I’ve been enjoying watching your videos, but I have to say in this one, because I spent several days as a tourist in Sarajevo 7 years ago, I am a bit sensitive about your negative comments. Bear in mind, the pickpockets are nothing compared to children being shot to death in a Texas classroom. Maybe more sensitivity and a more worldly perspective would be helpful. Yes, I know you hate America. I get that. Bosnians were struggling before Covid and yes, there is corruption, but right now no one is getting shot in the street. This is important. These folks have been through hell and they just want peace. Give them a break. You see a lot of young people. Maybe the old ones aren’t around because they died in the war. They’re making an attempt at a fragile peace. This is what that looks like. Good for them.

I have watched both of your videos about Sarajevo now. It is funny to me that you are the only one that has a negative opinion about the city. (As far as I have seen). I think you came to the country with prejudice and negative attitude. You are complaining about not finding the right sim card half of the video, when actually it is pretty easy if you just googled it. There are plenty of cofee shops that has no smoking area. You can Google that too.
You are also complaining about the infrustucture. The city has has been at war for 4 years in the 90, and every day thousands of granades destroyed most of the city. Most of the european cities have never had war in them, but Sarajevo is still one of the most beautiful cities. You should educate your self about the country before you hate on it🙂👍
Besides, I think it is the people of the city that makes a city special or not. I belive everyone you met had a great attitude towards you, and was very friendly.
    Hvala!

I mean, not too big of an issue so far but starting to be: like, they don't respect law when they come here as they do in places where they live in Germany, Switzerland etc. - they have the right to vote and they dictate politics from there without living full time in their homeland and not really knowing the problems from within. They think we locals that live here owe them a lot and they are 'above us' etc.
      Those kind of things?
P.S. I personally have relatives living abroad and not everyone falls into that category, but it is getting worse every year.

Bosnia and Herzegovina reminded me of Czechoslovakia when I first went there in 1992. While in the cities there you also had to watch the "pick pocketers" whom were mostly gypsies (cigansky). I don't think the Police there were working with thieves, but the police were very corrupt, for instance, pull you over for speeding and all you would need to do is hand them some small bills and they would let you go, with that said USA sent over many teams of Chiefs of Police and Trainers to help the Police force(s) become much more professional, honest and to serve the public better. I like the fact you tried many cafes and restaurants out. Tip: please write the total paid in $ USD and Euros so we could all see it. Great vlogs and keep up the work! Slava Ukraine!

@@JohnnyFD so basically you complain about 2-3 things ..you cant buy phone Card for longer than few days (and after you run out of that 2-3 dollar you paid for it at literarly every shop you cross over you need to put 2 dollar more to continue using it, for emergencies you can use it even after years) second you cant pay with your credit card every single Dollar you spend in some local coffee bar.. actually in most european countries you cant even buy a phone Card without registration so i would say be happy about buying a phone Card without registration. And maybe its a good thing not to pay every bill with your credit card just go to any Bank and take Cash man thats not big deal at all. Be more flexible not every Dollar needs to be paid with credit card use your Cash freedom thats valuable. When bosnians sit in a bar they dont want to sit with a Computer they went there to Meet Friends and have Fun with them those public places are not reserved for computer junkies maybe thats better way to use the pub and if you want to sit on the Computer just stay at the hotel ;) .. and most beautiful thing you Go to a bar and just Start talking to locals and almost make friends they werent arrogant at all and welcomed you with Open heart like every bosnian would do .. That you will never See in other country you wouldnt even be able to talk to any of locals in most europe or possibly most of european countries.. thats sad really that you picked up few minor things to complain about .. When i visited sarajevo my first time in 1998 the city was 90% damaged and i saw lot of those big buildings burned down i am so Happy they managed to rebuild the city and i am sure soon there will be no more signs of damage from the past. The kindness of citizen of bosnia and especially sarajevo are often Misundetstood as weakness from their neighbours and thats why they often try to Attack and damage one of the most beautiful countries in the world. He made his own sour cream. The bread reminded me of a very large and soft English muffin. So very good! I grew up in an area outside of Chicago called Cicero. The corruption ran deep with the local politicians/government with plenty of gang issues. But I still have a massive soft spot for the area and there are restaurants I will always visit when I go back home. The mom and pop shops there are usually pushed out of the city due to building rent prices and tourists want those chains because they are "safe" because they know they will like something on the menu. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume it's the same in a number of large cities/tourist areas.
Also, Chicago is VERY popular with tourists but there are a large amount of thieves, smash and grab groups, pick pockets, etc. Those people RARELY get charged but it just has a lot to do with what is worth the police's time. I have never had an issue nor known anyone who has. I currently live in Nashville and I have had more negative experiences here than I ever did in Chicago.
Perhaps it's different because you need places where you can work while traveling, but I don't know how fair it is judge a location for not allowing people to work from cafes or restaurants, graffiti, or pick pockets in the touristy areas.

I was not brought up like that and you ruin my dreams that we can all be friends regardless of nation, name and religion. I want to say hello to my friends from Sarajevo who would never allowed me to feel so humiliated because of the mistake made by the former president of our country, whom we never loved. I never said there were no victims. It was yours, ours, theirs. That war should never have happened, like none after all. Every war is meaningless itself. The war in Bosnia in particular, because it was between three peoples who had previously lived in peace and harmony. I feel sorry for every innocent victim, every child equally, I can't even imagine, I would never share the victims by name. I was a seven-year-old girl at the time and I remember talking about it every day, and I was very afraid that some people in uniform would come and take my dad to war (a war he didn't want, he didn't support, he hated ). I can't understand a person who can support something like that, it's not a person, it's beast. I just thought that we are smarter (younger generations) that we should respect everyone's pain and loss, but that we should also leave innocent victims to rest in peace, and we should respect each other, support, help, respect each other's differences, but to appreciate our similarities and most important not to allow something like that to ever happen again.

Hello. I just found your channel. You should come to the city of Travnik. It's a beautiful city and it's been the capital of Bosnia for more than 100 years.

I had the courtesy of meeting you and having lunch with you in Sarajevo. It was my pleasure being with you and guiding you through (at least) a little part of Sarajevo. I'm saddened that you didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped you would, maybe we will meet again some time and that I'll be able to show you around my hometown next. Cheers man and good luck with your next trips! P.S. I hope you bring your wife to Dubrovnik soon 😂
