- He’s working for me now! I invited David down to the Whiskey Row speakeasy to retry Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. How do I like this amazing sweet urban the second time around?

Well done, Jaime! Love how you are taking an interest in the whiskey community and how you support your husband in his passion as well. Glad to support your channel!
Thank you for all your support! It’s amazing how much I’ve grown to really get the whole bourbon thing 😂😂
The store picks of this is amazing! This was one of my starter bottles. I keep a bottle on the bar always!
W/R Double Oaked is one of my favorites along with Old Forester 1910 &1920. Glad to hear Jaime is liking the Woodford. On the finish, I get roasted marshmello with a hint of maple.
Woodford Double Oaked was the second bourbon I added to my collection. It's a must have for me. Congrats on your channel 👏 👍🏼
I loved it!! My pallet has grown for sure! Thank you so much!
Double Oaked was the reason I started loving bourbon... amazing stuff. If you love the brown foreman stuff, you should do whisky row blind and rank them! Old forester 1870, 1897, 1910, 1920. I know you love the 1910 but the others are really good, too.
That's one of my favorites. I much prefer it over 1910. Big bold flavors but nice and smooth.
2:10 😬 gives me chills of the I whiskey she wines episode " how to get anyone to like whiskey"
And look at his wife now!
Lol not sure what you mean. I haven’t watched them but I will check it out! Thank you for watching! Cheers!
I'm impressed with your palette....more Jamie and David !!
🙌🏼 Thank you for your support!
Woodford Double Oak to me is like drinking a candy bar. I get so much chocolate with the overall sweetness.
One of my favorites! Glad you like it. i am trying to get my wife taste and enjoy bourbon.
Never have had Woodford Reserve Double oaked only Woodford Reserve I've had is the Woodford Reserve Wheat Whiskey 😋🥃yummy. I love these videos I can't get my wife into whiskey though 🤣🥃
Thumbs up, Jamie! 😊 Cheers from Sweden! 🇸🇪
Brandy, Cherry's, honey, oak, sweet
I think the sweetness, marshmellow, toffeness comes out the best if you have e.g. the straight and the rye before..in direct comparison to this the double oacked is sooo much better 😉👌🏻
Thanks for the review. I have liked and subscribed. I really like Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, it’s a bourbon go-to for me.
For the longest time I said that I didn't like bourbon because my only exposure to bourbon was when my dad would drink bourbon and coke using the cheap 80 proof stuff that comes in a handle for under $20. A few years ago when my brother let me try some of his WLW. I realize that I was missing out on a whole hell of a lot and I'm pretty hooked now
You should try Isaac Bowman Port Wine Finish - it's Buffalo Trace juice, very mellow, and the port wine gives nice sweet berry notes. I was surprised how much I liked it!
Cute video - especially the end! I like that whiskey too.
Im a newbie to Bourbon as we dont get many in the U.K but i finished this bottle in a week
Is this a current video?? When was this filmed? 🤔 That bottle is great 😋
It was filmed today! Think I may start this weekly ☺️
@@Beyondwhiskeyrow awesome!!! Let us all know that you will be current now 😊
#First #TeamJaime
I just bought this bottle last week to take to Florida… pretty excited to try it
Sooo good! Let me know what you think! Thank you for watching ☺️
I like Woodford DO a little more than OF1910
Jaime, please try Yellowstone bourbon. Sipping on it right now and I find it rather sweet. There’s a chance you may like it. I know David has one from a previous video.
Yes! I will try it next 😊 Thank you for the recommendation.
It's very similar to OF 1910. Both winners imo.
They both are winners in very different ways!
Very nice Jamie . Glad you are finding more and more bourbons you enjoy . What is David going to do when you are more famous then him ?
😂😂😂🤷🏼♀️ Hopefully I won’t get kicked out of the Speakeasy!! Thank you for watching ☺️
I subscribed instantly
Thank you so much!
i dont get the berry or honey on that one. the oak influences seem to overshadow any other nuances
David King of compares it to forester 1910. Why? Is WR a subsidiary of OF?
OF 1910 was the first bourbon I loved. Perfect balance of sweetness, so at the beginning of my journey we compared just so I could narrow down the notes I most love.
Your husband is a lucky man
So sweet! Thank you so much for watching!!
@@Beyondwhiskeyrow have you ever tried Slipknot No. 9?
@@jessiechrist3018 I have not.. should I?
@@Beyondwhiskeyrow I can send you a bottle if you’d like? Are you familiar with the metal band Slipknot?
@@jessiechrist3018 Ok David said he’s familiar!! ! Email us @thewhiskeyrow.com
Anytime your beautiful wife invites you to a mini date that is a good thing even if it is in your own bar.
I have tried it twice and cannot get past the smokey off-putting flavor. I don't get any sweet or chocolate notes. My bourbon buddy felt the same. He & I have similar palates. We prefer 100+ abv.
ECBP, Stagg & Stagg Jr., Wild Turkey Rare Breed, 1792 Full Proof, Bookers. These are our favorites. We both cannot stand this Double Oaked yet enjoyed Elijah Craig's version.
I bought a store pick bottle from a store with otherwise great picks and am hoping the overpowering smoke funk taste dissipates with time. I truly don't understand all the high reviews for this bourbon.
The Double Oaked is the only WR I like, love. My palate has grown since this video. Can definitely agree that higher proof between 100-115 is where I find complexity. I still sip on this one often when I’m not filming, mostly the store picks so not every bottle is created equal. Thank you for taking the time to comment and watch Sitori☺️🥃
Awkward... Lol!
I’m so use to David beginning it and ending it 😂😂 Starting to feel like I’m a better supporter then the main host😬🤷🏼♀️ The channel is a work in progress! Thanks for watching!
@@Beyondwhiskeyrow you'll be a pro at it in no time.
