At about the 3:45 mark, where they're talking about the third tape, someone knocked on my door RIGHT when the knocking sound in-game played. I didn't realize it was in AND out of game, so I just had a moment of thinking it sounded more realistic than I remember. And then they knocked again.

The secret tape also has a secret code when the third image comes In the secret tape there is a secret code that says 826 I think typing this code in episode 1 when we have to say yes it might trigger something new

I like the allergic to apples bit, how she just brushes it off and says about not being afraid to try something new. Feels like an irresponsible response to him saying he's allergic, but with the later episodes making it more sinister. A nice early warning.

My theory: Amanda is a demon trying to trick the player into letting her out. Wooly does not want this however, so he tries to warn us in episode 2 but Amanda interrupts him. When they go to the butcher the screen goes dark red in which maybe means that amanda has escaped the tapes. She kills Wooly on the way though so he cant warn you to turn off the tv. On episode 3 it super realistic which means that she is in the real world, to prove this look at the other tapes and you will see all the houses and swings and trees are alive. But in episode 3 it dosent have that. Amanda wants you to open the door to your own house to kill you.
She wants to say knock on the door but she is like a demon so she killed wooly for no reason and the demon that looks like wooly fur covering the eyes of the demon and Amanda’s hair is on the demon
and since she is not fully in real life yet she cannot open the door by herself and wants the player to open the door for her
yeah i was thinking that the third tape is actually your house instead, that’s why it looks so realistic. As if it is a digital version of your house, letting the demon in will allow it in your house to take your soul

9:54 this reminds of that one creepypasta story about a kids TV show called Candle Cove. The adults, who watched the shows as kids, would talk to each other about the episodes and how creepy the characters were but one guy ask his mum about the show and she said that he would tell her that he was watching Candle Cove but the screen was static and he would just stare at it for thirty minutes...
I'm more concerned about how she kept letting him stare at the static for 30min...
I noticed a little detail in the last tape, if you remember in the second tape, Amanda turned her head to Wooly and Wooly looked like he tried to protect himself, well if you look on the right side of Amanda on the ground, you can see (I think) a piece of wool

I’ve seen a lot of people notice that but we must have different experiences then
Alternate theory: Amanda herself is the entity; notice how the entity's ears kind of look like her hairstyle? It lines up with how pushy and demanding she is in comparison to the other characters. It would also explain why she's the titular character of the show. I mean, any evil entity inhabiting an old VHS tape with the ability to alter any part of it at will is likely going to be a little narcissistic, right?
I rather agree the entity is the amanda itself.

I agree that Amanda is the entity. Suggesting they could be siblings is bit of a stretch to me cuz characters in children shows usually just have a generic name to go by, nothing specific. As far as the identity of wooly goes, it could just be a kind spirit possibly the first victim trying to prevent someone else from being attacked and dragged in. I like games like these and hope they expand more on it cuz it has potential. Could become a longer more flushed out story with more lore and explanation.

The thing that's scary is that, unlike other games, this has a character that looks like a child as the antagonist instead of an older looking entity.

Can we note how Wooly says that he's allergic to apples. Even though allergic clearly means that he cannot have them at all, Amanda still says that he shouldn't be afraid to try something new. Which is already a red flag in my mind in two different ways:
1. Is she trying to kill him?
2. That's a terrible thing to teach kids. You don't just say that to someone when they're talking about a food allergy. That's pretty stupid.

I really hope this game gets unraveled more and isn't just a one-off.
This game, like Andy's Apple Farm, has a lot of potential, and I'd hate to see it end so quickly.

I feel like at the end of episode 3 Amanda actually says “I am inside” or “am in” which means she is inside your house and she appears behind you at the last tape as a monster (my theory 👀)
My theory:
Amanda and her brother/friend were watching a set of VHS tapes just like you and got sucked in by the demon, probably by getting killed.
They spent years in the VHS while people investigated the murder, not knowing the VHS was the culprit.
As time goes on, more and more people get sucked in, which makes the objects with eyes and the butcher. This is why Wooly was so distraught when Amanda made the two buildings disappear, she killed two innocent people.
The demon possesses Amanda and forces her to play the game over and over again until she eventually forces you to let her out.
Now the demon can roam free and has a new host, you.
The way she says "knock on the door" pretty much shows us how insane she'd gotten
It's like she's been wanting to get out for so long that she couldn't contain her "excitement" any longer

The concept for this game is very appealing and interesting. At first, I didn't want to see what it was about because it looked cheesy, but after binge watching videos on this mysterious and creepy game, I really like the way it was executed and Whoolie trying to tell us there is something wrong. The entire time the animation kind of expresses that there is something off with Amanda and that there is more that meets the eye...

I thought that the monster/entity at the end was Amanda. I thought the monster was Amanda since it seemed to have her hairstyle at the end. And since Amanda was so pushy and if you didn’t do what she said she would force you it makes sense that she is the entity, as well as it feels like Amanda can also control the space around her which is why things would disappear if you didn’t pick correctly.

Apparently, from what I’ve heard, during the 2nd tape, if you type out “ Help “ instead of “ Meat “ while at the butcher, something different should happen, and not the usual “ Put in a different answer or Amanda types out the correct answer herself “. I haven’t tried it out, but according to others, something different will occur if you do so.

I'm surprised but also glad this little game jam game is getting so much attention. Proves how immediately interesting it is!
I love the vibes and the potential, so I really hope the person who made it either expands on it, or makes longer games in the same spirit. The tone is really nice (hits the eerie/goofy just right) and it'd be cool to see the buildup to "the entity" extended a little, like a slower burn of the children's cartoon going from harmless to eerie.

This really could be a longer game or even a TV show geared towards adults instead of the children shows like this were usually made for. It was surprisingly interesting and unsettling.

It was pretty shocking how Amanda said, “Don’t be afraid to try something new!” After Wooly said he was allergic, either Wooly is ACTUALLY allergic and Amanda wants him in danger or the apples are poisonous and Wooly doesn’t want to eat the poison apple pie.
Or it could be his way of warning us about Amanda, since she didn't care about his allergy and could possibly die if he tried it.

Wait I think you guys are on to something Amanda doesn’t listen to woolie she does opposite and then eventually kills woolie either because she doesn’t want him getting in the way of her plan or because she doesn’t want him telling and information.
I feel as though that Amanda isn’t possessed and that everything was part of the game, wooly had a script to follow and The demon kind of resembles Amanda. The butcher doesn’t seem that well put together, meaning it was a last minute thing.
“Amanda” changed the storyline for sorts and must’ve figured out Wooly was trying to warn the player of the plans, that why his wool was seen in the third Tape and why he was jumped by “Amanda”

the fact that theres no other way for the game to end is sort of fitting tbh, although itd be cool to get an extended version of the game where the descent is slower and less noticeable. and it would be cool to see wooly be a bit more fleshed out. why isnt he possessed? why is he trying to stop you? why does he care? why hasnt he given up? why does amanda kill him? is it because she doesnt want him influencing us? what is her/the demons motive for capturing us?
i understand its just a game jam project, but if the creator ends up wanting to, id love to see a more in-depth version of the game with more to explore:D

I feel like it should be expanded further, add easters eggs and secrets to expand it, otherwise, this game kind of becomes wasted potential
@@PumpyGT I wouldn't really say wasted potential, as the game was made for a game jam, but I would certainly like to see more from the developer of this game! To be honest, if the developer wanted to do more with this game, I could see them making a whole other game with this one as a sort of 'teaser'.

I find it strange how no one has noticed or pointed out that at the end of the game when it shows the credits,(4:00) it shows Amada's voice actor, but not Woolly's as if he'd been erased completely from it.

Amanda killed Wolly and Wolly was warning us to not make her angry. From the darkness inside Amanda. She killed him after she looked at the tapes only as the episode ended which made her angry.

The little “let me iin” if you don’t click the door is terrifying.
At the realistic environment bit, 10:56, Amanda is alone and you can quite clearly see a lump of something next to her that could be sheeps wool. (Wooly)
And at the end,where the entity appears,there is specks of white all over where their eyes are supposed to be. Could that mean the bits of wool from a sheeps coat?
i would guess that wooly's ghost is trying to cover the entities eyes so that she would'nt see you.

This game is what I'm looking for, a rare treat indeed. No jumpscares but creepy enough to give out chills. I hope the devs would expand the game for more gameplay and endings.
I didn’t even notice the second and third tape story when watching the first time. How it’s clear that Amanda has either killed Wooly directly or led to his death, as foreshadowed by him being a sheep, them going to a butcher, she glared at him, and then Wooly is “missing” in the next tape. Very good narration
My theory is that wooly isn’t possessed by the entity because he didn’t give up so easily like Amanda did, Wooly makes sure that he signals every victim to turn off the tv or get rid of the tapes so that they won’t be next. Even if that means that he gets killed in the process all Wooly cares about is that the player/victim is safe putting his own life in danger for us.
I love short creepy VHS horror games like this. Something oddly unsettling about them
i find the "knock on the door" thing more scary then the part where she twists.. also the demon returns into the tape so it probably feeds on the bodies of the people.. or the creature (since we saw the dead bodies) is simply trying to find a way to "enjoy" the real world transfering bodies and then being forced back into its containment as someone made it the prison of the creature.. i mean.. how else did the tapes get haunted..it would also explain the weirdly slightly to fast excited "knock on the door" sentence bc of being stuck for so long

This game does a really good job with atmospheric horror. The lighting and colors really make you feel like something’s wrong and it doesn’t utilize cheap jump scares. It’s how horror should be. Also props to Amanda’s voice actress.
I think the phrase "let me out" is what Wooly is saying and I know that the entity is behind you when you are watching the tapes. So, on the third tape, when it shows the entity, I think it is the reflection because on the second tape, if you have the update, I think you need to have the update (I'm not really sure) because if you type in 'kid's instead of 'meat', you will soon be able to walk around in the room and on will then see the entity was behind you the whole time watching you. There will also be a picture on the wall but since you could not look up before you typed in 'hide', you could not have seen it unless the word worked. Did you know that there is a very secret tape that I do not know how to get, when the screen is black and you have to type something, type in Woolie and there will be a map which circles over some trees and it will say on team right side very hard to see "2022" . The trees that is circled makes me think the body of wooly is there because on the last tape, Amanda is not with wooly because there is a pile of wool instead of wooly himself! Also, texts murderer picture really scares me....

When she said "let me in" I thought u would hear a knock on the door and then ur objective to open the door, but if you don't in 30 second's the door will suddenly open and you have to hide while Amanda plays hide and seek but she is not alone (now that's what I want if the game gets updated)
We can see the demon thing in clear, but a scan through the files shows us that the thing is looking at the TV. Maybe us, the latest victim, was forced into the show that it was trapped in?

@@hoshiryu maybe the entity forced you into the tv and turned you into the new wooly, so every victim of the entity is forced into the tv and turned into wooly, that would explain why wooly is the only character with a conscience and attempts to help the player.
If you type “lamb” in the butcher a secret tape appears on top of the 3rd one. Also I noticed that the E on the label for the second tape is the wrong way around, but I don’t know why this is.

Surprised it wasn't mentioned that there was what looked like a tuft of wool on the sidewalk next to Amanda in tape 3. Not sure if that means Wooly didn't make it out of tape 2 or if he's just for reduced down to almost nothing or not, but it's an interesting touch

I just realized something. So after Amanda says you should never be afraid to try something new to Woolie in tape one his response was kinda weird. As he said he was allergic to apples and Amanda said something like don’t be afraid to try it ( so kinda encouraging him to eat them) most people would say something like I can’t. But Woolie just went on to another topic. So I’m thinking Woolie originally was going to “talk back” but at the last moment changed the subject because he was afraid of the entity like defying it or going against it no matter what would do something bad to him. Edit: also after Amanda said it his eyebrows also shot up like he was surprised so maybe Amanda tried to kill Woolie since tape one . But that’s just my opinion.

Theory: Amanda and wooly were the innocent characters for the show. But when she said: *LET ME IN* that's the entity speaking for her And the "*Let me out*" Was written by her as when the entity didn't control her but in tape one the entity did control her. As in tape 3 U can see that wooly's wool at the ground.. I think the entity did kill him.. Cause why is it on the ground?! she was so happy and excited to get out of the game. But then she said: "click the door" It sounded like Amanda was afraid for us to open it.. Maybe the entity was actually controlling her and she tried to not let the entity control her. as for wooly he wasn't control but then he tried to warn us in tape 2.. but we didn't have much time left as Amanda came. when they got the meat the butcher was the entity. Cause I usually don't see much players or ncp in the game. but they could be real humans who were trapped in the game and siblings.. or the entity is herself u see its kinda like her but why does the entity have wool? read it back. but poor them.. They are suffering in a child video game.. they just wanna go
No, I think that’s the adults/teenagers house and she wants to get out of there and get inside reality and.. just go crazy. But you may be right.
no i think when she said “let me in, let me out” means that she wants out of the tv and in the player's home, because of how detailed episode 3 is, amanda is possibly in the the real world during the episode. though it seems that she cant open the door herself (possibly cause she's not from the real world?) after opening the door and that terrifying looking image at the end, after opening is possibly amanda/entity standing behind us

“All the theories i could ever think of this game.”
Theory 1:
Amanda is actually sentient and just wants the loop to
end. She doesn't want to repeatedly ask the same
questions over and over and she just wants to fulfill
her purpose as a horror game character and finally
rest. However, players keep playing and Amanda is
overworked night and day.
Theory 2:
Wooly is also a sentient Al, however he isn't as kind as
he appears to be; he actually wants Amanda to slowly
lose her sanity after being overworked by the game by
signaling you to piss her off and make sure she
absolutely has to force you into typing the correct
answer.
Theory 3:
Both Amanda and Wooly are sentient, but now the
roles are reversed. Amanda wants to break into your
device and make sure that the only app accessible is
her game. If the app can indeed hack into your device
if you type everything quickly and correctly, all your
apps will be deleted for a few minutes and only
Amanda's game will remain. Wooly meanwhile is
telling you to get everything wrong, and the app will
eventually delete itself.
Theory 4.
Wooly is a previous player of Amanda the Adventurer
and he's trying to warn us about what Amanda wants
to do to us.
Episode 1: "But I'm allergic to apples!"
Episode 2: "But isn't grandma a vegetarian?"
Those messages are signaling that something is
wrong about Amanda's actions, and Wooly is trying to
send us a message discreetly. At the beginning of
Episode 2, we see that Wooly has a short message:
"We don't have much time. Whatever you do, don't-"
He appears to be very agitated and the screen
glitches after he says the last word, presumably
because Amanda stopped the recording immediately.
After the glitched scene, Wooly appears to be more
worried and his voice is weaker and more nervous.
That's because Wooly only has a few extra minutes to
live since Amanda eventually kills him off. At the
beginning of Episode 3, there's a clump of wool on the
sidewalk in Wooly's place. Wooly is more nervous-
looking at the butcher's shop because he knows he's
going to die there. Wooly starts motioning for you to
get out of there; to close the game so you don't have
to see a horrific version of Amanda. Wooly wants you
to get away from the game so Amanda can't hurt you
the way she hurt him. Wooly doesn't want you to stick
around and find out more he wants you to get rid of
the game before you end up like him.
I think these would be some cool updates in the game,
considering that it's very short as of now.

Does anyone else notice how in the 3rd tape, next to Amanda is a pile of wool or something. I think it might resemble wooly and how she probably “got rid” of him- It makes sense because in tape 2, when Amanda turned to wooly, he looked as thought he was trying to protect himself. I’m pretty sure it is supposed to be a clue. I also just realized that in the credits it shows Amanda’s voice actor and not wooly’s- idk what that means but I just wanted to show that.
