- slip bobber rig - In this video Dan shows a quick and easy slip bobber rig. Slip bobber’s are a great way to catch crappie and walleye. A good slip bobber rig for crappie is a simple slip bobber, bead, and jig head. Slip bobbers for walleye are usually a hook or a jig head also. This video will show how to tie a slip bobber fast.
If you are thinking about going crappie fishing with a bobber but don’t know how to rig a slip bobber check out this crappie fishing tips video.

I’ve been bluegill fishing for 25yrs n never learned this…😅 I’ve been successful but it’s fall n need to fish deep.. this was a good vid!
You really made the whole slip bobber rig simple!
Honestly the best video explaining this. A lot of videos just go way too quick but you went super in depth for each step. Thanks man.

Kudos to you for just explaining it fast and getting to the information!
thanks for this I wanted to know for years how to use a slip bobber awesome
Thanks for this simple but so needed video…
*These are easy to use and highly visible **enjoyable.fishing** recommend they are extremely valuable for going from a dead drift set up to a float setup. They save time and you don't have to re-tie everything to add a float to your presentation.*
The best explanation video I've seen!
Never done this before. Thanks for making it straight to the point and simple
you bet man!
Most effective tutorial to date good work man.
Very helpful and clear description of how to put this on. Thank you!
Holy crap I was watching so many videos for so long until this video not even lying this was was helpfull
Man i'm just getting into fishing ( a week lol) and your vids have helped me understand a lot!! Thanks for being so thorough. just gained a new subscriber
If you're going to fish with bobbers, slip bobbers are the only way to go. You can set them (how deep) and size them (how much weight of lure, bait, line, etc,) will they support for any depth of water and any reasonable amount of weight hanging from them. I'm in the process of training a couple rookie fishermen and bobber fishing is the method they're most comfortable with so far. I just sent them this video to watch before the next time we go out.
Great video to break it down! Finally makes sense.
Thanks a lot man. This video was perfect. Step by step to a T. Gone are my days of stupid casting with a fixed bobber
you bet man!
Excellent video Sir. So clear and easy to understand. Thank you so much for educating me on this and making it easy to follow. Your amazing.

Best video out there for easy application. Thanks👍.
thanks
Excellent video. Concise and right to the point.
thanks man!
In UK you can get silicone float stops to use instead of the sliding line knot & they are very discreet.
Thanks for this, gonna use this tomorrow 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the very helpful video I look forward to trying this new rig!
you bet man! good luck!
Thanks for adding in why you use a slip bobber I never really understood why people would use one but that makes sense because when I try to put a regular bobber on three feet of line I can't cast it very well
right on man! you bet!
Best video I’ve seen so far
Thank you for making it so simple
thanks! been watching videos of ppl swearing by these without explaineing how to rig it!
you bet!
Thanks I was looking for a video like this.

5:24 to rig a 30 second that's ok was very informative

Thanks for doing this video. When ya haven’t wetted a line in 10 years, it’s nice to refer to these little videos to hold down the idiot factor to a minimum. ha!
I always wondered how these things work. Good video!
thanks man!
thank You!
Fantastic video. Thank you so much!
thanks Andy!
Thanks you sooo much bro. I've been wondering for the longest time how to rig those darn things😅. Great video bro.👊💯. I've subscribed.
you bet man! thanks!!
Well done . Thanks
Hey Dan, great informative video. Could you use a small little pinch weight instead of the bobber stopper with the knot?
That will work for maybe 2-3 feet. This allows you to go however deep you want, because you can reel in your line into you reel with the bobber stop (8, 10 ft, 30 ft, etc) which you can not do with a weight. 👍🏼
Good information.
thanks man!
Could I use a spilt shot instead of a stoper
Excellent. Thank you. 👍🏾
sure beats trying to throw your bait with 15 feet of line to the bobber. Makes things a lot easier. I like the adjustment with the stopper too.
Well explained
thanks!
Thanks
Thanks so muchhhhh
No problem
If you cut the tag ends off the bobber stop, you will not be able to tighten the bobber stop if it loosens. It would be best to shorten them but not cut them totally off.
Nice vid. So do I just use some fishing line to retie that knot if I swap the bobber off for a bit or the line breaks?
Excellent video !!!! Thanks for sharing
thanks man!
Good video
Can you advise please the bobber I have is the same one in your video but but mines comes right out of the stick part how do I set this up
I know I’m late to this vid but does that beed ever get caught up or tangled up when casting?
Who else is subscribed to him
Easy enough! Thank you!
My bobber stop get stuck in the eyes when reeling up and moves deeper when I cast. What's the trick?
Thanks for the video man
When i use a bead it keep going in to the eye of the rod then it doesn't cast good how do i fix that
Excellent. Ty!
thanks!
Good video thanks
no problem man! thanks!
What are you do if you want to adjust depth
Great vid thanx
No problem 👍
Thanks this helps
I honestly don’t know how these work. You did a great job at explaining and it’s totally understandable but maybe I need to take it out myself and try a couple cast to see it. I didn’t think it’d go back into the reel. Hmm idk. I have to try it out now.
yea try it... once you tighten the bobber stop it is small enough it goes right through the eyes of your rod... be sure to cut the extra string on your bobber stop or it will catch when you try to cast.
What is the difference between this and a spring bobber?
Honestly, I believe a small split shot would work too.
It can be moved just as easily.
I've had three bobber stops come off in the last 2 days I don't know what I'm doing
Thanks for sharing. Should I put on a small split sinker above the hook.
Thanks
yes, but not to small... make sure it is heavy enough to pull all the line through the slip bobber.

Thanks for the tip
Instead of the stopper knot, is there any reason you can't just use a bead peg the same as you do when drifting beads?
Can I use sinkers rather than the bobber stops?
Thank you!!!!
No problem
Thank you for the vid👍🏼
any suggestions why the bobber stop is becoming unraveled while in use?
If you want to save some gear use a swivel and a leader below the bobber. If you snag and lose the lure you are out the bobber.
Thanks for this video!
you bet!
What size bobber should you use? They make all different sizes.
Depends on the weight of your jig or sinker
Great video 👍
thanks man!
My favorite!!!!!!!
