- Long time, no see!!! :) The semester is finally over & I am hoping to film a few videos this week. In this video, I am going over my updated system in my personal Filofax Malden in ochre. I also have a Filofax Flex in grey that holds 2 Sugar Paper Planners for Target. I hope you enjoy and TFW!!!
I've watched this at least 3 times and it never gets old. Love watching your setup whenever I need ideas or fall off track planning. :)
Noelia Kline Thank you Noelia! I will be posting an update when I get back home at the beginning of August. I upgraded to an A5 for work/school planning and stayed in a personal Filofax for my "personal life," such as cleaning and errands. TFW!!!

I'd love to see a video about what changes you're making in your planning system from last school year in anticipation of this one. I'm a Ph.D student and it's so nice to find someone whose videos are interesting but don't feel the need to do mass amounts of decorating. I'm like you--all about functionality and professionalism while still looking nice/fun.

I'm utilizing with an A5 planner that stays at home w/ a week on 2 pages Erin Condren type layout. I'll do an updated setup as soon as I make some time! I'll plan on doing it this weekend! TFW!!!
It's amazing what you can fit in the personal size. I switched to A5 because I found my personal one so small, but now I'm watching your video and I want my old one back! Lol
shoppingfiesta lol, it's the Malden! It's magic, I swear. I just recently switched into my A5 chameleon for work and school planning.... and now I want an A5 malden so I can pack it full of stuff! lol TFW!!!
This is so functional! I love the way you're using your pages...how you're using your sticky notes and page flags, and highlighters etc :)

Thanks for posting this update. I love watching your videos and get so many great ideas for my planner. I also love how reuse and recycle items and don't just buy something new because an old idea didn't work for you.

aestheticly organized chaos That's wonderful news! I'm not sure if I have ever found the elusive "planner peace," but I honestly just like the process of trying new layouts and new ways to plan my life. So, that brings me peace in itself. TFW!!!
Rachel Dunaway I'm trying new layouts every now and then.... sometimes I think I will never get bored with it :D... but your planning style really helped..I m watching this video for the tenth time now :D... and I always say, if you can stay organized with 'planner peace your in' that's the one :D...

I have been struggling so hard with my planner setup because I'm so used to bullet journal style daily planning (which by the way -- totally love that setup! I have a few ideas on how to tweak mine now) and have had a hard time with it. I loved my midori but I love my personal sized planner more I think so I'm going to have to sit down and try out some changes! I watch a lot of planner videos and this has given me inspiration for the first time in a long time (mainly because I haven't seen anyone try to implement bullet journal in the way that you have)! :)
P.S - I saw a pretty long strip of washi tape that said Lousiville, KY and I was hoping you were a local. My husband joked "You could go planner supply hunting" because he usually gets stuck on those trips! lol I'm new to the area so it'd be nice to meet a fellow planner!
Alex Southwell Awwwww... I was there for a conference for school, but that would've been great! I don't have anyone near me that has this same hobby. If I ever head back, I will definitely let you know Alex! I'm so glad you found some ideas from my videos. I am constantly changing and tweaking mine. I have come to terms with the fact that my planner peace is that my system is constantly evolving. I will never have one system that will last me the rest of my life because my life is constantly changing. I don't like anything to stay stagnate and I have to always feel like I am improving. And my planner journey has given me that. I hope that makes you feel a little better about your own struggle. Don't give up and stay positive! TFW!!!

Have you ever looked at the DIYFish inserts? I think you would really find them useful to track all the different areas of your life. They are a tad expensive, but they are so worth it.
Ashley Cole Wolfenbarger I definitely have. For some reason, I just love "making my own inserts" or putting different ones together in my planner. The one thing I want to implement from her system is the monthly and weekly charts. I have done that before in my midori traveler's notebook grid inserts and it's worked really well. Once a month I remove everything (pens, cards, inserts, everything) from my Filofax Malden Personal. I keep the removed items nearby and only put them back in when I use them, or f I know I *will* use them regularly.

Anna Daloisio I got them a while ago and I have not seem them recently either. :( There is a brand called Oli Block that makes similar clips that are sold at the Container Store (& their website). Good luck and TFW!!!

I'm obsessed with your videos! I'm not quite in law school yet, but i have a REALLY busy semester this time around and the color coding tape is a the best idea! i wanted to ask what kind of white pen you use. yours is so opaque and i haven't found one quite like that yet. thanks!
+Melissa Diaz I use a Sakura Gelly Roll pen in white. You should be able to buy them as single pens at Michael's or in a pack off Amazon. I bought the "souffle" set off Amazon for more colors. The trick is to write slowly. :) TFW!!!
Where did you get the notebook at? It's the one that said a notes on it.

I love your videos. I get so many great ideas from them! I was just wondering if there was some specific tool you use to round the corners or you just do it manually, with scissors (I'm hoping there's something that does it that neatly, because I am not coordinated enough to make it look so even and nice!) lol.
+Maria Krishtul lol, I use a corner rounder from ektools. I purchased a 2-pack from Target where one punch is 1" and the other 1/2'. I believe it was around $10. Hope that helps and TFW!!!

What pen do you use for writing on the washi tape?
Great video and wonderful ideas! May I ask what kind of ink you use with your iconic stamps on the Filofax inserts? Is there much bleed or shading on the other side?
kgeong I use versa magic ink that I found at JoAnn Fabrics. There is no bleed through because it is chalk ink. I do not recommend any ink except chalk ink, but the brand shouldn't matter. Good luck and TFW!!!

Michelle Aldrich I actually got it from Walmart about a year ago!!! I recommend checking the craft section there every once in a while. I was super surprised when I found washi there! TFW!!!
