Isn't air resistance also causing acceleration on the projectile? It has X and Y components.
yes, you would ignore friction
when breaking down velocity into x and y components, shouldnt there be cos and sin there?
since there was no angle given you cant do it with sin and cos, the other way to do it is with similar triangles (how he did it). If there was a theta given you would use sin and cos

Why is the accerelation negative
Because gravity pulls down; not up.
at the end he's like: "let's work one that's a little bit harder"... I'm like: "Nooooooooooo!!!!!!...... ok...."
The thing is, I understand this example so easily but the homework is not like this.

You're right
The last problem I believe you forgot the second term of the distance equation (1/2*at^2). The answer should be 448.57m the value in the video is almost a mile and a half.
