    The bobber stops move if your fishing deeper water. They don't go through the eyes of the rod to well.

      How deep are you fishing it? You can tie a knot before the stopper to keep it from slipping. Also you may want to use the smallest size on small diameter line.

    The stopper is on the wrong side of end it goes on the top of the bobber not the bottom

      There are two bobber stoppers. I pin the slip bobber to a fixed position for better control of the Action.

      @@FishYankerWhy use a slip bobber then? Why not just use a fixed bobber? Makes no sense

      They detect bites a lot better. And another good thing is when I get snagged on debris under the water. All you have to do is reel the bobber all the way down to the hook and give it a gentle push and the hook pops out of the snag.

      Yes sir. Bobber stopper on top and bottom for complete vertical jigging out in open water. Check out this video and you'll see how I catch lots of crappie with bobber stoppers on top and bottom. Of the slip bobber. ua-cam.com/video/eQWG1sYISNg/v-deo.html

      If your fishing that deep you may have to use tiny ones or the older tie on styles.

    Do these rubber bobber stops really work? Do they stay in place?

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes if you're using small line you can use small bobber stoppers the smaller the bobber stopper is, the better it will hold it's spot. you can also tie a knot to keep them from slipping up or down in any direction as an extra precaution.

  • @christianbethea8322
    @christianbethea8322 5 місяців тому +1

    Good for the bottom but not for the top cant cast them through the road kind of defeats the purpuse because you cant reel it through the guides or cast it without it barley casting out especially if your stopper is 5 feet or more from your makss casting distance alot shorter the further your hook is from top line guide

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  5 місяців тому

      It's mainly for 2 ft or less. I wouldn't try to cast it and be set on 5 ft deep. Control is the main reason I use it. more action. Thanks

      Try to keep from reeling them all the way through the guides. You can tie a knot to keep them from slipping up of down.

      @vermhot. Yes sir. pin the slip bobber so I can vertical jig for Crappie from a distance. Cast to the edge of the bushes or open water.

    • @vermhot
      @vermhot 25 днів тому +1

      Where do you put the second one ?? I usually fish water 10’ or more and don’t see this as a viable option.

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  25 днів тому

      @vermhot I agree, if you're fishing that deep you don't need the other one. I can usually get crappie to come up from 3 to 5 ft deep so I'm a lot shallower. Easily usually between 18 and 24 inches.
