I use this whenever I have pimples (male, 23) and it’s great. My mom is still using it since 1980s and until this day it works great. Also when saying Payot the -t is silent so it’s “Pajo” haha!

I also used this in the 1980/1990s. A great product indeed, had no idea this is still available!
The smell didn't bother me at the time, but I do remember that it didn"t dry down, which made it a little difficult to use while sleeping (without smudging the product on your pillow). Even though the color is light grey, it was far too visible and shiny to wear during the day.
So more suitable to wear on an 'off day' when you're not leaving the house. But overall a lovely 'paste' that gets the job done...

Holy crap, I used this product in my late teens, early 20s. Payot used to be sold at JC Penney’s when they had cosmetic counters, circa late 80s to early 90s. They had a mattifying moisturizer that smelled amazing. This product was similar to a thick oil/cream for breakouts if I remember correctly. Grease Paste. I used to love the line, but it disappeared from my store, as did the cosmetic counters and I moved onto other products.

I am using this product and I really like it, mainly because my skin is terribly oily and I use it in the night and by the time I wake up my skin doesn’t look oily, just really healthy… it’s recent but I feel like it’s gonna do the job with the pimples as well…

I've never heard of this brand. Thanks for sharing. My current treatment for any blemishes is just to use tea tree oil. My skin can't handle benzoyl peroxide or anything like that anymore.

Will have to try this. I very rarely still get an occasional under the skin painful blemish, and my three youngest sons are 13, 12 and 12...and starting to get the occasional pimple.

My mom went to the opening of a beauty salon / spa in the area (a niece of an aunt by marriage) and she uses Payot products. They all got a sample about the size and shape of your jar, of a moisturizer, and it is an amazing moisturizer. I don't recall the exact name, though!

Great review -- thanks! Does Pate Grise help with blackheads, too? Also, how did you deal with not smudging your sheets when wearing it at night? The company's website recommends putting tape over the product, but I wasn't sure what kind of tape, and this sounded a little uncomfortable, so I was just wondering how you handled it?
