Johnny, you need to learn some history! "Half Soviet Yugoslavia" you say. Yugoslavia was NOT a member of the Soviet bloc. Tito broke with the Soviet Union in 1948 and kept Yugoslavia independent. You don't know Yugoslavia, so don't use it as a pejorative word. I visited the country in the 1960s, 70s, 80s, as did millions of foreign tourists.
@@rocketman7619 What? It was a founder and a member of Non-aligned movement and all the way to sixties received loans, grants and military aid from the US. So no, it wasn't a Soviet satellite.

Most of Montenegro`s coastline was annexed by Serbia from Austria-Hungary ( Kingdom of Dalmatia-now part of Croatia) after 1918 and handed over to Montenegro. You can see from some of the architecture along the Montenegro coast that it was built by Dubrovnik.
@Bs Ds If you are interested in actual facts you can look at any map online of the region before 1918 and you can see that most of the Montenegro coastline i.e: the "Bay of Kotor", was part of the "Kingdom of Dalmatia"-Austria-Hungary ( now part of Croatia).

Good on you Johnny for helping that family and everyone else. You're an absolute legend. Outwardly on your videos it looks like you're living this great life of travel and relaxation, but behind the scenes I know you work very hard to help others. Don't worry about the critics of your views on Ukraine. They can cite high brow sounding info, and link to fancy looking websites, but can't seem to do the simple task of putting themselves in the position of someone whose city is being bombarded. How would they like it if that was happening to them???
Your dialogue at the end of the video reflects my current view and is just common sense decency. A couple years ago I became interested in Russia and then Ukraine because of music artists I discovered. That led to finding Mr. Bald and yourself as well as Russian UA-camrs. I was at first willing to give Russia and Putin the benefit of the doubt because of the progress they made after the Soviet Union collapsed, and still think NATO is playing a dangerous game including eastern European countries. The fact that Russia is destroying the people and regions it claims to be liberating is outrageous as well as it's persecution of political dissent has brought me to see things as you do. I don't hold the war against all Russians and have been helping one of those artists that spurred my original interest try to immigrate to Turkey. The fact that hundreds of thousands have fled Russia speaks volumes. Thanks for what you do.
@@Geo-nw9ug I'm very open to hear all sides. What I mostly talked about was my limited exposure through artists and UA-camrs. Checked your channel for opinions but only saw gaming content.
@James Menke You are so wrong saying that "NATO is playing a dangerous game including eastern European countries". The East European countries desired to be in NATO more than anything else to feel protected from the menace of Russia. They suffered centuries of Russian conquering and abuse and wanted NATO protection. It was not NATO that asked them to join, it was the other way around.
@@mariuspopescu284 Thanks for that view. They also were invaded by France, Germany etc., before NATO. As I recall, It was Georgia's desire to join NATO that came before Russia's war with them. They certainly have a moral right to join any alliance they wish. Knowing that this is a line in the sand for Putin should allow for some serious thought on the matter. I think Bush1 promised no NATO expansion when the Soviet Union dissolved and that led to Yeltsin appointing Putin because he felt double crossed. I hope for the best as do you. Those greatly more informed than I disagree on strategy.

Hi Johnny, your videos are inspiring. I love that to travel to places I know nothing about, it really makes the world feel smaller. I hope to one day travel like you!
where did you stay in montenegro this summer i am going to spend my summer in montenegro in a place called Dobra Voda.
@8:30 nice bells
loved Kotor and Budva, i was there 4 years ago. Its not major touristy and way cheaper than Croatia! It will be found eventually! The old city of Kotor is amazing.
Wonderful place, Montenegro!
Thank you also for calling the absurdness of russian propaganda and the russian fascist aggression. Indeed, no one murdered more russian-speakers than russia.
#StandWithUkraine #StopRussianAggression #rashism
Help the dogs in the future, you will have goals!
Thank you so much for supporting Ukraine!
Johnny; you’ll be back to Balkan’s very soon again I’m sure; Balkan’s hospitality is the top notch always; we always glad and looking forward to your next voyager; from Bosnians that live in US 🇧🇦🇺🇸🇺🇦
They kept catholic churches (buildings) and expelled Croats that lived there for centuries. They have bombarded Dubrovnik (1991-1995 war) and saying they will build a newer and better one.
Nice people indeed.
it looks amazing!!
Damn it Johnny now I'm hungry again. lol. Cheers
You're welcome!
Another interesting video. The food looks great and good value, makes me want to visit.
There is some crazy video of American Foreign legion fighters with Ukraine army in Severodonetsk. The Baltics seem beautiful.
the Baltics may well be beautiful, but Montenegro ain't Baltic!!!
@@chestermosburger3113 balkans
you should visit Novi Pazar in Serbia, its an really nice city. i go there almost every year. food is great , very kind people it also has a lot of history. ottomans (Turks) used to live there for a long time. thats why when you go there you see alot of stuff from turkey. if you go there try out their Cevape they are considered one of the best. and also mantije!
I won't visit Serbia as long as their government supports the Ukrainian genocide by Russia.
@@JohnnyFD Where do you plan to go?
@@JohnnyFD you have really no idea what you are talking about, just like the rest of your balkan videos unfortunately. I used to really like your content but it has been very lame and uninformed since your balkan visit
@@rema1944 besides all the refugees from ukrain that are currently in Serbia
@@JohnnyFD Wow.. But it seems that you have no issues visiting the U.S? A country that genocided Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Serbia, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, and many more? I was 11 years old when the U.S and NATO bombed my city and most of the casualties were civilians. 2500 civilians. Serbia is the first country in Europe in terms of mortality from malignant tumors as a consequence of the NATO bombing, during which 15 tons of depleted uranium wasdumped on Serbia. You hypocrite.
@Bs Ds I am talking about the Bay of Kotor, you...?
Guys history of Montenegro doesnt start from 1918 all dynasties some of them 1000's of years old are serbian the first rulers of montenegro was serbian STEFAN NEMANJA circa 1166-1196 and you morons talk about ottoman empire!
Good thing you stumbled upon someone awake there
Raining in the summer. You Do you know that rain occurs more in the summer than fall, winter and spring?
My dude just keeps on giving with these awesome videos, cheers from Israel Johnny🇮🇱💪🏻
Keep it real bro Stay safe 💪✌️😎
I always wait for your videos Johnny! Best traveling blogger 🙌🙏✌️
Glad you like them!
Budva great place, you have to try niksicko also great beaches to the east of the old town, also a hidden beach to the east, was there just before the war, so been many years since I was there.
also look out for the Budva Ballerina Statue (I love my art). I wanted to meet Tajci (former Yugoslavian singer)but she wasn't around.
Tajci is croatian from croatia, it has nothing to do with montenegro
@@oskng I know but when I went, it was Yugoslavia and she was supposed to be there on tour because of her Eurovision entry, I was told this by the tour company..

Its onions and pepper that makes that unique flavor of burek ... Where is bald guy?
28:55 Making an utter mess of the sidewalk 😂😂
hahah oops. I was hoping the dog would eat it up. 😂
Marathoning ur channel gonna take me a year
Enjoy the journey!
I was going to say Montenegro is smaller country and has less going on but then you end up at a huge concert lol. It definitely doesn't get so many western Europeans visiting, it's often overlooked, people usually visit Croatia when they come to this part of Europe. You do get Eastern Europeans visiting tho
and as always Slava Ukraini!
Went there last year, the Chinese restaurant in the video is amazing 😄
Hi Johnny! I'm enjoying your adventures thru the Balkans. I'm adding the Balkans to my must visit list! THANK YOU for taking the time and giving that little dog some food...❤ You're a real good guy!
Thanks for the comment Elle!
I only went to Kotor and Budva. Kotor was so fun
I'm glad you are having a good time in Yugoslav republics (I wish Mr. Bald is with you)
Visit us in Serbia sometimes. I think you would love our cuisine. 😀
Hi is not welcome in Serbia because hi said Serbia genocide country.
In the last segment in which you talked about Ukraine, you hit the nail right on the head.
I HAD LITERALLY 0 Idea that the former yugoslavia was so god damn beautiful
Me neither to be honest.
Only problem is the former jugoslavia was never really a country, just a regime that ruled over many countries that were forced into it
@@powderskier5547 No one were forced into anything Tito the croat threw the germans and italians out and promised the peoples of ex Yugoslavia safety and prosperity which they did get and thats why everyone followed him i have no idea were you people learn history from i have read and heared so much bs here its sickening!
@@SrpskoSarajevo So everybody was happy in former Yugoslavia. Probably this is why, after Tito's death, everybody wanted out, starting with Slovenia, then Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, etc.
Yugoslavia was forced upon more developed countries (listed above) by the least developed one (Serbia) but most aggressive.
@@mariuspopescu284 If you have media you can create in few months whenever outcome you want ,especialy when there was no internet then ,also question was kind off very confusing ..this was referendum question in Croatia in 1991:
"Jeste li za to da Republika Hrvatska, kao suverena i samostalna država, koja jamči kulturnu autonomiju i sva građanska prava Srbima i pripadnicima drugih nacionalnosti u Hrvatskoj, može stupiti u savez suverenih država s drugim republikama (prema prijedlogu Republike Hrvatske i Republike Slovenije za rješenje državne krize SFRJ). "
So it says are you for Croatia that will form aliense with other republic off Yugoslavia based on proposal from Slovenia and Croatia .
So people even who sad Yes were thinking they saying YEs for "better Yugoslavia"
I was there a few years back..Met a gal in Odessa dated a while then we went on vacation??? Great vacation just my Ukraine lady was not so nice. she was an opportunist.
Thats exactly what happened to me in 2020! Met a gal in Odessa, wanted to take them to Montenegro with here friend. We had a time Montenegro, prices were reasonable . It's just when we got back to Odessa restaurants were trying to rip me off because they saw an American guy with two Ukrainian women.
Nice. I was there a couple of weeks ago. Budva is awesome.
Hi Johnny, great place! 🇺🇦💙💛
I have 10 days in Kotor and Podgorica this Summer with a car hire. Looking foward to it!
Seems very creepy to go up to someone at random to take a picture of a little girl.
If you think something perverse, that's a problem within you.
Podgorica is the capital of Montenegro period.
I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you.
Thanks for what you do.
you dont understand what youre talking about just like johnny
@@Geo-nw9ug I'm very open to hear all sides. What I mostly talked about was my limited exposure through artists and UA-camrs. Checked your channel for opinions but only saw gaming content.
nice comment
A week in 15 min. Segment .... Johnny must have been partying......lol
Dude, your comment on no tours available being because there is no history or not many tourists... They just don't give a crap to offer any because the type of tourists that go there do it to enjoy themselves. It's a different world.
Hi Johnny, love your very spontaneous videos. You use phones to record the videos?
Shengen zone ia a much different thing than EU , for example Bulgaria and Romania are not in the schengen , norway is not the meember of eu but they are in the shcengen zone
