How To Rig A Slip Bobber For Crappie Fishing (Step By Step)

- In this video, I show you How To Rig A Slip Bobber set up for crappie fishing. This rig is especially great for crappie fishing over deep water brush piles. However, I have had success with this rig fishing during the crappie spawn, as well as bridge fishing. This set-up also works great for almost any species of fish, or any type of fishing. Since I started using a slip bobber set up, I haven't used a snap bobber, this rig is convenient in many ways. I hope you try this set up while fishing with a bobber/cork. Humm, all I want to know is that we have a stocked large pond , and there are plenty of fish, including some Sacalie …. I used to catch plenty of them, and we live in South LA. But because of the drought, we finally began to have rain to help us out slowly…. So, is there anything that you can do to help us…?anything to help us, and especially for me to catch Sacalie

For the 75K contest. This is my favorite video because I didn’t have any success with crappie fishing here in Michigan until I watched this tutorial and learned the proper slip cork technique. Because of this, I am now enjoying crappie this Winter during my downtime 🙂.

@@903fishing I didn't have a bobber stopper that day so I used a uni to uni with a bead as a stopper. Worked in a pinch but non adjustable.

This has to be my favorite video , I just recently got back into fishing beginning of 2023 , and you taught me about the jig and slip cork! I use it and have been trying to perfect the pop technique , trust and believe it has put some slab crappie in the boat!

My bro finally a video that does not Just show us the instructor catching specks and saying I’m using a slip bobber and hook only. But doesn’t think it’s important enough to explain to those of us who are not experienced with speck fishing so we are not learning the Technique of proper set ups. I'm going to try this method on my favorite local lake. Its cold here and I recently tried using spinners near the bottom of the deep section, but to my amazement I hit loads of dead algae, grass, and gunk which I NEVER dealt with during the summer when I used spinners. I'm hoping this will let me target the deep section from above and avoid all the crap, just like you said.

Thanks for posting. I do a direct line tie to snell, hook, or jig head. I have lost so many bobbers though. I will give this method a try now. I will try and use this for jig head lure fishing as well to see who that works.

This is how my grandfather taught me to do it. Only we used two of the plastic stops on mono with eagle claw crappie rigs. I like the braid idea with mono a as leader, ive lost a lot of rigs to brush and piers bc they break above the swivel.

Thank You 903 I do catch fish with different cork se-tups but I think I like your method better because I normally put the weights just above the hooks and I can see how it limits the movement of minnows and perhaps live worms. I will definitely use this system. Thanks and will subscribe as well.
