I'm loving the new 262 Mark. Great content, and love seeing your Bryson-style rock-back-and-forth on that very last drive. Also, you're all of us when you say, "Okay, this is the last one" about 20 different times. Thanks for many great years of great content.
I loved the old Rogue and I didn’t think I would due to its elongated shape. I’ve been through a couple of different drivers, including the Taylor Made Stealth which I thought I would love but didn’t. I recently traded the TM for the new Rogue and I must say I’m really, really enjoying it. It’s super forgiving and I love the look of it. The sound is different and took me a minute to get used to but it preforms so nicely that I quickly came to enjoy it.
Really enjoyed that Mark - some really good comments and unbiased review - nearly got there! My favourite Callaway driver is the XR16 which is in my bag at the moment - solid, stable and great speed of the face - a fairway finder!
Hey RJ….XR16 is what started my new search. Hit my buddy’s XR at the end of last season and couldn’t believe how straight it was. I’ve been playing TM for years. Problem is it’s hard to find a nice one 2nd hand and $$, if you do. So, just picked up new rogue ST Max. The triple diamond looks a lot like the XR16…But, I’m scared of it😂😂😂. Looking for a fairway finder. We’ll find out Friday. Have a great season…🍺⛳️
I just picked up a Rogue ST Max to replace my G425 Max. Same performance with much better feel and sound. The deciding factor was the awful sound of the Ping.
Just want to say Mark, thank you testing all parts of the club face 👍🏼 leaving those strikes in makes for a much more realistic data set, and personally I enjoy knowing that some misses may be better or worse. I don’t know why but after all these years I don’t tire of your videos. Great work fellas.
On that note, thanks to your videos I’ve found so much happiness in my old R9 driver. Touch more spin maybe compared to the new tech, but let’s be honest I’m happier in the fairway.
Brilliant review. I might not be in the market to get a new driver but it’s always good to know I can find an honest review without the marketing guff being thrown down my throat.
Just bought mine today. At the fitting, I tried all the different drivers, but the Rough for me was just much better. Got the irons yesterday. Can't wait for spring ☺️
Still got a 2009 Diablo draw bias the goes str8 as an arrow and of course non adjustable so the hosel still looks brilliant like the PING G400 MAX that replaced it
Managed to get my st max from replay golf for £260 as I had £60 knocked off as a special deal .. best forgiving driver I've ever had,, got the 7 & 9 wood too plus hybrids so easy to hit all in like new condition well happy
Luckily Iv learned from mark over the last few years I’m done with the distance search from drivers and now only look at the models that suit me and my swing and help me find less trouble off the tee, distance is maxed , out let’s all just find more fairways and less trouble off the tee
Swapped out the g425 for this as could not get used to the sound even though accuracy was great. Also congrats on the channel mark, followed you years back and the quality has never dropped just got better along with the humour 😂. keep up the great work it’s so appreciated 👏🏼
I bought my first ever Callaway club(s) this year, and I have to say they are incredible! I got fitted this summer for new irons and went with the Apex. They are the best sounding, incredible flight, and so forgiving! I would go with your hypothesis of they’re just trying to make the best club possible. I loved the irons so much, I went back and got the Apex hybrids to replace my old Pings. Incredible difference in distance feel and sound!
It looks like the end of a progression for Callaway, slightly subtle, in what it’s competitor came out with, but from first appearance, I’m more intrigued in this driver🤙
Looks like an Epic driver had a baby with a Ping G425 Max. I definitely prefer the look of the stealth matte carbon crown over recent Callaway drivers. Sounds fantastic as well.
I just bought this driver. Was gaming the Maverick Max and the Stealth ( one at home the other at our vacation home) and I really liked the Maverick best of the two. I recently decided to basically sell off both sets and get down to one. I hit this new club and traded for it. I love the looks ( seems to sit perfectly square) and the feel. Just me I suppose but that’s always been the case for me… I have to like the looks first before I will test. I agree wholeheartedly with you that Callaway drivers have a fairly unique sound and feel and I have grown to prefer them over many others on the market.
i have the original rogue and love it. I have tried newer drivers on trackman and no matter how much money i care to spend can i do more than a few yards better. it is going to take a significant leap in tech or a mechanical failure of my current driver before I ever replace it.
Love the look of that thing, looks very nice. But it is bizarre how many drivers are brought out each year, it's a fair few too many for me personally.
I hope the headcovers last better than the old Rogue ones. Good video, wasn't keen on leaked photos but looks better on video. Might have to demo one and get fitted.
Hi Mark, just went for a driver fitting and had no preconceived favourites. Have been playing Ping G20 and was looking for something more up to date. Tried and tested Stealth, cobra, Titlleist TSI and Rogue ST Max. Rogue gave me the best ball speed and distance and dispersion. Totally agree with your comments regarding looks, stability and sound. Now ordered with OBAN Devotion 65 S. tour reserve shaft which is super stable. 👍😎
It's no secret that several former TaylorMade execs and designers joined Callaway about seven to 15 years' ago. Cally's driver offerings remind me of the old TM days when they simultaneously offered R Series and Burner-Burner Superfast at the same time - which resulted in major criticism. That said, they learned and at least each new offering has a 1 1/2 to 2 year life span; Rogue/Mavrik/Rogue ST and Epic Flash/Epic Speed-Max, alternating new release every other year. In regards to categories within each model, Standard, Draw, Low Spin seems to be the minimum offering for every manufacturer, with the "Triple Diamond" first offered on the Epic line in 2021. 2023 Epic Ultra or Ultimate or Superspeed, or.....
Get longer Mark... good review, well done.. I just cant bring myself to testing these new clubs out.. if I stick to my Slazenger Tour Edition 10 deg I have the excuse of the 140 Yard topper.. and the 250 yard slice.. :-) keep up the good work..
I don't know if Callaway has too many drivers. I think they are making an effort to keep bringing out new stuff without making their old stuff completely obsolete. The problem they have is that this year everyone is talking about The TaylorMade Stealth.
Great review. Probably not too far off the “regular “ numbers from your Cleveland or XXIO driver from what I have observed from your other sessions. I like the sound of Callaway drivers since the OG Epic but I don’t see myself spending $550.00 for it.
fantastic, really interested. I am up for a new driver so will try and grab a bargain with epic max LS in the next few weeks. Will have lessons first to get the dreaded fade and direct left sorted out. Great watch as usual, back to your best.
I have always like Callaway. They tend to be underestimated drivers and quietly go about their business well. Take the Callaway X hot 2 driver for example. A quite simply brilliant driver, with no marketing whatsoever, easily the best and most consistent driver I have used.
I don’t think it to many drivers but they should exposing the every year models. For example, last year the epics/speeds had the adjustable weights on the tracks etc. this year the rogue does not have the track. Every others year they now rotate in that fashion the Maverick before the new epic was no track adjustments. The epic star before the Maverick was track adjustment. So the model release schedule makes sense but without that explanation it just looks like a ton of driver constantly coming out.
Get longer Mark - another great review Mark, take your point, well made, on datasets it would be interesting to see the capture on the data from the game set at the end where as you say your really pushing the limits. Great channel, many thanks.
I am honestly blown away that there is a market for so many manufacturers to make so many drivers each year. There must be so many club jumpers buying these up. I know golf has grown in the last 2 years but SO many drivers are developed every year. I really only look for a new driver every 7 years or so when so sort of new advancement is made. I just don’t se any real gains otherwise.
Great video Mark what is the cost of it . why is srixon the Cleveland driver not bringing there new driver out to February and is it still only costing under £300 .
Get Longer Mark!!!! I’ve got my Callaway FT9 in storage… swapped to a TM M2 this summer,2nd hand bc of economics.. it’s got a much lower ball flight and (without proper test) feels longer.
Technology can only go so far. I really do feel like Callaway is trying to suit and appeal to as many golfers as possible though. I still game a TaylorMade rocket balls first edition I love it and always hit it straight. I also bring out my 2004 big Bertha and though I don't use it as much to keep it in good shape it feels just as good and I get the same distance if not more. These companies also know what some golfers are willing to spend and that's okay. I always recommend used drivers from 2016 or so on second swing to begining golfers because you will get a driver that was 300$ not too long ago for 150$. I expect great clubs from all name brands except Nike drivers basically from 2000 on as long as they are in good usable condition.
Yeah I mean for a “forgiving” driver he’s still spraying it all over the range. Turns out you still need a good swing to make it work, who would have thought.
Good show Mark, we forgive you for the fringe :) I would say testing is key and if you do have an old Rogue (which I gamed) the Flash Face tech may be beneficial with spin windows off center. The old club was *very* forgiving but a bit spinny to help keep the foul balls fair. Middled they are near identical. So as others have said had you also swung a standard Rogue 20 times would be interesting to see how your dispersion and ball speed matched up. My guess is the newer club is tighter, but is it worth it?
The market will determine if they have too many drivers. Let them make as many choices for us to choose from, I don't see a problem with that. When the new Honda Accords come out every year there are about 4 or 5 different models. And those are cars!
My gamer is the previous gen of rogue but time for an upgrade? Like the look of the old rogue driver glossy finish vs new flat finish but not a hugh issue.
Nice review as always, if you tend to hit it toward the bottom when turning your shoulders more is it worth teeing up marginally higher when doing that?
I do love that sound. Might be in the market for a new driver this year too. That one is going on the short list although I am not a huge fan of the matte finish. Still want to give it a whack. Happy New Year brother.
I've just had some new Apex DCB irons Mark. I'm now hoping to re-fit the top of my bag, driver, fairway and a coule of hybrids, down to my 5 iron. Hoping this new release will bring down prices of previous models. Big Bertha B21 looks to be an option for me as an aging golfer, slower swing and a tendancy to fade to the right a little .. I'm guessing as I watch the Max or Max D in this range would suit me, but not my pocket.
Geez, get longer Mark. But seriously, 31x is very good. I'm playing the Mavrik Max at the moment so no reason to upgrade yet, but good to know the new gear is still solid.
Beautiful club. I have a Rogue and a Mavrik (had an Epic Flash and Epic Max LS - sold them) and love Callaway drivers. Would I buy this club? Maybe. But honestly, the manufacturers can't build a hotter face or it wouldn't be conforming. In short, the new clubs really won't out perform the clubs of the past few years. But... They may be more forgiving or consistent. To buy or not buy, that is up to the individual.
Hi Mark I am a hcp 11.0, and I am now using a Radspeed driver in 10.5 DEGREES , but I think it has to much spin.........is it an option to try a low spin driver in 12.0 Degrees ? Many thanks in advance for your answer.... Henri
I hope it is as good as you say it is, I just ordered a customized rogue st max with a 300 dollar air speeder shaft. My wife will kill me if she finds out what I spent on the total package. :(
What’s your favourite Callaway driver of all time?
XR16 Pro
Ft-3
Great Big Bertha. When I was a junior it was the driver every kid wanted and it was great compared to other stuff at the time.
The classic warbird
Callaway Fusion Black
Tell me you’re a golfer without telling me you’re a golfer.
13 “last one” shots. 😂 loved it.
Forgot why I enjoyed Marks videos as I wandered around. Still is so much fun to listen to while providing valuable information.
I'm loving the new 262 Mark. Great content, and love seeing your Bryson-style rock-back-and-forth on that very last drive. Also, you're all of us when you say, "Okay, this is the last one" about 20 different times. Thanks for many great years of great content.
A side-by-side comparison to the "old" Rogue (2018) would be interesting at some point. Great stuff as usual, Mark
I love my 2018 and I was surprised it faded away with Calloway. Great driver for lower club head speed. I would also like to see them compared!
Same, that is more likely the decision many of us face. Who spends £450 a year in a new driver.
Agreed, let’s see it. I have a Rogue, wish the new one had better colors
I loved the old Rogue and I didn’t think I would due to its elongated shape. I’ve been through a couple of different drivers, including the Taylor Made Stealth which I thought I would love but didn’t. Love the extra fun games/challenges at the end of the videos. Thank you for getting them back in
I just picked up a Rogue ST Max to replace my G425 Max. Same performance with much better feel and sound. The deciding factor was the awful sound of the Ping.

I have the rouge 2018 am looking at upgrading after watching this video. Thanks Mark
Brilliant review. I might not be in the market to get a new driver but it’s always good to know I can find an honest review without the marketing guff being thrown down my throat.
I love how Mark says “last one” like 12 times before it’s the actual last one!! Lol, keep it up Mark!
Tried all the latest driver's at the pga store. And went with the Callaway epic max. Simply, because I loved the sound and feel at contact.
Just bought mine today. At the fitting, I tried all the different drivers, but the Rough for me was just much better. Got the irons yesterday. Can't wait for spring ☺️

how did you like swapping this for the g425? I am considering it now. Doing away with the turbbulators and getting a bit better sound.

I got the Callaway DCB'S waiting for me when I get back from a trip I'm on. Can't wait !

you sir are lowbrow
@@Q-Bits8 Random 🤪
Been struggling with my Ping G400 so tried the Rogue ST MAX and what a difference!
I just bought this driver. Was gaming the Maverick Max and the Stealth ( one at home the other at our vacation home) and I really liked the Maverick best of the two.

Sound means so much to me. I live distance obviously but a nice sound always makes me feel effective. I would try this
Awesome video with 5 last ones! Great job Mark!
Love Mark’s outdoor and indoor demos!
I liked the look of the prior version Rogue and this one looks even better. Giving them the benefit of "Ping-like stability" is a big deal, too.
Informative, Entertaining and much more fun to watch than another channels video I watched on the same product.
I love that it’s 3am and I’m getting ready for bed and I just see Parfield post… so I’m for sure not going to bed yet
Love the first version of the Epic. Still playing it.
Love the look of that thing, looks very nice. But it is bizarre how many drivers are brought out each year, it's a fair few too many for me personally.
Good honest review as usual…
I hope the headcovers last better than the old Rogue ones.

Also have the G20 - wondering how the Rogue compared. Thanks!
Good review Mark. Liked the format and presentation and finished with a 'working' knowledge of the club.

I'd just like to say hats off to Parfield for working on his speed, changing his swing and 262 is officially now 277. Congrats bra!
Stayed for the driving effort, loved it.
I’ll take wet and muddy over frozen and snowy! Thanks for a good review. Spot on as always. Happy New Year.
You make videos that are just fun to watch. Keep up the great work.
Great review. Probably not too far off the “regular “ numbers from your Cleveland or XXIO driver from what I have observed from your other sessions. I like the sound of Callaway drivers since the OG Epic but I don’t see myself spending $550.00 for it.

Great Video Bruh...... Love watching Parfield-Dechambeau. HOWEVER!!!!! How do you have a Callaway Driver review with no Coach Lockey???????
I don’t think it to many drivers but they should exposing the every year models. Something about this driver speaks to me really like this
I’ll test later this year but for now I’ll dream I’m off to that Tournament of Champions in Hawaii trying out the new version on tee #1
Interesting, as a self proclaimed “CG” chaser, would you say the CG is low and toey on this driver?
You made it, its definitely a winner.
I like it, but I’m definitely picking up a Starship Enterprise vibe when you put it down by the ball.

It sounds like the old Yonex carbon fiber looking one that real quiet “ Thunk” sound? I love it!
Great video Mark what is the cost of it . why is srixon the Cleveland driver not bringing there new driver out to February and is it still only costing under £300 .

Nice to hear ping stable. Always wanted to play the new pings but can't get past the sound
You've come a long way since 262!
The rogue driver does look like a classic driver, a great looking understated elegance
Get longer Mark. Nice review. Love your honesty
Great review. Please can you mention the shaft options that are available in the reviews.
Get Longer Mark!!
Curious - how did the 2022 Tensei AV Blue feel? Was it smooth and solid? Whippy? Soft?
Great video Mark
Really loving the look of this new Rogue line, seriously considering making the switch. Solid video Mark!
Hi Mark
Are this Callaway rogue St Max very forgiving driver for high handicapper ?
Would live to see a comparison to My XR16 is it worth upgrading?
Mark, what was the shaft you had in that , brand, flex and weight, nice hitting buddy!! Thank you
Mark trying to hit the green and saying last one was hilarious can't tell you how many times this has doubled my intended time at the range 😂
Great video, if you get a low strike when you really go for it would teeing it up a bit higher make a difference in moving strike point.
My gamer is the previous gen of rogue but time for an upgrade? Like the look of the old rogue driver glossy finish vs new flat finish but not a hugh issue.
I'll give you that one. You made it.
It looks really good and sounds even better. Kinda wish I hadn’t upgraded last year…
The sound is definitely really nice, I would say that is a green knowing that you would probably put from there 👍
Where are you getting these srixon beanies? I cannot find them anywhere!
Mark, for what its worth. I always count the fringe as part of the green. I don't ever recall not putting from the fringe, so why not? 😉
Rick and Mark with the same club review within minutes… must be club release season
Except when you have 5 times the amount of subscribers you get all the models. No covid sample issues for Rick.
I really like the look of that driver.
Epic big Bertha and rogue
What fits in what category? I loose overview. What are the differences. This is certainly not the low cost option 569€
Great video‼️‼️
Great vid Mark! Maybe I missed it but what specs does that driver have? 9 deg? Shaft? Upset at the hosel?
In my opinion, it's prpbably the best looking Callaway driver, ever.
I propose the new name of the game should be "Last One". Great video, looks like a solid entry to the driver market.
What shaft are you using in there, is that the Tensei Blue X-Stiff?
Where was Matt? In the fitting queue at Callaway Europe?
Beautiful club. I have a Rogue and a Mavrik (had an Epic Flash and Epic Max LS - sold them) and love Callaway drivers. Would I buy this club? Maybe. But honestly, the manufacturers can't build a hotter face or it wouldn't be conforming. In short, the new clubs really won't out perform the clubs of the past few years. But... They may be more forgiving or consistent. To buy or not buy, that is up to the individual.
Hi Mark
I am a hcp 11.0, and I am now using a Radspeed driver in 10.5 DEGREES , but I think it has to much spin.........is it an option to try a low spin driver in 12.0 Degrees ?
Many thanks in advance for your answer....
Henri
do you worry about hitting the power lines on 1 of the holes just wondering also have you hit the power lines
Legend said….Mark still saying this will be the last one…
I hope it is as good as you say it is, I just ordered a customized rogue st max with a 300 dollar air speeder shaft. My wife will kill me if she finds out what I spent on the total package. :(
