o/
I won't be shocked it's also another one of those languages UA-cam drops the ball on with their moderation algorithm (seems like there is certain languages it has more difficulty with)
reminder: you are not the FBI. even if you had no genuine intentions of "enjoying" cp, the mere act of searching for or trying to find it IS A CRIME. do NOT interact with the bots or try to ""uncover a rabbit hole""
THIS NEEDS TO BE A TOP COMMENT! viewing a CP video will permanently stay on your digital footprint, even if you remove it from your watch history, or delete the account you watched it on. It will stay!
something similar happened on instagram several years ago and they wiped it off their entire website like same day it was posted because people got wind and told them. it fucking sucks youtube isn’t doing anything about this, but that should tell you that seeking out the videos to report is also not gonna do anything except traumatize you and potentially get you in trouble.
I have a weird question, what happens if I do interact with them? Do I get on a watchlist? Does it give me a virus? Do they target my videos with those comments? Like what happens lol This is like some weird ass Scooby Doo mystery....involving cp 💀 Nah but actually pls respond 🙏 Thank you bro
@@DroopCoop it can affect hiring processes, like if an employer or something checks your footprint and on it, it shows your watch history and everything you've done on the internet. From what I know, those kinds of comments won't target you, nor will you get a virus. I'm not totally sure about the watchlist thing though.
Or they cover a topic that’s actually important like war, genocide, covid, etc; & they’re fcked. Like even talking about serious topics like rpe has just spawned new words like grape and everyone between 10 & 55 knows what you mean. Like even ppl who want to transvestigate or spread some batsht q!anon sht just change their language, but everyone knows what they’re talking about. And the reason why this problem exists is the exact same reason a lot of other problems exist, YT doesn’t want to spend the $ on actual human moderaters. And those ppl need to be paid incredibly well bc i remember the stories about human moderaters literally developing PTSD from the sht they saw. They also need expensive healthcare bc they almost all end up needing long term therapy. It’s an incredibly fcked up situation but making the entire thing be handled by algos hasn’t solved the actual problem. But platforms like YT get to pretend they’ve done something so advertisers feel safe. Again it’s capitalism that’s the root of the problem.
In another contente creator's comment section, I was warning people not to interact with the bot and to R e p o rt it instead. My comments were deleted, but the bot comments were left.
the translation they're gonna get is DON'T DO YOUR FUCKING JOB. SO WHAT IF THIS IS FUCKING DISGUSTING AND SICKENING? YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON BLOCKING THOSE AD BLOCKERS INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY CLEANING UP YOUR PLATFORM man. why is youtube like this. :(
I've noticed that the bots are often the earliest comments on a video. I mean, within seconds of a video going up. Is youtube actually behind the bots to make it look like a new video is trending?? Remember, they're a soulless corporation owned by google that exists to make money. I don't think they're above bad behavior.
It's tricky, as the CP isn't on UA-cam per se but rather offsite (e.g. in Discord groups). But these fake bot accounts contain links in their bios to such locations. No, one of the issues on UA-cam/Google is that there are no controls over creating accounts. Facebook has an even bigger problem with this. And of course, those sites are disincentivized from making the creation of accounts harder to do.
It's not on UA-cam and you know it why be disingenuous and not be honest?be And the government don't care one bit! Are you really that ignorant and blind?!?!?! give the government power and the abuse it, I'd rather not give them even more power to use and abuse, they would DESTROY UA-cam AND YOU KNOW IT what is it with you weirdo's and giving the government even more power to ruin what we love!!?!?!??!?!!!
BTW the language 5:24 is Zulu from south africa. I've never imagined that I'd read something like that in our language. It's honestly so disgusting and horrifying. This world is honestly going through the most tbh
I was going to say that it also sucks for people who speak Zulu because that is probably one of very few Zulu comments on most videos; i cant imagine how i would feel seeing my language be used that way. Its so horrible :(
This is also common on Tik tok! Because you can’t put a face to an African languages like Zulu. It’s so scary! (Edited) As a native Zulu and a person who translates English documents to Zulu for a living, the lack of punctuations and the last phrase sounding so unnatural makes me believe that they too used google translate to write this horrible text in Zulu! Yoh! I’m angry that my mother tongue is used for such evil!
I can't help but think that it's not coincidence that they're leaving these horrific comments in an African language. Putting the words in the mouths of Black people lets them share horrific content and promote racist stereotypes at the same time.
I refuse to believe that UA-cam Studio, which can recognize a ten-second snippet of a song, is incapable of also recognizing and flagging CP in a timely manner before allowing it to go public. They just don't consider it a priority because fighting CP doesn't make them money.
I agree that absolutely there MUST be a team dedicated to removing/preventing these comments immediately. however, they recognize copyrighted music because its being compared to a database that contains the music. they would have to store the CP for comparison to flag it like music which obviously isn't possible lol
@@banquetoftheleviathan1404 Nah. F that. It should take down ANY videos with little kids. They have no business on the app regardless of the reason, and they are ALWAYS used nefariously by creeps, no matter how innocent. It is pure foolishness to expose a minor to strangers. Have you not heard about the deepfakes featuring underage kids/influencers? They are not old enough to deal with the trauma something like that causes. Other social media moderation teams have an ai flagging system, so the ones who do not are inexcusable. Reminder that UA-cam fired their entire moderation team - so them training the AI is imperative.
I kid you not, some guy was calling me slurs because I am autistic and have adhd, so I called him out caliing him "an edgy 13 year old" and my comment was removed INSTANTLY, yet this guys comments calling me multiple slurs is perfectly fine and is still up. It's like UA-cam actively supports bigotry dude
and it's not like that it didn't register my reply for some reason, I wrote the same comment twice with different wording and both times it was removed immediately
it's really a shame that some people also don't consider the r slur to be an actual slur. when i tell people to stop saying it they act like i'm being a baby.
YES!!! Fantastic idea!! Let's use AI in a helpful way that will enrich our community!!! I'd love to see AI being put to *actual* good use, instead of stealing and mining data for companies that don't need the money!! I hope UA-cam reads this comment section.
for once an actual good use for replacing a human job with ai because humans having to screen through those types of comments can be emotionally scarring. but will google do anything about it? probably not 😑
I hate that we can't even block these accounts. It's crazy UA-cam removed showing dislikes to protect creators' feelings, yet there's still no simple block feature that can do so much for our sanity.
I thought there was a block feature? Last time i checked was like three years ago, but it was a thing. It only stops users from commenting on a persons channel though, Don't think it blocks them across the platform.
It doesnt block the person, you can still see their comment in other comment sections, plus, you can avoid having someone interacting with your channel ONLY if you have a creator account
I just reported two violent and child endangerment comments from your comment section. This video has only been up for a minute. I hope there is change from UA-cam ASAP.
it’s crazy how if you slightly insult someone you won’t be able to comment for a day, but these nasty ass bot comments get allowed 😭😭 (like i remember telling this racist to stfu and i couldn’t comment for a day.. because it was “bullying”.)
@@cyerkhilarious how they’ll put you on cyber bully bans if you slightly insult but people can have their channel names as straight up racial slurs and it’s always the N word. Never fails
@@cyerk Same here. My claim was due to"harassment", when the person I was "harassing" was calling women murderers for getting abortions. Like, UA-cam is on crack.
@cyerk No kidding. I mentioned how a shirts leave was too clean, and it was deleted for misinformation or conspiracy theory or some other stupid ironic reason.
The worst part is you can no longer block people at ALL. The block feature was REMOVED! Truthfully, the content creators are the only reason why I am still on this hellsite.
@AVesselOfFlesh Yeah I tried to block a channel that was impersonating a larger creator and I searched for almost 20 minutes trying to find a way and the best I could do was “don’t recommend this channel”
a block button is a requirement for all social media platforms, especially ones on the app store and google play store. twitter got told off for trying to remove the block button, why can yt get away with it?
I remember when JacksepticEye's father passed away, and he discussed in a video, and as soon as he posted the next video, there were dozens of bots comments talking about how his father was r*tting in h*ll or other graphic disturbing stuff like that, and it was so... soul crushing... what a horrible thing to see at your own video, making you re-live your grief all over again...
And it wasn't just SeptocEye they targeted! They were a giant wave that swept over the site for at least a year. Those bots appeared over and over again, always screaming in all caps with so many personal variations of "[UA-camr]'s [dead friend/family member] is in hell experiencing [insert horrible, short and graphic torture here, usually involving SA]." Like they had to be diving into each YTber's personal stories in order to set up these horrific bots. But one of the worse I saw was one of these on the channel of a creator who was black - there was no attack on his dead family or any horrific SA threats to his partner or sick friends, but instead they were just racist in the most visceral way. Something about jungle homes and the word "monkey", I don't remember the whole spiel now I just remember how disgusted and enraged I was as I tried to report the stupid things (there were multiple all screaming the same thing under his funny video).
What's so annoying is that THIS is a good example of AI having a role to play. It could be a an auto-mod, automatically translating the comments to check them, keeping a running stockpile of known spam messages and variations, checking the age of profiles to see if they were created recently or have links to spam sites, doing "are you human" checks of other activity on the site, checking edits... ... rather than leaving it to individual creators to do all of this themselves.
Especially since being a content moderator on social media is known to be one of the most traumatic jobs just because of how much awful content needs to be sifted through. Obviously humans still need to be involved to some extent to ensure the AI doesn’t go off the rails or miss things, but genuinely using AI in this way would save so many people’s mental health.
That's exactly what I was just thinking! This is a perfect example of where ai would be really useful, since unlike humans it cannot be traumatized by reading vile stuff all day and can go much faster and be more reactive.
They have no issues blocking my comment agreeing with you though. The robot are mad at me because I left comments in pro p videos in support. But they don't moderate this nonsense. Make it stop.
But UA-cam can't make tons of money off of selling the data from that!!!!! They can make tons of money off of the data they get from trying to organize comments by topic!
UA-cam should be held liable for hosting child pornography. Maybe these platforms would actually allocate money into effective moderation if they were made to suffer any kind of consequence for their negligence
Given that UA-cam isn't doing anything about it, next time you come across a CP channel, tell the FBI. Seriously. Even if the bot is from another country, Google is an American company and should be held accountable.
Dude, it sucks that I’ve had to do that several times in the past few years, and it’s not even from UA-cam. Certain GAMES I play even will get people spamming CP links in the text chat, and I literally link their account to the FBI tips site. Of course though, the FBI couldn’t give a fuck either. Just look at this recent shooting lmao.
@@BobbyBasketball19999 Even if you think the FBI might not do anything about it, it can never hurt to report and there is a chance that it WILL be used as evidence for the FBI for investigation. Also there is a specific unit within the FBI specifically for CP and trafficking, so you shouldn't assume that the FBI will do nothing here just because it didn't act in a different kind of situation.
@@fligglebobbin Exactly. Even if I’m pretty pessimistic on it, I definitely did still report those guys every time I saw it. Thankfully it’s been a long time since I last saw it in that game at least tho.
An entity doesn’t have to be the publisher of CSAM to still be held accountable. It would have to be proven that YT / Google had been made aware of the issue or knew of the events and failed to act in a timely manner. If that’s proven, IMO, they’re at minimum, hosting CSAM. Depending on jurisdiction, that can be a party-to-the-offense issue or, if the evidence is compelling enough, conspiracy to distribute. *just my thoughts*
Thank you for addressing this. It’s been insanity. I’ve seen so many gross bot comments, and as much as I do not interact and only report, nothing ever seems to happen.
@@doktorhabilitowanystanczykidk if the same thing OP is talking about, but for a while all the book review channels I watch the ads would be aggressively anti-trans and intentionally selected for those shows/vids because I didn’t see those ads on the random goofy/art vids I watch. Insta has (or did) a way to mark an advertiser as not relevant/offensive and at least semi block them. I reported those anti-trans ads every time for misinformation (it was disinformation technically, but close enough) and still saw them for weeks. It literally encourages hate crimes
i would really try find an adblocker that works for you if you know it’ll be a trigger, there are also chrome extensions (or if you’re a bit techier, browsers like Arc where you can customise the layout of specific websites) that turn off comments for example - as annoying as it is to not be able to access a pretty key part of yt, your mental health is Way more important
youtube banned me from commenting for 2 days after i got mass reported by taylor swift fans for agreeing with a commentary channel that i don’t like the last taylor swift album. But cp is okay
Here's your extra credit for today: go find the most distasteful comment you can find in any comment section anywhere on the platform, make sure that the CHANNEL name is not visible if at all possible, and watch that video until you get an ad. Then screenshot that ad next to the worst comment you've seen in your life, and then ask the company on Twitter (or wherever) why they're advertising next to comments like that. Make "this company advertises next to bot comments about doing these things up children" viral, that's what the company advertises on. Not the channel, they want their name next to comments about &@#$ing children. They are SO concerned with the video content, they had BETTER be concerned with the comments too. That's what I think of them every time the advertise on videos with those comments. They like it. Otherwise they'd be pushing UA-cam to do anything about the problem.
The bots are (I believe) interacting with UA-cam via the standard user interface - that is, someone has created a program that presents itself as a web browser to UA-cam, and creates user accounts, then comments from those accounts, via the same communication methods that your browser or mobile phone uses, when you navigate and post on UA-cam (as opposed to using the UA-cam API to interact with the UA-cam system). If true, what this means is that UA-cam treats those bots exactly as though they were people - they have a 'recommended' feed, which is subject to the standard algorithm. Why does this matter? - well, for one thing, it's a possible explanation as to why some channels get hammered with these bot comments and others seem to get left alone - the bots are probably trying to comment on stuff they are presented in their individual 'recommended' feed - which will tend to be videos that are related in some way, either by theme, or by associations that are audience driven. It's probably also a good reason why interacting with the bots is a bad idea. I don't know if responding to a comment means that one of my videos might get recommended to that person later, but if so, and you do that to a bot...
Can the FBI do anything if the illegal behaviour is not coming from a person within their countries? Like if someone in Nepal spammed comments like these, what could the FBI do?
I mean they prob couldn’t personally do anything about the poster themself if they’re in a different country aside from reporting them to that country’s government, but UA-cam itself is a US based company and can be investigated for allowing it on their platform
@@danielasofia6786 Yes, that's true. But its a shame that the people making these comments may get away with a couple banned accounts and continue their life as if they didn't commit crimes.

Instagram doesn’t have a translate comment issue but it does have a child/animal sexual exploitation material issue. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve reported accounts like that. Edit: spelling error
I have only reported people on tiktok when they're being outright and undeniably racist, homophobic, transphobic, whatever. But not once have they ever done anything about it, not even the 2 comments saying both variations of the f slur, UNCENSORED, nor the account of a literal neo nazi who was ALREADY BANNED IN THE PAST. Major corporations either don't care about this stuff in the slightest (surprise surprise) or outright WANT this kind of stuff to spread. Hell my tiktok account has a pride flag in the username and I get people replying or commenting about it literally daily, and almost always negatively.
Unfun fact: Early this year, I reported a bunch of comments and channels to UA-cam (which included homophobic content and animal exploitation content), and UA-cam penalized *me* by "limiting some of [their] more powerful features" to my channel, so I couldn't pin comments, add external links to video descriptions, embed live streams, or "Get higher daily limits for live streams, Shorts, and video uploads". I'm pretty sure UA-cam just took all the reports as spam (even though the email they sent said it was because I didn't have "sufficient channel history") and I have no idea if anything was done to those channels/comments. (The quotes were from the email they sent me.) To get this restriction removed, I either had to wait, or show them my ID!! Which is insane!! I just waited, and the things listed returned sporadically for about a month, and has been fully back for 4 months. This shit is SO stupid man
they did that to me too about a year ago. i still don't have access to those "advanced features". the difference in my case though is that i genuinely don't know what i did
Wait they did that to me too. I thought that was just some stupid update. You telling me they did that because of the vids I reported where they beat the shit out of an innocent rabbit?
They (Google/Alphabet - the owner of youtube) needs to be antitrust sued to the point of offloading UA-cam. They (Goog/Alph.) also need to do something about the abusive usage (the offensive comment usage) of Translate.

Hope all those people who spammed sexist shit about the previous CEO when she left are happy their godlen boy is fucking up youtube the way only a man can. :)
Yea, like even if they dont show dislikes, if it gets a 1% like to dislike ratio that would work... If there werent bots Bots would abuse that and remove yt landmarks, any comment they dont agree or do agree with etc. Every comment with less than 100k likes would probably be erased
back in the day like till about 15years ago we had something similar to that on youtube. it said something like: this comment has been hidden due to too many dislikes, would you still like to show it?
But then 2:11 would get removed. ITS NOT EVEN A BOT COMMENT!!! Seriously! Matpat is the worst youtuber ever who makes bad ragebait videos!!! Why are you all so blind to see he does little to no research for his videos!!!

Remember y'all: if you (God forbid) come across illegal material, prioritize reporting to the FBI or your country's law enforcement. it probably won't do much, but it is 100% better to be safe than sorry
thank u for the reminder, I have a reminder of my own that I hope you don’t mind my sharing. next time, push away thoughts of “it probably won’t do much” because why buy into this mindset? people feel too comfortable having little to no influence, when we remind each other that we are each other’s influence, and in constantly doing the right thing regardless, we give each other power. it is up to each and every one of us to actively do the right thing, such as upholding the law when others, like youtube, refuse
I mean I have had cops visit me over having an upside down cross on my door or the fbi visit me cuz my ex landlord found a picture of an isis flag. they had to visit me knowing these things are not even illegal. the police usually have to respond even to stupid claims. I think the truth is people are more likely to see it through if it's personal and petty but don't keep that same energy for actual crimes that don't affect them.
Which reminds me. If you want this to stop happening, do a screenshare video showing the adruns to videos, with the unmoderated comment section full of this heinous stuff underneath. Share it directly with the brands that are running ads. Let them know what their brands are being associated with, and how youtube isn't doing anything about it.
Considering some of the brands can be pretty bad themselves (looking at you, BetterHelp), I don't know if that would work. But there may still be enough that could pull back for UA-cam to finally take notice. The usual normal people talking about it doesn't matter to them, because they'll always have users who don't know using UA-cam. But companies that give them money? _That's_ the place to hit. UA-cam doesn't care unless holes are being poke in their pockets.
@UA-cam needs to be reported to the FBI for promoting CP; because at this point, not deleting a reported video or comment that clearly shows CP is @UA-cam saying that content is okay to post, which is @UA-cam promoting CP. Only when UA-cam gets in serious legal trouble will they actually do something about it; it has to hit their wallet or they don't care.
there are laws which basically mean youtube is not responsible for what people post on their platform, and i seriously doubt they would allow that on the platform if they were aware of it, but in reality any policing of the content uploaded to youtube is a courtesy rather than them being forced to take it down (besides it benefits their image if they take down illegal/hateful/adult content) (this is just from my own memory lol it could be different)
I've been saying this exact thing for a while now! If UA-cam isn't doing anything to remove this content, it's because UA-cam is completely okay with it, they're actively allowing it, I bet they're all pedos themselves
@@maladyLshare holders and advertisers would probably be dismayed with this at the very least. @@maladyL I see what you mean, the laws are new and were put in last year. That's a shame. But from what I did read, "These two decisions may convince Congress to take Section 230 on themselves. The debate is unfolding against the backdrop of growing concern from Congress and the Justice Department for the safety of minors online." Hopefully the laws are soon changed for the better.
UA-cam is a public sphere. Just as much as a forum, or a community center, or a coffee shop. This is equivalent to posting physical CP in a public space, or shouting slurs to promote violence. UA-cam, the company, has an obligation to protect this public sphere for the sanctity of itself and the safety of users.
That comparison is beyond wild and WRONG The CP ISN'T ON THIS SITE AT ALL AND YOU KNOW IT God why are you people making me defend this cancerous site?? It's offsite, still scummy but a HUGE difference and completely invalidates your trashy comparison Plus people shout spurs to "promote violence" all he time every day in public and on socials, what is even your point? Make good points if you are gonna make one at all, this beyond suxxxxxx, it's absolutely not like a community centre or coffee shop, last I checked you couldn't blast music or watch people get battered and shot in a coffee shop or community centre on an hourly basis They do have an obligation to tidy their site, but you have an obligation to not be so disingenuous and making ridiculous comments that don't even apply it make much sense at all
As a CSEM Survivor, thank you so much for deciding to speak out about this. UA-cam really need to get its shit together and protect children. Both those in the videos from being retraumatised and the poor, innocent kids who may be traumatised by witnessing CSEM.
They constantly show me ads that are scams with stolen footage or sexualized chat invites, even tho I report all of it. Makes me so mad. Like is Google lying about the tech they have or how they use it?
Because they don't care. Punishing people for silly things like using certain words is easy, and they can point to advertisers and go "see? We're family friendly!" But actually putting in effort to protect kids? Nah, that's too hard.
@anamelessbird yeah that's happened to me before too! I literally don't get it. You get it a bunch on those videos where a person is just at the bottom of the screen and it's a tv show scene. The comments are FULL of racists

A lot of people have talked about this. Namely JackSepticEye, Charlie, Markiplier, etc. Almost each of them have atleast 2 videos on how UA-cam needs to fix this within about 5 years. Hell, Terminal Montage even made an animation on the issue.
It's crazy to me that these bot comments can get past the shadowbanning with words like that, but then us humans have to rewrite our innocuous comments multiple times if they contain some unknown keyword that has been flagged otherwise they just don't get posted with no notice to you.
Funny a Bot is saying this blatantly false statement EVERYONE and their dead gran has talked about this, the Bots are blending in well I see This is a Bot comment people

There's one I've blocked and reported 100+ times over the last TWO YEARS and it's still able to reply to comments from real people on my video. It's insane.
This is happening on tiktok too. There’s terrible content that blatantly goes against their “guidelines” yet every time I report something it’s “no violation” they just don’t care
same on instagram. women & men have FULL parts out. send in a report & they don't find anything wrong. but may the goddesses forbid i post a picture of my sleeved elbow so they can immediately take it down
Yuppp! I've reported so many bot accounts on Insta, sometimes the profile pic is just a nekkid ahh, but Insta is like "no issue here, shut up". I stopped trying. Makes me think they're being paid good $$$ behind the scenes to make this continue.
One of my favorite tik tok creators got their video removed for “sexual content” when she was fully dressed and making a video about healing from mental illness ????? But then they just let vile bots have a field day 👺

@@charlescantin3280the vid paycheck is definitely an incentive, but I've /definitely/ seen the same comments he's shown. His channel (at least from what I've seen) has been safer from it, but for others (like pewdiepie) it's almost impossible to find any comment without another spam one underneath until you're half way through. Maybe I just watch too much yt tho lol so I hope other ppl don't see them as much, but I'm glad a big creator is talking about it directly at least

So yes it’s very real, u might just be viewing heavily moderated comments or u aren’t watching as much UA-cam as I do lol
These types of bots are even more disgusting. They're using child exploitation under a foreign language so people will accidentally see that shit? Man I wish when bots would simply say "hot milfs in your area"
Report these comments, the accounts, the links they post to the FBI. do not internally report. Report to the FCC and FTC and FBI. Please. Report the the FBI before you go to UA-cam. They do not care, the FBI doesn’t take these things as lightly.
This. I think when it's not just spam, but CP as some people say (never met those, thankfully), you need to report directly to authorities. Unless YT has a clear policy for investigating these accounts aside from just banning them as they pop up.
@@hannahboebanna They’ll listen especially when it comes to CP or things of the sort, I’m not sure how to report but I would imagine it’s pretty easy to look up. It’s not only a crime in of itself to film and create such content, but it’s also very illegal to spread and post especially in public spaces ESPECIALLY when children have access to said places.
they removed the block button too😭 the fuck is "hide user from my channel"?? im starting to think youtube genuinely cares more about removing adblockers than the actual problems here.
Wasn't like the BIG thing on UA-cam (before copyright) no nudity or porn? They take action on HISTORIC works like paintings and statues featuring naked people in a non-sexualized way, but CP going unchecked gets to stay up on UA-cam???? This is a disgusting new low.
Hey, just a reminder that cp isn't the term, and literally nobody uses it except actual pedophiles trying to make it seem like children can consent like normal porn and csem is the actual term
I think I have upwards of 200 keyphrases and specific character strings blocked entirely on my channel to keep most of the more overt NSFW stuff at bay, but there is ALWAYS more and they increasingly require closer inspection which is becoming frustrating.

I've reported the same bot at least 50 times. I see the same name on every single video, specifically in commentary UA-cam. Still replies on 15-20 comments on every video. They really do nothing but hide the specific comment from the one that reports them.
I literally saw a bot promoting a CP video in Nick Crowley's video of an Instagram predator a few days ago. Reported it as soon as I saw it. Honestly, UA-cam has hit a new low. Allowing bots to promote porn, CP and violence? I hate YT so much sometimes.
actually abhorrent the comment section is used in that way, especially on that vid considering its subject and all the creepy kid and fetish stuff hes got going on. actually just rubbing salt in the wound
i generally don’t scroll though comment sections unless i’m curious about audience feedback on a topic, but even so i’m (pleasantly) surprised ive never seen horrific comments like that.
D'Angelo, you said you're in contact with numerous other creators about this... I would suggest the group of you going to the mainstream news about this. UA-cam might shape up if a news outlet embarrasses them. At the very least, it will alert more parents to what's going on in the comments sections of the videos their kids are watching, which might lead to advertisers pulling support down the line. This is the only thing I can really think of to force UA-cam to take action...
Maybe the bots that are spewing random names are trying to find your real name. Usually a youtuber has his name blacklisted on their channel to protect their identity, so by spamming random common names they can see which comments get deleted and thus find your first or last name. With this information it gets easier to blackmail or crack your password.
I'm so worried that there’s Actually people trading illegal content hiding behind everyone assuming they’re bots. Just out in the open bc no one assumes they’re real. edit: oh there straight up Is! UA-cam is such a good website

I wanna talk about something somewhat personal related to this. My 8 year old brother had a UA-cam account where he would post stuff about football, his art, and his favorite cartoons. He would show his face on his videos and everything. My parents and I had no idea about his channel but when I found out about it I checked his comments first. Some were just other kids his age commenting, but most of them were bots talking in a different language about harming children. One had videos of small children being harmed, I was so disturbed by it I genuinely cried and panicked. I explained this to my parents and they made him delete his whole account. I’m really worried that these bots might also be targeting young children on UA-cam. I had nightmares about those videos I saw.
That’s horrible! I’m so very sorry your brother had to experience this! Good on you for being there for him and explaining the situation to your parents. There are so many monsters out there 😭
I guess that explains, why "videos intended for kids" are not able to have a comment section on youtube since a few years ago. I know, it wasn't the main reason at the time, and it doesn't actually solve anything... but it does explain it a little.
@@Faefire when youtube began restricting those videos from having comments this bot issue didn't really exist, the bot stuff started happening like a year or two later
The longer I live the more massive the CP problem seems. It seems like a genuinely massive amount of people are depraved enough to be involved. It’s very soul crushing. It’s not something my brain can comprehend either. I’m horrified for the children of our world.
Removing the ability to block is the most clear sign that they're in support of this content, imo, because now a creator can't even block the people spreading bad material from commenting. I can't think of any other reason for that change. But then a UA-camr I watch has a video where now UA-cam has this "this video may be inappropriate" at the start of the video, and age-restricted it. It was a video about crossover ships with, at worse, some swearing. But actual harmful material, stuff a kid may even stumble on, is allowed. UA-cam is actively complicit in this stuff, yet nothing is going to happen to them unless their piggybank took a hit because of this.
I saw that they removed the block button and it made me super paranoid because I've had my stalker blocked for years and now they can find me easy again.

Really disturbing :( I have a young sibling with unsupervised UA-cam access and I always worry what he will come across. And it’s only been getting worse

This is such a huge problem, many schools who use laptops for research don’t have UA-cam accounts and UA-cam ads for non account users are so s*ex filled and it’s all “date Ukrainian women!” With a huge woman with honkers and the fact that s*x toys are allowed to be played in ads in the first place is awful although I feel like advertising s*x toys isn’t bad it is when it’s on a platform this big at any time of day ☹

reportinag doesn't do anything. i reported this same bot everyday and it is still able to make comment
(The one with the commercial films and series, and at least some unions!)

I agree it's crazy
I agree that absolutely there MUST be a team dedicated to removing/preventing these comments immediately. however, they recognize copyrighted music because its being compared to a database that contains the music. they would have to store the CP for comparison to flag it like music which obviously isn't possible lol

They did *WHAT?!*
I saw those, it kept going months after he'd come back from grieving. It's probably still happening now, I doubt every single bot has been reported.
Something about jungle homes and the word "monkey", I don't remember the whole spiel now I just remember how disgusted and enraged I was as I tried to report the stupid things (there were multiple all screaming the same thing under his funny video).
and it was the same bots that told me to "remove" myself back on June 29th.
i did not comply, 2 months later

absolutly deplorable.
Yep. AI can be useful for a LOT of things but unfortunately people tend to focus on the kind that steals from creatives.
Google are protected by section 230 of the DMCA , they are not legally a publisher.

Exactly!! They only care about capital, and so when you show UA-cam they will lose that money, they will finally act.
that’s honestly very effective. once you start hitting its pockets, youtube’s ears will perk up.
This is honestly the most creative tactic that i've seen.
This!! One of my first thoughts was how advertisers should NOT be ok with this, and once you get their attention UA-cam might actually do something
smart! for my own very fragile mental health, I will not be reading any of those awful comments but this is a great strategy
1 like no reply atomic shrimp reply? Let me fix that

Can the FBI do anything if the illegal behaviour is not coming from a person within their countries? Like if someone in Nepal spammed comments like these, what could the FBI do?
I'm guessing it's supposed to pressure yt through the govt of a country
I mean they prob couldn’t personally do anything about the poster themself if they’re in a different country aside from reporting them to that country’s government, but UA-cam itself is a US based company and can be investigated for allowing it on their platform

I first noticed it in Gabi bells comments, I then saw it in Harry J Miller, I saw it here! I’ve seen it ALLLL OVER and I have been tagging and reporting it for months now.
They do not care, the FBI doesn’t take these things as lightly.
you should still also report it to youtube, bc there needs to be a way to prove that youtube knowingly did nothing about it.
This. I think when it's not just spam, but CP as some people say (never met those, thankfully), you need to report directly to authorities. Unless YT has a clear policy for investigating these accounts aside from just banning them as they pop up.
Yes, this is important. tips . fbi . gov
How do you do that??? And they’ll listen?!!
@@hannahboebanna They’ll listen especially when it comes to CP or things of the sort, I’m not sure how to report but I would imagine it’s pretty easy to look up. And from what I have seen most of the links posted links to absolutely horrible things, similar to what the worst of the worst ai spam comments elude to. It’s not only a crime in of itself to film and create such content, but it’s also very illegal to spread and post especially in public spaces ESPECIALLY when children have access to said places.
they removed the block button too😭 the fuck is "hide user from my channel"?? im starting to think youtube genuinely cares more about removing adblockers than the actual problems here.
youtube is the problem
Wasn't like the BIG thing on UA-cam (before copyright) no nudity or porn? They take action on HISTORIC works like paintings and statues featuring naked people in a non-sexualized way, but CP going unchecked gets to stay up on UA-cam???? This is a disgusting new low.
Hey, just a reminder that cp isn't the term, and literally nobody uses it except actual pedophiles trying to make it seem like children can consent like normal porn and csem is the actual term
I think I have upwards of 200 keyphrases and specific character strings blocked entirely on my channel to keep most of the more overt NSFW stuff at bay, but there is ALWAYS more and they increasingly require closer inspection which is becoming frustrating.
honestly sucks that you have to do that, especially cuz it’s not working. just know ur doing great man
UA-cam and Google needs to be investigated by the FBI and Federal Government. How can they possibly allow LITERAL CSAM ON THEIR PLATFORM? Is it intentional grooming? The FBI needs to get on their ass NOW!!!
is there a way to tip the fbi lol? i feel like if so we should all be sending them tips

Oh my god, I'm so glad someone prominent is finally talking about this, it's been driving me crazy seeing people just ignore these guys. It's been bad for so long and reporting them doesn't do squat, UA-cam really don't care.
They stopped caring years ago
I've reported the same bot at least 50 times. I see the same name on every single video, specifically in commentary UA-cam. Still replies on 15-20 comments on every video. They really do nothing but hide the specific comment from the one that reports them.
Look people another Bot in the comments
Report it
I feel like the internet is a lost cause at this point. We need like a reset button.
I literally saw a bot promoting a CP video in Nick Crowley's video of an Instagram predator a few days ago. Reported it as soon as I saw it.
Honestly, UA-cam has hit a new low. Allowing bots to promote porn, CP and violence? I hate YT so much sometimes.
holy fucking shit

UA-cam is complicit the longer they let this go on. It's disgusting this is allowed.
Exactly. Soon enough it gets to a stage where they'll become complicit by means of wilful neglect.
Yeah, I think that is the only way they may try to do something.
I am also currently dealing with these random name bots. Absolutely terrible how youtube hasn't done anything yet
im terrified that these are gonna invade my channel since the uttp already knows about my channel :(
Maybe the bots that are spewing random names are trying to find your real name.
UA-cam is such a good website
yup, no wonder every week theres news about rape and pedophilia oml
How’d you find out it was real???? (I’m still in the beginning of the video, if he talks about it then sorry for being dumb)

Ainda bem que eu não passo mais tanto tempo olhando os comentários, me pergunto se os canais brasileiros também estão sofrendo esses ataques.
I GARENTEE you, there is a higher chance of them disabling all comments/ translations (cough cough dislike button.) instead of just fixing it.
I'm sorry you had to see that content, and hope your brother never stumbled across it.
Im horribly sorry you had to see that content, but you did the right thing speaking up. I hope your brother and yourself are alright :(
Corporations shouldn’t be allowed to hold themselves accountable, they’re incapable of it. Absolutely disgusting.
I think Audi only admitted to their part in the Holocaust in like 2007
The longer I live the more massive the CP problem seems.
@@abrasivesoup No! But...but...removing the block button is for YOUR joy and safety! For the kids! Why would you ever want to block another human!?

@@fermentedstrawberryit really scares me. It’s far too easy to find disturbing and sexual content, especially when it’s as easy as clicking once on a UA-cam comment

UA-cam will censor creators for nothing and will leave content like that on their platform alongside these egregiously disgusting spam comments? It makes me sick
The bots typing in isiZulu was the biggest jump scare ever. I was so confused as to why I could read it without translating the bot.
I remember when the UA-camr Technoblade passed away, and there were bots in every comments section about it saying he deserved it and they were glad he was gone and sh*t, and harassing fans...
I remember getting ads for s*x toys, adult content sites and even racist ads as well and they've been under things like speed paints, kpop music videos and even cartoon clips! It gets to the point if I'm watching UA-cam with someone else I turn ad blocker on because of how constant it is
This is such a huge problem, many schools who use laptops for research don’t have UA-cam accounts and UA-cam ads for non account users are so s*ex filled and it’s all “date Ukrainian women!” With a huge woman with honkers and the fact that s*x toys are allowed to be played in ads in the first place is awful although I feel like advertising s*x toys isn’t bad it is when it’s on a platform this big at any time of day ☹

The worst is YT took down Spam as a category for reports.
It shows up for me still if I go to report a comment, the bottom one says “spam or misleading”. Is that not a thing ?! 😭
