- My time with the Stoeger XM1 Bullpup, where I show my chrono results and target results, discussing which are the best pellets I have found with this budget bullpup.
If you like the videos and the channel, and if you’re happy to support further, then here’s a link to my Ko-Fi page. If you want you can buy me a coffee or put something towards pellets for the reviews. Anything is greatly appreciated and it means so much that you’ve donated. Thanks so much :)

Thank you for this excellent and thought provoking post. I have just purchased the Stoeger XM1 Bullpup in .22, along with 8 magazines. I am now going to have to go through each one and check that they’re not causing problems. I never would have considered the need for this without your review. So, thank you for that. Much appreciated.
Thank you sir for your kind words; they are very much appreciated :). Hope you get on well with the XM1 and please stay tuned to the channel :)
As others have said, this rifle is actually a Snowpeak P35 with a different stock (Artemis re branded to Snowpeak for those who don't know and all made in China). The Diana skyhawk is another version but with a wooden stock (if I'm correct no longer made). I have the Snowpeak one. Having tried many pellets through it with various success rates I thought I would try some slugs to see how they compared. Wow, I bought some 10grn ZAN slugs and was putting slug on slug at 30 yards, amazing. This rifle loves them (well, mine does at least). Get some and try them, I think you might be pleasantly surprised. Nice video. 👍
Sorry, should have said (SMK, Artemis, now Snowpeak) Mine is also a .177. The shroud also has a built-in silencer, aluminium cone baffles etc. I have taken all but two of those out and have put hair curlers with felt wrapped around them (as per a certain German air gun manufacturers well regarded moderator) and this has certainly been a improvement. The rifle is very easy to work on as well. The only minus for me is that the barrel end thread is not 1/2" UNF but you can buy a thread on mod off EBay for about £20. The ZAN slugs I get here in the UK from Airgun 101.
YOU GOT A NEW SUBB FOR BEEN HONEST "
Great run-down buddy, trip to my RFD is on the cards!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎
Thanks Alan. Please let me know how you get on with it once you get it
Having recently got mine, I've put 164 pellets down the barrel. And still have 50 bar left, before getting down to 100 bar. I'm getting 18mm groups, using Wasp No 1's, which are manufactured by H&N. I cleaned the barrel, and chrono'd the first 10 pellets down the barrel, first 5 came out at over 12ftp, before settling down to a average of 11.4 ftp
Got the snowpeak P35 and it is a good bullpup. This shall be as well. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for the comment. This is a great rifle for the cost and its feature packed indeed

Can you talk about distance
Great review, with lot's of details . The scope with sun shade on looks silly . But uther than that it's nice looking rifle . Cheers Si
Sorry you did explain in video about scope 🤔
Thanks Si. The large scope is getting swapped out for something more compact :)
It sounds like the “kinks” as you refer to was not the rifle but the magazine. This can happen to any brand, any rifle magazine. A magazine wound up too much, coming down hard on the succeeding pellet and deforming it. You can’t blame the rifle for that and the proof is in the pudding, as you proved, by single loading it. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for the comment; I’m pleased I was able to find the problem without further investigatuon.
well done mate. you cannot beat the scientific method ;o)
Cheers! Lol
Great review. There's probably no need for the sunshade on these scope either or maybe a shorter sunshade would be better. Is it possible to adjust the regulator to increase the power up to 11.5 ft'lb ?
I heard qys pellets are good on the snowpeak/Artemis rifles
Olá meu amigo,Essa carabina tem válvula reguladora?
Great video. It is a smart looker of a rifle. Have you tried cleaning the magazines and using Ballistol on them? Just a thought. I think I shall try the QYS brand, or at least peruse them a tad. Thank you from upstate NY, USA.
I never really understood How rotary mags Could really make a difference. Once the Pellet is in The breach what does the mag have to do with it.
My guess is the mag is deforming the pellet.
As you draw back the cocking lever, the next pellet in the mag advances to a hard stop under spring pressure. That is when the pellet skirt gets deformed. It tends to affect the first few pellets in the mag more than the rest due to less spring pressure as the magazine empties
Many big thanks for a great presentation, mate !
Did you not find both the cocking handle T-bar AND the scope rail a bit short ?
Is the air tank aluminium or titanium ?
BTW - People tend to compare this gun with the Snow Peak P 35, which is reported to have a titanium air tube.....
Thanks for the kind feedback. I found the coking handle ok but the scope rail could have been longer for sure. I think the air tank is aluminium; I just wish for a rifle of this quality the manufacturer fitted carbon bottles as standard.
What caliber is this and whats the fpe
what distance was the target ?
22.5 yards
I wonder what was causing the magazines to affect the difference in accuracy?
It is due to the spring pressure used to advance the next pellet against a hard stop in the magazine when you draw back the cocking lever. It can damage the pellet skirt with too much spring pressure. Always affects the first few pellets more than the rest due to reduced pressure from the spring as the mag empties.
Is it loud? Does anyone measured dB?
Whats the shot count?
You wanna get a 3d printed mag from JCE. You would have been better off with the veyron on it at a true 24x mag which is more than likely all that ZOS can do even though it’s a “40x”
Believe it or not the ZOS isn’t that bad. It’s definitely got a 40x mag and it does hold its zero. It was also the only 40x scope I had available that wasn’t on another rifle and I could quickly use for testing. But the Veyron is better suited to this this bullpup. As for the mag, I’ve had 3D printed mags before and I found them to be hit and miss.
@@zubysan JCE mags are good, the one I have anyway. A lot better than the standard Reximex magazines
Where can JCE be found please ? As I'm going to purchase one of these rifles .. TIA
I checked the JCE website and couldn’t find any magazines for the Stoeger XM1 Bullpup.
which scope should I get for this gun?? and which scope mount can be used? I just received my xm1 in them mail today.
I’d suggest a compact scope. I used this one for testing. Try a Vector Veryon 6-24 x44
It has the same dad as snowpeak p35 😂
Is that a grenade launcher on top 😅😅
😅😅😅
I thought it was a woman at first. Is it?
No it is not!
I thought what a nice young geezer. Enjoyed the review. It's a P35 in disguise but does feel different.. Should I buy one?
