    Loved the music to Sanne's turns! Watching her on beam really is like watching a sugar plum farie

    Loved the music in Sanne's beam turns, it reminds me of Aliya Mustafina's beam routine back in 2016 Euros beam final... So beautiful ❤️

    no one is less of a fan of wolf turns, but i think having a three pass routine with another dance element truly is the best thing that rebeca can do for herself. her double pike dismount has just been too costly in the past.

    I'm trying to understand why they want to put the double turn in Rebeca's series. She has 3 ACL, the position wears out her KNEE and they are putting that in her series? Help?

      Se ela não estivesse mais apta a forçar os joelhos, provavelmente nem voltaria a estar competindo em alto nível...

      @@Sousza Um duplo esticado gera menos desgaste para a cartilagem do joelho do que flexioná-lo na altura do chão, Souza. Isso pode gerar uma lesão na cartilagem do joelho, fazendo o movimento articular da patela causar mais danos e provocar possível ruptura. Testa aí em casa, o que teu joelho mais sente: Pula da cama para o chão e fica na posição que a Rebeca ficou no vídeo e tenta levantar abruptamente. Qual é o pior para a cartilagem? Tenta aí. Se eu estou falando, é com propriedade.

    Split leap on beam is a B, so when Sanne adds the straight full to that combo, she gets an extra tenth for series bonus, making it 0.3 :)

    • @gymnasticsmasterclass
      @gymnasticsmasterclass  3 місяці тому

      The Split Leap was downgraded from B to A in the 2022 Code, that's why she removed the straight full from the combo (it doesn't add CV).
      She may perform it from time to time if she feels like her Full Turn to Split Leap was a little shaky (because that's her compositional requirement dance sequence).

    The skills are all downgraded from the past (except UB) but I don't see an offset with artistic improvements. All in all, give me world 2012 over world 2024, even with Simone.

      i’ve noticed this too. 2012 everyone was throwing arabians and amanars and all… bars are upgrading, floor tumbling is too. but vault and beam used to be better back then frfr

      There's a chance for Russian athletes to compete without using their flag, as independent athletes. I don't know exactly how it will work in Paris, but in other competitions they were able to.

      @@Sousza In addition to missing the world cups, Melnikova is banned no matter what because the gym she trains at is affiliated with the Russian military, so she can't be considered neutral. We're talking about Russia, but there's a Belarusian gymnast who competed in the last World Cups as an independent athlete, and even won gold on floor exercise in Baku: Yahor Sharamkou. I don't know if with Russia the penalties remain strict, but I believe that Russian athletes also had the chance to compete as independent athletes.

      Most likely not. Melnikova most certainly won’t be there as her gym is banned due to its ties with the Russian military. If anyone does manage it’ll be as a neutral athlete, but I haven’t heard of anyone doing that.
