Here's a video I made on how to replace the touch screen panel on 2014 toyota corolla entune radio. It's a lengthy video so I break it into 5 parts as below :
Part 1 : Introduction 0.00.00
Part 2 : Removing dash panel 0.00.57
Part 3 : Removing radio unit from dash 0.02.29
Part 4 : Replacing touch screen on radio 0.03.05
Part 5 : Reinstalling radio to dash 0.12.02 - Авто та транспорт
worked perfect on my 2014 camry. thanks for making the video and offering the part for sale at a reasonable price!
thank you for the compliments!

Few notes from my successful repair using this video.
1. 10MM socket for the bolts
2. Need to push the metal tabs in to separate screen from main box. Then push them out again once you have completed the replacement and are ready to reassemble.
3. Not all the ribbon locks/braces open the same way. Some swing up and some slide out. If pulling up isn't working then slide.
4. Always good idea to take photos of how it looked before disassembly.
Overall it is a quick and easy fix. Worked like a charm. Thank you for the video and parts. Cheers
Some notes from my experience:
- Make sure when installing the digitizer, that the pins on the ribbon are facing DOWN towards the circuit board. The digitizer I received had a ribbon with bends in it similar to the existing one, but the bends were oriented in the opposite direction, causing me to install the digitizer backwards initially.
- Be careful not to get fingerprints on the inside of the digitzer screen, or to wipe them off before installing!
Installation went smoothly other than the above issues. Thank you for the great video!
I almost did the same for the exact same reasons! Also make sure you keep the little rubber piece that acts like a spacer from the touch pad to the screen.
Performed the swap today on my 2015 Corolla S. You need a 10mm socket wrench to remove the bolts. Most difficult part was loosening the tabs all around the unit to remove the face. The four small screws around the display circuit board are very tight and I stripped them somewhat getting them out and back in. Otherwise this was very simple and took less than 45 minutes. I was surprised by how easy the dashboard snapped back on... I contemplated this fix for over a year and now I wish I did it sooner. Thank you so much for making this available!
Ordered the $18 replacement screen from Amazon. It came in and I tried this. Yes! Success! Took me about 30 minutes to get it done. Thank you very much for uploading this vid.
Excellent video. I just replaced the digitizer on my 2014 Camry using your video as a guide. I had the same dead zone on the screen bottom. It started out on the left and finally nothing on the bottom row worked. Fixed good as new. Thanks again.
Here in 2024. Product link no longer works, but I bought the part a few months back. 100% Successful install! Thank you and make sure you read the other comments for some pro tips
I just fixed mine on my 2015 Corolla and it now works flawlessly! Thanks to YOU! Thank you SO much for taking the time to share this information!
I just used your video to fix my stereo. Worked perfect!! Thank you for the upload and sharing. Saved me some money brotha.
Your breakdown was more than enough for me to do it myself. $20 on Amazon for the part and 30 minutes to do it. Size 0 and 00 screwdrivers helped avoid stripped screws.
EXCELLENT VIDEO! I found the replacement screen on Amazon for $18. Just replaced this on my daughter's Corolla tonight and it's once again working like new!
Thank you!
I did the screen swap today. Took me 1 hr just because I didn't have the right screwdriver size and when reinstalling everything, I didn't tighten the 4x screws for the screen tight enough so I had to remove from call and redo. Very happy now that the touch screen is functioning
This worked on my 2016 Corolla S and only took about 45 minutes! I and my bank account thank you sir!
Did your volume button work when you had an issue with touch screen? I am driving 2016 Corolla S and having the similar issue. The up/down buttons on steering wheel are also not working. Just wonder if I replace the touch screen and all issues are gone.
@@dlbtrung my volume buttons we’re working the whole time. I only had the issue with the touch

I just got a new phone and needed to hit the “add” button to Bluetooth, bottom left side and couldn’t(hasn’t worked since like year 2). I called Toyota and they said it would be $4,000 to fix. I LOLED. I am so glad I found this video last night. Ordering the part today. Really hope this works or else I’m getting a new car lol
Thank you. one of our local Toyota service gave me an quote of 1200$. They planing to replace the whole radio system.....
Now I just need spend 20$ on Amazon and few hours of my spared time.
Did this today, got the part off of Amazon $25. When I first put it back in it didn’t turn on at all. Took it back apart, stripped one of the screws, but I didn’t put one ribbon back in correctly. Put it back in and worked perfectly! No more dead bottom half!
This is a great video, thank you very much - helped me repair my touchscreen! However, you skipped over a couple of the most difficult/confusing parts - putting it back together!
Some things to watch out for when re-installing the screen:
The screen I ordered had glue on one side, and the black piece that goes around the edges doesn't exactly align. Also, after removing it from the original screen (which did not seem to have glue, for some reason) the black foam piece separated right away before I could note the exact way it was attached, and it was hard to remember which way the black piece went back on, as the 12-pin cable is not exactly in the center and for some reason the black thing has protrusions that overlap the edge of the screen. So I wasn't exactly sure how to line it up or which side of the screen was supposed to face front (the first time, I installed it backwards based on the way the cable was naturally bent, which for some reason was bent in the opposite direction of the original screen).
Luckily I realized before re-assembling the whole thing, based on the fact that the 12-pin ribbon cable is just slightly off center (a little to the left) so by putting the wrong side forward, the ribbon cable was slightly askew to the place where it plugged in on the circuit board. I then had to pop out the screen from the plastic frame and reverse it, then the cable lined up better, so I assumed that was the side that should face "out". But I did spend an extra 20 minutes or removing/reversing it based on the pin layouts and cable placements, carefully studying the screen and cable up close, trying to determine which was the right way to insert it into the plastic frame.
I also ended up getting the black foam a little crooked, and once it was affixed it couldn't be removed to be straightened (I would have had to buy another screen), but it worked anyway and didn't appear to be visible once installed. I don't know what that black foam piece does, but I assume it's important.... Would be helpful to see the right way to exactly line it up and affix it to the screen...and know what all the little cutouts are supposed to line up with.
Lastly, watch out as the screen scratches very easily - just holding up the old screen to compare, somehow I managed to put a small scratch in it with the corner of the other screen. Seems very sensitive to scratches so be extra careful!
Thanks for all the tips! Can’t wait til mine comes in
@Ken Shvetz thank you for your advice! I installed the screen, started putting it back together and the ribbon that actually hooks up the touch screen didn't want to go in all the way.. then I noticed it wasn't perfectly lined up and I thought I had read something about that in the comments. Came back, read your comment, pulled the screen, flipped it, and reinstalled it. Probably wasted like 10 minutes, instead of 40 lol. Thank you!
@@ArsonistArborist NP, glad I could help! 🤓

Great video solved all my problems with a $25 screen from amazon. One tip is your gonna need the smaller screwdriver set to get the screws when you get to the actual radio itself. starting with the 3 in the bottom. the screen clips can be annoying but they will come off. THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO SAVED ME SOO MUCH $$$$ I DONT HAVE.
This works, I can’t believe it. It save me a lot of money.
Man that's great tutorial. Do more video, you explaining really cool
I followed the video, except my radio has the satellite radio module mounted under it. It turns out that I don’t have a small access port on the bottom of my radio. So I popped the front off and just manipulated the radio with the main cable still attached. $17 for the digitizer and now my radio works like when it was new. Thanks.
I have been searching for a fix for this for nearly 2 years and everything I saw said replace the entire screen. I'm ordering the digitizer now and will update if this fix works!!
Best of luck! The ribbon connectors are flimsy. Just be careful when disconnecting and reconnecting them.
@@herrenmann I will be VERY careful with the ribbons! Currently waiting for my new digitizer to arrive!
@JervisTan - Thanks for posting this video. I just fixed the touch screen in my daughter's 2015 Corolla S following your instructions. The only thing I might add is to double check all the ribbon connections while you are reassembling the radio, just to make sure the ribbons are seated securely. Check everything twice, install once. Or something like that. Anyway, you have done the Toyota community a great service by posting this detailed video. Cheers
Thank you so much for doing this step by step. I will be doing this tomorrow!!!
thanks just saved $300!
My thoughts about this before this video was "it can't be any harder than a ds screen" and this basically confirms that!
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH … followed your video and you saved me a couple 100’s
What an awesome video. I will be buying a new touch screen to fix mine. Thank you for the detailed description!!
Thanks for the video bud. Just did my wife’s 2015 Corolla. Went perfectly.
Awesome tutorial, super easy fix. Saved me hundreds. Be careful releasing ribbons, they don't pull out, you need to release them.
Don’t like doing work on small electronics but it saves me hundreds. Will be doing it maybe this weekend
Thanks for the how-to. Worked perfectly for my daughters Corolla. 👍👍👍
OK, so the digitizer arrived yesterday and I decided to install it last night. Your video allowed me to complete the job in about 40 minutes, thank you! So, one piece of advice to anyone attempting this repair....two of the ribbon cables have notches on either edge that must fit up and over the pin pad before the latching bail is closed. My head unit didn't work the first time I plugged it in and found the cause to be one ribbon cable not seated. Apart from that, extremely easy. If I had to do one again, it would take 15 minutes. BTW, the screen that I received off your link was excellent.
im glad it worked for you! thank you for the comment and business!
I just completed the repair with your part and instructions and it worked like a charm. Thanks so much!
you just saved me $100-$200 thank you sooooo much!!!
Extremely useful and super clear instructions. Thank you!
Thank you having the same problem with my 2014 Camry
Thank you very much. Your video helps me a lot, even it wasn't the same radio model I can be able to successfully change the screen. It works perfectly now.
Julio Cotrina thank you!
Hey, thanks for the screen! I fixed my screen and saved 1k from the dealership. Thanks for the reminder about the ribbons. I’m not very handy but managed to fix it within 2 hours :)
thank you very much!
What about tape around the edges of the touch screen to hold it in place? I wasn’t looking forward to spending a lot of money on a new head unit
Heyy I was wondering where you bought the part from? The actual Radiohead?
Nida Naqvi I bought my screen part for the head unit off of eBay for $22.00. Type Touch Screen Glass Digitizer Corolla Camry RAV4 on eBay search. The model of the head unit is a Fujitsu Ten.
@@brycefujimoto8023 I just followed every step he mentioned in the video. I did not remember I need to tape anything.
thank you so much. works great on my camry 2014. in other instructions for some reason they glue a new glass🤷♂️ thank you from Ukraine)))
Super helpful. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Great video. On my 2014 Corolla LE equipped with gps navigation and XM radio, things were a bit different.
On it, there is a module (xm/gps module?) mounted to the bottom of the radio that has three short jumper cables from itself to the main radio body. If you remove it, you will discover the access cover for the front panel connection does not exist. So, don’t bother removing it and read on. You can leave the jumper cables in place as well. This radio’s marked with Toyota PN 86100-02100.
To remove the front panel assembly, find 4 small phillips screws in a row along the panel bottom. Remove them. At that point, the front panel assembly is held on by just the black plastic latches. Starting at one end, lift them up while pushing the panel forward until you release the panel.
As you free the panel you will find a short flat cable that connects from the panel assembly to a connector in the main radio chassis. Flip up the latch on the main radio connector to free the cable.
Now, the front panel repair is same as in the video. My panel off eBay seller tom_autoparts is working perfectly.
Nice video! I’m going to try this on a used car I just bought. Glad there is an easy fix
This was very helpfull, i just change the digitizer on my toyota corolla 2015 and this video help me a lot

Great video man, saved my mother quite a few bucks
God bless you for jump cutting past the bolt removal. Liked!
This video is awesome. I have same problem. Thanks for your video. I am going to try
The bottom left screen just went on my 2014 Corolla... and I watched your video..... you make it look easy... but I too scared to ruin it. Where can I get the part, and do you think most garages (NON Toyota) could replace it?
Ordered my screen today! HOpefully I can repair it myself!! (Scared)
dont worry. its not hard to fix.
it was easy just be easy with the ribbons
Great video
Does anyone has a link to purchase a touch screen
Big shout out to this guy 👏 thanks for the help!!!
thanks for making the video
Thanks man for your video,it was very helpful it helped me on my corolla 2015..
I just change a new screen work great. Thanks
Fantastic job and video
Can you please post a video on how to solve the Bluetooth problem. I cant hair the incoming calls nor can they hear me. That would be fantastic 😀. Thanks for the clear instructions
Thank you for the comment. Unfortunately I’m not familiar with the Bluetooth problem. If I come across any video related to it. I’ll share it here.
Thank you for time
Genius.... Ok. Something that should be noted about the ribbons. The don't all have the same type of release. I wish I would've known or figure that out before trying to flip up ones that aren't supposed to be flipped up.
worked perfect saved me so much money!!! thanks a bunch!
I think it would be helpful to show how to release the ribbon around 7:30. It goes off camera and it was the only one i had trouble with.
Very helpful video, what's the part number for 2016 Toyota Corolla?
Great video. Saved me tons of money.
My replacement touch screen had the ribbon cable oriented differently from the original. For anyone doing this job check that the connection on your ribbon cable is facing down. The top will be solid. Hope this helps someone
This has been very helpful, thank you so much for the tutorial!
I have a blue tooth module not connected after I changed the digitizer how to I clear that in a Corolla 2015 ? PLEASE HELP
Well its more than a year later, is the screen you replaced working ok still? I would love to replace mine but i dont want to spend money only to have the new screen go bad. Thank you for the video as it will be very helpful to those of us needing to fix the problem.
Mine is still good so far. :)
Good explain.
good step by step instructions.... however, if my 2014 Corolla touchscreen is constantly rebooting would a screen replacement fix it?
If not what is the fix for the constant rebooting of my touchscreen radio?
i have not come across this constant rebooting problem before so i really cant say if replacing the touchscreen would help.
a constant rebooting could mean a hardware failure or a corrupted software that is hindering the radio to startup. i would suggest to start the troubleshooting with software and then move to hardware.
Jervis Tan ..... I took apart the touchscreen radio today this morning looking for any evidence of a burnt transistor, IC chip or capacitor. Measured the each capacity with my ESR meter and everything checked out ok.
I believe you maybe correct in the “corrupt software” issue creating the reboot issue.
There is a slot for a Micro Sd card, which is the map card that also maybe causing the reboot issue. Some people with the reboot issue have ordered a newly updated Micro Sd map card from EBay or Amazon and they claim this fixed the reboot issue.
Hey man, thanks. good video and explanation. question roughly how much did you pay for the new one?
It’s on the eBay link in video description. Thanks!
Great video.
When I was removing the ribbons that attach to the circuit board I had two of the black things that look like they secure the ribbons pop off. I tried to still connect the ribbons to the board by placing them in the slots, but now the stereo won’t power on at all when I plug it into my car. Any suggestions?
Hey, I just wanted to know if you ever figured this out. I've got the same issue where nothing powers on, but the backup camera is still working for me.
@@Backslasherton I too have the same problem.. if you have any solution please advise
@@Backslasherton I didn’t ever figure it out. I wound up buying an entirely new stereo/touchscreen to install. I asked around on Reddit and apparently if parts on the circuit board that hold some of those ribbons in place are damaged it’s hard to repair yourself. Rather than going through the effort to find somebody to repair the spots I had damaged I just got a new one.
@@syde0004 Appreciate the response. Sounds like I'm gonna have to get a whole new unit.
Very helpful thank you
GOOD JOB................THANK YOU
Thank you great video
Tengo un corolla S ' 2014 y me fslla el touch , alguien sabe donde puedo conseguir la pantalla ( el touch ) para remplazar
Thank you for the tutorial 👌🏼
Very helpful, thanks!
Very helpful video. Where did you find and purchase the replacement touch screen? Thank you
Hello Sir, Thanks for this solution
i want to ask , i have corolla 2013 - 2014 and sometimes when i drive the radio do restart by itself , is that problem related to the broken touch screen that i have ?
Thanks bro
Worked for me! Thanks!
Thank you!
It worked!! Thank you :)
I noticed that the part says it will not work for navigation. Do you have a touch screen for the 86100-02101 radio with the screen plate No. 100150 ?
Hi. It is for Toyota radio with nameplate 100150
I did this fix about a week ago. Bad news is I have no display backlight at all, just a black screen. Good news is the digitizer works as I can hear the beeps. I double checked the ribbons and the all seem seated. Anyone know what the issue might be? No rear camera atm =(
Did you ever figure it out? Having a similar issue
Anyone know where to find replacement screws for the four holding the screen in? Like others, mine are mostly stripped now.
Good job 👍
Thank you very much 😊 🙏
edit: I have a problem with my radio, The screen does not turn on and there is no audio but my backup camera works, do you know what this could be?
Hey man Thank you for the video it was great! but I need help, The thinner Ribbon cable to the left of the big ribbon cable the blue plastic part fell off on the end that connects to the screen, Do I need this? and if so how do I make it stick.
the blue plastic is for convenience of pulling the ribbon out from the connector. should be fine without it as long as the actual ribbon is not damanged.
I have the same problem what did you end up doing
David Henderson O ended up buying a new one off ebay for $120 i bought the newer model I think its model number 153 do your research because theres 2/3 different models they all work but I opted to get a newer one since im replacing it.
KING VURORA okay thank u I may end up replacing the the whole thing with a whole newer radio
My Corolla 2016 runs into the similar problem today, but not only the touch is not working but also the volume button as well. Is it also related to the touch screen panel or do I need to replace other part?
Thank you.
What is those black strips with the blue ends called I think it's the power wire mines damage can it be repaired 4:32
It’s always better to replace it.

Bom trabalho. Parabéns
would that display happen to work for a radio on a 2015 Toyota Camry SE?
Sorry but Camry SE screen is slightly larger.
