These guitars are so much more than metal/shred machines. You can play anything on them and once you get used to the neck and the feel they make other guitars feel very difficult to play!!! Danish Pete is a gem.
I agree. Once I got my first Ibanez 15 years ago (one of the RG550 MIJ reissues), I haven’t been able to like any other electric guitar. The necks on Ibanez guitars are simply amazing. Nobody else even comes close!
I can't say thanks enough all you guys at Andertons for this fantastic Ibanez day , I was diagnosed with the new Strain of Covid which is in my stomach and I have a blood clot on my lung and a small tear and pneumonia too. Been so worried these past few days , but today has been the best so far as these videos have taken my focus else where and been more positive too. So yeah thanks guys you really dont know how much your helping me at the moment. Cheers.
Huge respect for Ibanez for coming up with endless RG ideas every single year, even during times like these. The guitar world would be a whole lot emptier without their drive, creativity, positive energy and artist relations. Josh Smith on it now too....hell yeah!
I have always loved Rg's and have played an ibenez bass for years. Its outlasted my rickenbackee ,Fender ,Dean and a bunch of off brands. They make solid instruments for a good price. Id love to get my hands on one of those bad boys
I quite like the sound of the blue one Pete was playing, the p'ups on the purple one were a little toppy for me. The Floyd is something I wouldn't use much but man I'd love one with an ABR-1 style setup!
My first ever decent guitar was an Ibanez RG550 MIJ, I fell in love with that guitar , I made so much Progress with it , it was so easy to play , lovely fast neck , solid tuning and intonation too. Then I bought my first ever Ibanez Jem , the one with the Blue Floral Pattern around 2 years ago . So yeah I'm a massive fan of Ibanez. It's the familiar feel of the body and switches , and the neck is amazing to me. So easy to play.
Working nightshift at the ER, and a really shitty shift so far! On my first coffee break after 9h work, and clicked on this video. Already the opening jam made me smile! Love it! 🤘🏻❤️
I bought the 5121 last year (blue version) when it came out and there weren't any real reviews on it.. Glad they made a burgundy version so i can enjoy a review finally!
Ibanez makes the best feeling necks in the business in my opinion. I’m a rhythm player but I have very large hands, and their big flat necks are the only ones I’ve found in an electric that I’m comfortable with. I also like that they offer a fair amount of fixed bridge guitars in their lineup. A lot of the other manufacturers don’t offer very many superstrats with a fixed bridge.
@@mce3210 Depends on what feels best in your hands. I’ve got very large hands, so l prefer guitars with larger necks; Ibanez and late 50s Gibson style “baseball bat” style necks are my favorite. Try a bunch of guitars and see what feels the best to you. Other than that, get a guitar with features you like and you’ll be good to go. There’s no set rules as to what constitutes a lead or rhythm guitar.
@@killswitch2538 Hey man, I still love it a lot after a year if playing. It’s still in heavy rotation. It’s pricey little bastard but it will probably outlive you and give you a life time of playing fun. Plus I find the cleans very nice on it too. The one thing I can say thats maybe a bit less positive it that the voicing switch feels like it can break if you are too aggressive with it. Other then that its a mighty fine guitar
I can't believe how different Raabea looks, since losing some weight,he's like a whole different cat,it's actually quite hard to get used to,but good on him,I bet he feels like a whole new man!!👊
Japanese minimalistic style, it's binded but not noticeable so only those who know about it can see it/appreciate it. This design approach occurs throughout Japanese crafted products.
the 5320C is the guitar! I could hear all the differences in sound / tone. The other one is differently a cool guitar, i but couldn't hear any difference between the configurations. That Blue one sounds great
.... of ALL of the Anderton's/Rabea/Danish Pete vids, that this is one of my favorites! it's fun, super entertaining, and the playing is phenomenal..... big fan of DP's tasteful inside/outside phrasing and 'Bea's shred @16:36 and DP's comic faces @8:39LOL BTW, that 5320DFM looks good on you Pete (know you favor tele's) Love ya LOTS!
That "green" one has such a crazy shine to it. It might as well be a mirror! I can see some of the green when it's under the right light and it looks sweet, but it definitely has a lot of blue in it too. Green-blue :p
Fucccc...omg hell☺️Them Boys can play☺️☺️☺️Beginning jam was just wow make my body move and putt smile on my face☺️👍thank you👍👍👍you are great players☺️🙂Both have they own style and you can tell they beautiful souls☺️.Wish you all the best👍
I don‘t know why i never looked at Ibanez before. Lately a start to discover it more. Nrver heard a Ibanez that sounded bad. Never heard someone complain about Ibanez guitar quality. The guitars look almost too neat. I like black guitars, but i don‘t like gold hardware it‘s too flashy. Often i find Ibanez online where i really like the specs but then there is something about color combination that is a tad too flashy. Iif i could only have one guitar for the rest of my life: RG8570Z-BRE j.custom or: RG5170B BK Perfection from Japan, i‘d always prefer that over sloppy usa built stuff. If i only knew earlier
Danish Pete's playing, and the tone of that guitar are some next level stuff. Gorgeous! Love Rebea's playing but didn't care for that burgundy guitar at all. The Black Prestige however was outstanding.
Just back from Andertons having been in to try the RG5121. Neck is sublime, guitar looks stunning, the Fishman Fluence pickups are amazing. Might be my favourite pickups ever! Fret ends finished beautifully. But, and a big but at that. I took a fret rocker and checked the fret levelling. 3 & 9th pretty high and then all over the place at the upper register. This is a £1600 Japanese made Prestige model. The fret work needs to be spot on at this price point. I would really like this guitar, but I'm only paying that money for a guitar with properly levelled frets. Ibanez, you must do better.
This video is awesome! Just one question: is it okay to play Jerry Garcia licks on my RGR652...- guitar? Thank you for showing the Ibanez Prestige models for doing more than djent metal noise.
Great playing and tone guys! Wheres Rob been? Did the Captain cut back on him after he couldnt make a loop with the Digitech Trio+ and killed its sales for him? Anyway cheerio and good day chaps!
Hello All, I wonder what your opinion is on the best built electric guitar, with regard to playability is. Price is always an issue but for this question, regardless of price, what do you feel is the very best platform?
ok so rabea's guitar sounds amazing w those moderns in it -- i just installed my moderns yesterday - literally my first installation ever - and ....something sounds off to me ....as in...not as beautiful as most other fishman moderns i hear ...Im 99.9% sure all my solder connections are solid, except the pos/neg from the bridge selector -- i didn't know which wire was bridge/neck -- so i just wrapped the wires around the middle lug on each volume pot - My question is - for anyone else in the comments w these - do they sound not as 'full' because i havent soldered the selector wires down yet(they are just wrapped around the pots for testing purposes) or is it because the 9v battery i used dying --- this is my first set of active/passive pups aswell - so...i guess my question there is - when the batt is dying...how obvious is it? is there any sound degradation?
While I love the aesthetics of the RG5121, soundwise it seems like its only usable for very high gain sound with these Pickups. Every Classic Rock/Crunch sound I heard from it so far was rather underwhelming.

That's why I have 4 RGs, I love them so much!
Is this still the best option in 2024? Also is this a good option for clean?

Jeeeeez, rabea’s playing is absolutely insane, didn’t realise he could play fusion like that
He is a man of many talents!
@@andertons man’s got chops!
He can play literally anything! He's fantastic.
I cannot tell, if there‘s at least one Genre he can‘t jam along to.
Don't even need to hear about the specs - I could just listen to Pete and Rebea jam continuously.
My two favorite players on the channel - what a tasty intro jam from both!

Biggest smile I ever ever gotten from an Anderton’s video- holy smokes, Pete’s got chops!

Yooooo best introjam ever. This was really great. Peter and Rabea really fed off each other in this. Great! More of this please.
Ibanez have clearly been getting inspiration from Suhrs Pete Thorn Signature model here. The colours almost match too!

The intro jams are insane in every single video. Stank face the entire time.
I sometimes wonder if Pete knows how to spell his name but damn that guy can play. These are the two guys who should be doing every Anderson’s demo.

Thanks for tuning in Carlos!
Hey Pete, hey Rabea.
Those are two great sounding guitars.
Rabea’s intro solo is bangin’ - great player!
Diggin' the Steely Dan style intro!
I'll take the black one, sweet.
I'd be happy with any of those, but if I had to choose one, it would be the one that Pete's playing, that just looks, and sounds the best!
I'm waiting with bated breath, hoping Pete will get his hands on the Josh Smith Flat-V T-Style iBanez Guitar. It's gonna be epic when he does.
