    A melodic and joyful tune
    For me, this should be people’s starting point when learning a guitar.

    Mozart was 22 when Sor was born in Spain.
    Sor was a success in London for his Ballets.
    Fun Facts.

    What a wonderful rendition of the old favourite! I love her interpretation. She brings a brightness to the piece, without detracting from it's relaxing and playful undertones.
    Off I go back to my score to try and master this work. It's a good practice piece, to limber up the fingers and put one in a good mood for learning!

    I know this work very well. I studied it and used to play it rather acceptably during my guitar-playing epoch in my youth. Later on I switched-on to to the piano and didn't play the guitar again for more than 50 years.

    No sé si las variaciones fueron basadas del todo en la flauta mágica, pues la melodía es muy similar a una pequeña canción de piano: "Away with melancholy" de Mozart.

    • @RodrigoMunozCarrasco

      tienes razon es muy parecida, seguramente Mozart como muchos compositores reuso su propia melodia y la cambio un poquito para su opera

    Thank you for posting the score; we can see that Mrs. Vidovic is far from giving us an impressive rendition. Reputed performers would not skip the first appoggiatura of the theme.

    • @michaeltroke7239
      @michaeltroke7239 5 років тому +2

      Yeah, well, maybe, but you're a bit tough on Ana Vidovic here: this is a superb performance, beautiful even tone colour throughout, excellent dynamics variation (not easy on a guitar) and, since she is one of the finest performers around, I obviously accord her the right to use her artistic judgement as to what would make the best performance, including zapping an appoggiatura ... come on ...

  • @alkssmith9762

    Why is she playing frequently, under-tempo?...or I may be wrong, but this usually sounds more lively, and technically no barre, so whats the problem,

    • @Thrashmetalkicksass
      @Thrashmetalkicksass 6 років тому

      Alks Smith I agree, too many parts where she slows down. The tempo here is plain and simple, no need to slow down or go faster, it's not written

    • @Pladderkasse
      @Pladderkasse 4 роки тому +1

      I think she was having an off day. The guitar is slightly out of tune and her tone is naily and brittle. She's usually better than this. In fact, I wouldn't believe it was her, if it wasn't stated in the description.

    • @michaeljaymurdock

      its hard to do it extremely fast. Im sure she doesnt have twelve hours a day to be one of the top performers. I thought she did nicely being a player myself for over 40 yrs there is a lot of places to make mistakes. As far as the nails go, I never seem to have all four nails right at the same time. Just when I think they're all great, one breaks. Plus I cant afford a 5000 dollar guitar
