=======================================================
This short shift lever is built for performance without compromising comfort. It installs easily, replacing the OEM shift lever on your '19+ Veloster N with no modifications required to the surrounding console. The re-engineered lever reduces shift travel by 30%, giving you a shorter and more crisp shifting experience as you row through the gears. The shifter is also positioned closer to the driver by half an inch, putting the shift knob in a much more comfortable position, all while retaining full functionality of the reverse lockout.
Shift lever is threaded for M10x1.25.
Weighted shift knobs feature a 270g precision CNC machined brass core for added weight as well as a delrin shell for durability, excellent appearance and ‘temperature management’. A heavier shift knob puts the weight towards the end of the shift lever. This increased momentum while shifting gives you a greater mechanical advantage, allowing for a much more positive feeling throw when rowing through the gears. The delrin shell with laser-etched Boomba logo prevents the surface of the shift knob from getting too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. These shift knobs make a great addition to your Veloster interior!
Combine with the Boomba Racing Transmission Adapter for maximum reduction!
The shifter and collar itself is designed & manufactured in Boomba's facility, right here in the U.S. and all mounting hardware are included. All shift levers are precision CNC machined black oxide billet steel, anodized billet aluminum and high quality delrin for maximum strength and durability. A definite mod for daily drivers as well as autocross and road racing enthusiast!
Hi team, wanted to provide some feedback on an improvement to the instructions. For the part where you need to remove the small nylon bush off the bottom of the shifter itself, your instructions are to hammer it off. Unfortunately mine broke doing it that way. I’ve subsequently found that if you take the shifter out and sit the nylon bush in boiling water for 5 mins, it easily can be pulled off by hand (with a cloth for grip). Thought I’d share the feedback.
Can I replace the knob without changing the short shifter?
Hi, unfortunately the shift knob fits on our shift lever and will not fit the slip-design on the VN. Sorry for the inconvenience!
"I cant wait to get a new shifter for my Veloster!"

"Guess I'm not getting a new shifter for my Veloster"
You never show the procedure from hyundai to lock the gear shift in fourth gear
Great video, just received mine and about to install!
Wouldn’t recommend using a wrench and hammer to remove the bottom bushing. Broke mine during the process and had to order the entire shifter bracket. Boomba should supply one with the kit
Yep me too! But heating with boiling water allowed mine to easily slip off.
@@joshlambert9100 where did you find another nylon bushing? I had to order the entire shifter bracket it even comes with the shift linkage I don’t need 😂
Just an update. One week later my spare shifter bracket came in so I used hot water to help soften up the bottom bushing and it was a lot easier this time. The only thing I don’t like is that 2nd and 4th gear don’t engage as easy or smooth. I have to shift slightly harder and faster out of 1st and 3rd so it fully engages. I’m thinking it’s the shift linkage I had to adjust where I installed the boomba transmission shifter adapter.
@@thomascastillo9754 glad the hot water method worked. Did you remove the little ring on the bottom of the shifter itself? If you don’t remove that you can have problems getting into some gears. It’s a step on the Boomba shift adapter instructions.
@@joshlambert9100 yeah the rubber bump stop. I installed the new shifter and it doesn’t come with the rings but my 2nd gear is non existent from 1st to 2nd while driving. Had to take off from 2nd gear and only engages from 3rd to 2nd while down shifting. I’m going to get a better look at it in the morning. feels like its hitting something before it’s able to engage.
does this make any improvement in shifter throws in r spec models?
Hi! The amount of throw reduction with our short throw shifter is significantly more than that of the OEM R-Spec Shifter. This would be a quite good upgrade! Thanks for your interest!
Do you guys have an in person store to get this installed?
Did it myself. Wasn’t too bad. The video makes it look scarier than it actually is :)
