Absolutely inspiring, Never served in the military, I'm a former LEO and a Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 most dont know that Puerto Ricans have spilled blood for the US in all US major conflicts and that is why we are granted naturalized citizenship. I have the American flag that was in the office of Fedayeen HQ in Najaf, my platoon took it during the invasion. We were clearing the rooms and one of them had an American flag with gold fringe, a desk and camera equipment. I snatched the flag off the pole and put it in my assault pack. My first reaction when I saw it was WTF and it still is.

I received my pocket flag yesterday with my order. I folded it up and have it on my EDC pack. My family has a history of defending that flag and what it stands. From an artillery position during the Spanish American War where he stood and died. All the way to Vietnam where my grandfather was a mechanic for the SR71 Blackbird and the Gulf where my own father served. That flag also stood for something in my own heart and even though there are dark days in this country. I intend to carry my pocket flag through all my journeys in life so that one day my future children will find it and ask, "dad, why do you have this ragged ol' flag?"

I am concerned for our nation for one reason....we've strayed from our founding principle in the belief of God, and keeping Him in everything we do. All people are naturally born evil and with an evil spirit. Evil is our nature, and it's easy to prove, did you ever have to teach a child to lie, or did lying come NATURALLY? Did you ever have to teach a child to misbehave, or did that come NATURALLY? Did you ever have to teach a child to be selfish and self-centered, or did that come NATURALLY? Like a dog, you can train it, paint its toenails, put ribbons in its hair, and call it your child, but at the end of the day it's still a dog and has a dog nature. He will lift his leg and piss on everything to mark his territory and stick his nose up your fourth point of contact, because that's his nature, and what drives him to do those things. Our spirit influences our minds, and this is why we need to be born again, and that evil spirit replaced with Jesus, and then it's renewing our minds and being influenced by the Spirit of Christ. Yes, as we get older, we are taught to not do certain things, but it's out of fear of consequences, not because we want to do right. If people can get away with say....breaking windows and looting stores, and burning down their city, they'll do it because their true nature will always come out when there's no restraint holding them back. Evil is always opposite of what God says, and just look....now they're saying a boy can be a girl and a girl can be a boy, and people BELIEVE this nonsense. The bible says the closer we get to the end of days, we will start to see things like this, where right will be wrong and wrong will be right, bitter will be sweet and sweet will be bitter. Sadly, this country really no longer values God or being born again, and now we have leaders who are still influenced by their same spirit they had as a child, but now they see they can do anything they want and break laws and there's no consequences for their actions, so with no restraint, evil runs wild, and look at some of the things our "LEADERS" say and do. Everyone is hacking at the branches of this problem, when we should be hacking at the root of the problem. There's a reason our founding fathers said we are one nation under God. Almost everything our founding fathers did, they checked with the bible first to see if it was biblical or not. Here's something most people do not know, even the Pardon was based on biblical standing. The President or state Governor can NOT force a pardon on you. You hear them say....the person "RECEIVED" a pardon. If the inmate does not RECEIVE it, or turns it down, it can NOT be forced on them, and thus their sentence must be carried out. This comes from the bible, God offers us a pardon in His Son Jesus, BUT we have to RECEIVE it, and if we do not receive that pardon or in other words accept Christ as our Savior, then God being a just God says the sentence must be carried out even though He does not want that for us, the sentence is hell. God never sends anyone to hell, they send themselves. You can't earn salvation, you just receive it, and our founding fathers said the same thing, you can't earn a pardon, but you have to receive it. They understood if God can NOT force you to accept something, then neither can the government force you to accept something, and at the end of the day, the PEOPLE decide for themselves. Before a doctor can heal you, he has to know what's wrong, and the same holds true for our nation, before we can fix it, we have to be honest about what's wrong with it, and what's the difference between now, and when we were founded....what has changed, and where are our hearts as Americans. Just look how far and fast God brought our nation from newly formed, to where we are today as a superpower. For 1,000's of years the world moved at the speed of a horse, and within 200 years this nation goes from riding a horse in the wild west, to riding a dune buggy on the moon. No other nation has been blessed like this nation, and our founding fathers understood this, but we have lost what they knew, and now we're starting to see the fallout from our straying ways....and it will get MUCH worse if we don't all speak the TRUTH and confront this evil. We no longer call on the name of the Lord, and no maybe we don't call on the devil either, but the Amish, they have a saying...You don't need to call the devil, he will come without calling. There's a reason we say...There's a stairway to Heaven and a highway to hell.....it says an awful lot about anticipated traffic flow. John Qunicy Adams said....Duty is ours, results are God's. I'm sorry for the long reply, but fixing a problem is rarely summed up in a few words, and even now this doesn't scratch the surface of the problem we face as a nation and world. Chrissy Houlihan’s NDAA amendment on selective service that passed is very concerning given the state of the world and I just can’t get behind it anymore.

I was born in another country, came to the United States as a little boy, grew up in the Massachusetts, didn’t know the language, assimilated the best I could, took many field trips to revolutionary war sites, learned about the founding of this great nation in school, played little league where they played that worn out cassette of the National Anthem at the start of every game, joined the Cub Scouts and then the Boy Scouts, planted hundreds of flags at the graves of veterans MA national cemetery on Memorial Day and learned about the Flag and sacrifice, I lived in a neighborhood where many WWII veterans lived and sometimes shared their stories and learned about sacrifice, at one of my first jobs at 14 I worked with a Marine who earned a navy cross on Iwo Jima for which he bore the scars, I joined the Air Force and deployed several times, proudly became a citizen, joined the Army right after and during the first gulf war deployed to UAE, was never directly shot at but was close enough to see the billowing smoke of distant fires, joined the Army reserves after and served 14 years in total, those were the best years ever. Although my roots formed elsewhere, my heart and soul are American through and through, I love this Flag, I love this country, I tear up every time I hear the National Anthem, I beam with pride when I see the Flag, and I mourn when I see our Flag draped over coffins. I am not proud of what unworthy politicians have done to my country and how they’ve stained the honor of those who fell to defend this once great nation; selling us out to the highest bidder and sending our boys out to fight and die for a senseless war with no reason, purpose, or endgame. To these politicians, the Flag is a costume they pull out of the closet every time an election rolls around. I love this/my country, there will never be another one like it, so don’t let it fall, and don’t let our beautiful Flag touch the ground, too much blood has been shed and that is a debt that we could never repay.
It happened and it will happen again. That's the human nature to stand and fight for what we think good is. Defend the good against the evil. Would change the past decisions if possible ? Oh yeah.. that ragged little flag is us, individuals and we must stand against the winds ... may our Lord accept it as it is his first rule: you won't steal, and you may defend yourself against robbery of any sort ! I was born in another country, came to the United States as a little boy, grew up in the Massachusetts, didn’t know the language, assimilated the best I could, took many field trips to revolutionary war sites, learned about the founding of this great nation in school, played little league where they played that worn out cassette of the National Anthem at the start of every game, joined the Cub Scouts and then the Boy Scouts, planted hundreds of flags at the graves of veterans MA national cemetery on Memorial Day and learned about the Flag and sacrifice, I lived in a neighborhood where many WWII veterans lived and sometimes shared their stories and learned about sacrifice, at one of my first jobs at 14 I worked with a Marine who earned a navy cross on Iwo Jima for which he bore the scars, I joined the Air Force and deployed several times, proudly became a citizen, joined the Army right after and during the first gulf war deployed to UAE, was never directly shot at but was close enough to see the billowing smoke of distant fires, joined the Army reserves after and served 14 years in total, those were the best years ever. Although my roots formed elsewhere, my heart and soul are American through and through, I love this Flag, I love this country, I tear up every time I hear the National Anthem, I beam with pride when I see the Flag, and I mourn when I see our Flag draped over coffins. I am not proud of what unworthy politicians have done to my country and how they’ve stained the honor of those who fell to defend this once great nation; selling us out to the highest bidder and sending our boys out to fight and die for a senseless war with no reason, purpose, or endgame. To these politicians, the Flag is a costume they pull out of the closet every time an election rolls around. I love this/my country, there will never be another one like it, so don’t let it fall, and don’t let our beautiful Flag touch the ground, too much blood has been shed and that is a debt that we could never repay.
It happened and it will happen again. That's the human nature to stand and fight for what we think good is. Defend the good against the evil. Would change the past decisions if possible ? Oh yeah.. that ragged little flag is us, individuals and we must stand against the winds ... may our Lord accept it as it is his first rule: you won't steal, and you may defend yourself against robbery of any sort ! Meanwhile I wish all the peace !
Best country the planet has ever seen. I am thankful every day that I was born a citizen of this great republic and love the flag for which it stands. I wish more people (especially our representatives) felt that way and showed it through action.
