Awh ha! So do just like I do when using a dental loop to thread my floss through for my lower dental bridge. Got it sweetie pie that was very simple to follow nowI can protect my knot on my main line swivel before I put my leader line on. Everything in the starter set was clear and like years ago (and I still have some stuff of course), but silicon stopper and not perls? Never heard of that. How I can get them on the line? I had the idea of pulling the line thru - but then I though maybe I have to take the whole line with 4 silicon perls. I was never so confused about fishing since I tried fly fishing. Just two pictures needed on the box -> Put the line thru -> pull the silicon stopper over. Even in two sentences it would be great to understand. Great product and worst description. Thank you so much to have it clear now.
These arent just for bobbers folks they are pretty slick for texas rigs and pegging that sinker to keep ur bait down down or allowing a bit play depends on situation
I'm 65 and I was thinking about how there should be a better replacement of the cotton or string stops. Just as you said they become too loose and then worthless. I just wanted to add a little something. I use the wobble bobbers for the added action and the greater casting distance. Thanks, you done good 👍
Thanks for showing us how to attach these however for me i've just found that they're a total waste of money for the following reasons: 1. They cannot be reused once removed, so if you want to use them again you have to leave them on, which then also means either having to use the same float every time, or using a float swivel attachment to attach your float on and off. So you'd be leaving these on your line when packing up and having them left on your line just above where the line is clipped. What if you want to change to a bomb or feeder? you'd have to use a spare spool (if you have one, or another reel) and then the line of this spool will be dangling at the end with the float stops and swivel attachment looking untidy. 2. I would only find these useful if using a loaded float (if i'm ok with what i mentioned above which i'm not). If i'm using an unloaded float then i'd want the main shotting weight round the float to help reduce the chance of tangles with the rest of the shots down the line which would often be lighter than those round the float. 3. Now this is probably the most damning reason why i wouldnt use these. Why would you want to use these instead of split shots? people say shots damage the line....anything can damage the line and line will wear over time, even if its not being used! i have a spool of 2lb test mono line which i've had for quite some time and i only used it to practice tying knots and making hook lengths. Now that line can be snapped easily with the smallest of force so now i only use it for practicing tying hooks and i had to buy a new spool for making hook lengths. The only small pro to using these is the fact that they easily slide up and down the line so you can quickly adjust the depth you're fishing at. Well with split shots all you need to do is put your finger nail in between the split gap with just enough of a poke so its loosened enough to then slide up and down the line, once you have them where you want them then its just a quick little bite with your teeth and good to go. My advice do not buy these...oh and heres' another two cons with buying these, i only got 15 for paying £1.29. With split shots for similar price you can get a variety of weights with a decent amount of each which can easily be reused each time you fish, the other con is after attaching the first float stop on your line, the loop shrivels up so makes it that bit more difficult threading your line back through it for attaching another one or for say when your line breaks due to a big fish and you have to attach two new ones on. So my advice leave these float stops and just use split shots.
Yes you could use slip shots have on occasion, but they cause crimping of the line. As for the stopper itself, I have never had it interfere with other fishing styles if I chose not to use a slip bobber. But each to his own. Thanks for dropping by.
Got an idea how to use a fishing float swivel cane connector to fishing line? Looks like a miniature wheel attached to a swivel claps that slide up or down line. Would greatly appreciate some information on how to use this item?
A spincast reel could be problematic as the line has to feed through the open in the cover. The bead could get held up. Ideally a spinning reel is much better as there is no obstruction to the bead during the cast.
Once you remove them from either your fishing line or from the wire they can not be used again. You can keep them on your fishing line for as long as you like. I have one on one of my rigs that has been there all season. Tight lines.
I find that these do work better. The stopper know does have a tendency to untie after a while. I have never had a problem with them when casting and there has certainly been no damage to any line guides. Tight lines.
I end up using 3 above my bobbers, otherwise, it moves constantly. 🤔 Maybe I've been using large on 10lb Flourocarbon....hmmm, I'll check! Thanks!! 👍👍👍
I recently got some rubber bobber stops in the medium size. But they seem a tad too big, and I have trouble casting because of my small rod guides.. Is there any way to make the barber stop smaller?

Do they work when wound into the reel? I seem to have casting problems when different ones are wound up into the reel's spool (spincast).
A spincast reel could be problematic as the line has to feed through the open in the cover. The bead could get held up. Ideally a spinning reel is much better as there is no obstruction to the bead during the cast.

When tying up a Texas rig, does the stopper go above or below the bullet weight?
Above, you want the weight to pull the line down to the depth that the stopper is set at.
Salvaged one the other day with a sewing needle... a knot in the line would have prevented it from just sliding up the line.
