Yo! Great video. Angel’s Pick’s at 110 proof are wear it’s at! We have the cask strength too at 120 proof. It’s just too hot and there’s a slight lack of notes in the palate. The 110 pick’s are pretty dang good though, we’ll always try to have one on our shelf. Cheer’s guy’s! 🥃🪓
I'm with you on the Angel's Envy m, Bryan. I haven't found I e that I liked. One of the guys from Bourbon Kingdom has a son named Noah. He bought the bottle. For that very same reason and says he hates it.😂😂😂
Dude!!! I just bought all the materials to make the broken bottle epoxy art today! I'll let you know how it goes! I agree with everything on this list. Jefferson's ocean actually does travel around the world. Part of the idea is that it goes through lots of different climates in a short amount of time. You can look up each bottle and see where it went. They age them on shark research vessels.
Agree with all except for Noah’s Mill. I got a bottle about 10 years ago and it got me going on my bourbon journey. Then I got another bottle a couple years after that and it was crappy. Then I read a glowing review of the 2023 release on Breaking Bourbon and picked up a bottle late last year and loved it again. Weird.
im new to bourbon, but so far, Weller Spec reserve is a no rebuy, its kinda hard to get in Ohio, at least in my area, just didnt care for it, if im wanting a wheater i rather go for Larceny
Regrets. I've had a few. But then again, too few to mention. No disagreement with your choices. Kidding aside, Gentleman Jack came to mind and three of your picks would be on my list also.
Apparently if you down load the Jefffersons website and you put in the code on your bottle it will let you know where the ship traveled to. Saw one that the ship left Miami went through the Panama Canal went to Australia and New Zealand then along the western coast of South America back through the canal and back to Miami. So quite the trip. I don’t hate willet but it can be something I’ll drink only if served by a friend at their home. Other than that I have been enjoying everything I’ve purchased over a 40 year experience. Enjoy!!
You audio mix is weird. Brian is only coming through on the left channel and Lauren is on the right channel. Maybe you aren't using a mixer or you are connected to you mixer incorrectly. Should be able to fix it in your video or audio software if it's a hardware limitation.
And, also, Lauren's "microphone technique" is really poor. With that particular microphone, you're supposed to keep your mouth consistently just a few inches away from the microphone and speak straight into it. But -- in the same sentence -- Lauren is up close to the mic, then leans back, then speaks with her head turned to the side. Consequently, her voice cuts in and out. You can hear her normally, then can't hear her at all and have to try to read lips, then have to strain to hear her.
Blanton's. Never again. Now that the taters' heads have exploded, let me explain. Why the regret? Because, I can't stand the way Buffalo Trace products are treated by the community and by the stores. I regret ever contributing to that by buying a Blanton's based on the hype. I now actively pass up almost all Buffalo Trace products with extreme prejudice. But would I buy a bottle again? At 5 to 10 bucks over retail, I'd admittedly think about it... but luckily that'll never be a decision I'm faced with. I don't spend enough money at any specific liquor store to get the "hey we have a bottle of ____ for you" phone calls. I don't hunt bourbon; it's generally multiple weeks between visits to liquor stores. And even if I did buy a bottle, I would only be buying it to flip. Since I think the secondary market thing is pretty poor form, so I can't see myself doing that either. Thankfully, there are plenty of bottles that are much tastier, cost less, are easy to find, and don't come with all the nonsense (and this channel does a great job identifying those types of bottles!)
Basil Hayden is bourbon flavored water. The Jefferson’s that I like is the Tropics. The bourbon I will not ever drink or buy again is George Dickel 13 Year BIB. 🤮

Definitely gonna try one of those picks. Cheers Bobby!!!

Definitely interested in hearing. I have a ton of bottles ready to go. Just need to get the epoxy.
Great list, completely agree
🥃😎I'd have to say 1792 small batch. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, just many others at that price point I'd rather have.
That’s a good one. Agree 100%

It seems Willet is up and down like that pretty regularly.

The Holliday Soft Red Wheat is a nice one too. Not sure about its availability in OH. Cheers!!!

Never had Gentleman Jack. Probably wouldn’t go back now that we’ve tried GOOD Jack.

That extremely fortunate to have so few regrets over 40 years. Cheers!!!
I said this to Bakers... Still Austin summer red corn. That and mixing my 1915... I say better separately.
Oak & Eden.
Elijah Craig 18. It's "ok," but it's NOT worth what you gotta pay for that bottle these days!
That’s good to know. We generally don’t go after allocated, high priced stuff, but I’d be pissed if we got one and were disappointed like that.

Um, that list should have been like 20 bottles, or just Blue Note mic drop, and walk away….
Definitely Blue Note. 🤮
Noah's Mill is 114 and change proof and more likely $65 ish. Have not bought it in years though.
Thanks for the info. I bought it a long time ago and all I remember is that I didn’t like it.
The Bluestone Manor. For $50, it would be nice to actually have flavor.
Nice list! Lucky 7 the Holiday Toast & Old Forester 1910 ( Woodford DO is better)
We got a sample of the Holiday Toast, so it doesn’t qualify as a regret. If I had bought it, I’d be pretty disappointed

The audio being in the opposite channels from what it's supposed to be bugs me every time I come to this channel.

Agreed 100% on Blantons and most other BT products. At retail, they’re fine. None of them are worth paying more.
So change the title to 6 Bottles we most likely won't buy again. lol.
🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
You just did a pick for that ... but I agree, not impressed.
I actually think it’s gonna end up being a pass. It’s a pretty big investment for mediocre bourbon.
I am soooooo with Brian and. Basil Haden it is soo over rated

Bourbon flavored water is an apt observation. The Dickel 13 year is not great. Cheers!!!
