175 hours here and cleared danger 5 on every character. The most important tip is to learn the enemy movement patterns. You can make any build work even with poor shop luck if you don't take unnecessary damage. It just takes practice. I'm not a very great gamer and have poor reaction time and even I can do it. Maybe you mention it in your other video but here are two more important tricks for shop manipulation: - The first two shops always have two weapons offered. If you hard roll for the weapon you want, you can often get 3-6 off them by the third wave. - You can play how you want, but it's much more effective to stack 6 of the same weapon. You'll influence the shop to give you more of it, and it's easier to combine weapons up to Tier IV when you have the space in your 6 slots to do it. You'd think it would take a long time to get 6 weapons with this strategy, but if you follow the first tip as well, you're set. Here's a couple more tips about damage scaling: - Structure damage only scales with Engineering. It is not affected by the % damage stat. - Burn doesn't stack. It always overwrites the debuff with the highest power burn. Scared sausage goes better with something like taser than wands or torch. - You mentioned that melee attack speed changes with range. You're right and this is because the animation time is added onto the cooldown. However unless you have a very tanky build, it's not a good idea to lower your range too much to get "higher dps". You'll end up earning much higher materials from cleaving more enemies with decent range. You'll also have more dps uptime while you dodge attacks. One last thing: Crit is way more valuable that it first appears. It's a great way to scale your damage. But most importantly there are several OP items that rely on crit procs: Tentacle, Giants Belt, Lucky Coin, Hunting Trophy. Tentacle is the most broken healing item in the game and isn't capped like lifesteal. Hunting Trophy is one of the only ways to have a decent economy in Endless mode. Though tbh I haven't played Endless since the last balance patch.
Love this. 1000% addicted to this. I have went and touched snow just so I don't turn into a brotato. My biggest 😮🧐 is when my % attack speed, melee dmg, % dmg, range dmg, and range were 50 and up. That attack % was above 150. They couldn't spawn fast enough. Thanks for play and sharing your knowledge.

Took me 12 tries to get through level 0 run. It’s one of those games for me that after I get through the 1st big trial (round 0) I snowball from there. Now I’m stuck at getting through round 4 with most characters completed round 1 or above
Thanks for the video! I had a feeling the shops worked that way, but I wasn't totally sure. One note though, I think you might be incorrect when it comes to Engineering. The wrench's damage is all melee based, as you said. But the direct damage of the screwdriver and the plank both do scale with the Engineering stat, as well as with melee damage (and also elemental in the plank's case.)
I just found out today that if your 6 spots are full and say you have pistol 3 and there’s a pistol 3 in shop you can buy it and your pistol 3 automatically upgrades to pistol 4
It's a tough game! There is a LOT to balance. I found that there were stats that I was consistently tanking and by the end of the game it was hurting me a lot. One of those was speed. Don't let your speed dip too far below 0. The only stat that I really feel comfortable letting drop is %damage, because there are lots of ways to get that damage back later. Also, choose between armor and dodge and pump it up a lot. Also, get as much health as you can! Hope that helps!
I found bull to be somewhat easy actually. I don’t have to focus on so much. HP regen armor and dodge is what I focused on. Also anything explosive. You don’t have to worry about range or attack speed with this character I found.

I've been playing Brotato mobile, having had a lot of practice with dodging playing games like Bullet Echo, Archero, Lone Survivor and Pickle Pete my highest difficulty has hit 3 with little trouble. But ISTG the boss fights are nearly impossible, and I'm stuck 😂 even at difficulty 1&2 I had to watch like 8 ads to revive and keep fighting, it sucks. Maybe I just need to better learn the actual game mechanics but it hardly seems worth it, this game's pretty boring and repetitive after a rather short amount of playtime
Mobile version is soo damn stupid. Need to watch ads everytime for premium items in the shop, if not youre just stuck with common item. Wtf is even that? Thats outrageous!
Just started playing and several things piss me off. First of all the rng is absolutely terrible, if you try to do a certain build; NOTHING you need pops up, even rerolling all my money. Also I only die when like 6 enemies spawn DIRECTLY on top of me literally giving me no chance of surviving even if I have powerful weapons and items the reason I always die in a high wave is that
I hear you. It can be frustrating for sure. I definitely have had dud runs where I just can't seem to find anything good to build the run around. On the flip side, I have definitely gotten better at movement and knowing how to stay safe. I found, early on, that I would sacrifice movement speed and dodge to get armor, damage etc. Dodge is really easy to pump up to the point where you are avoiding half the damage enemies throw at you. Hope you have a breakthrough, friend!
I truly despise the misuse of the term "rouge-like". Oh, it has permadeath or random drops. Not a Rogue-like. I'm not keen on Rouge-Lite either. It's like calling a baseball or soccer game a"Madden-like" because you score points and have a ball of some sort.

Do you mean the little spikey fruit? Some characters get bonuses for any fruit eaten at full health. I think that is the main benefit...

I can't get past the first run. What am I doing wrong? I feel like I'm playing the "right" way (i.e. buying the right items/weapons, avoiding damage).
It's a tough game! There is a LOT to balance. I found that there were stats that I was consistently tanking and by the end of the game it was hurting me a lot. One of those was speed. Don't let your speed dip too far below 0. The only stat that I really feel comfortable letting drop is %damage, because there are lots of ways to get that damage back later. Also, choose between armor and dodge and pump it up a lot. Also, get as much health as you can! Hope that helps!
I obviously have no idea what the problem is but I recommend keeping track of stats like armor. That was my issue.

I found bull to be somewhat easy actually. I don’t have to focus on so much. HP regen armor and dodge is what I focused on. Also anything explosive. You don’t have to worry about range or attack speed with this character I found.
