Good deal Jeff. Someone has to make the tool needed and if you can't find one to buy make it. Even if you can find where to buy the tools there are no rule that say you can't make them anyway.
Hypothetical question - if holding it up to the levels showed that it wasn’t quite straight how would you address that at home? Ruling out picking another piece that was straight.
I like your question. I guess I'd probably get the piece cut to length and use a sanding beam of some type and sand it flat on my shooting board. If you didn't have a shooting board, you could just use any known flat surface and very carefully sand it flat.
And it doesn't cost $100...imagine that! Nice video and great inspiration. Thank you, Jeff.
That's one of the best parts. Lol
Fantastic work, dude! Nicely done! 😃
Making tools is one of the most fun jobs in my opinion.
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Very nice. Sure saves money doing that (as long as I remember to cut in bypass). :D

A router with a 5 or 6mm bit works fine also. Cheers...
I haven't tried a router but I can imagine it would work great.
Awesome, but Im feeling deja vu , like I've seen that piece of aluminum B4 ,,lol
This exact piece? Lol.
Nice Jeff but what do you do with it?
