I Love This Cereal because I remember watching that commercial over 40 years ago which features a shapeshifting creature falling around & all & today at 48 years old I still eat that cereal because it makes the milk change color & I really like eating it when its consumed with cold milk & all .
The choco monster is interesting in that he is creepy, but also funny.(Especially with all his shape changing.) On one hand, you can't stand him, hut on the other hand he's really funny. And he does redeem himself at the end. Overall, this was not only a funny commercial, but it had an interesting new character who shows us the beauty of redemption. The cereal is of course the point of the commercial, but we also see that friendship and redemption are more important. GREAT!
They revived the name a few years ago but the cereal was just choco flavored squares, and that's gone now too. I wish i could try the real thing, but luckily i can just make it at home by mixing plain Cap'n Crunch and Cocoa Puffs.

1980s Quaker Cap'n Crunch's Choco Crunch cereal commercial tells a story of Cap'n Crunch, Brunhilde, who takes on the spotlight for herself as an ascended extra, Alfie, Dave and Carlyle who's at the beach stumbles across a cargo airplane that provides a package of Cap'n Crunch's Choco Crunch cereal, which hence its title, is yet another one of three variations of famous original Cap'n Crunch, much like Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries, contains two different cereal pieces: rightfully crispy and sugary sweet sweetened, yellow, square-shaped cereal pieces that are fun to munch because they keeps it crunch to make it so crisp so that it never run its crunching sound which crunches not even its sugar crystals and luscious little chocolate crispy corn puffs that are coated with a deep dark chocolatey flavor and made with real Hershey's cocoa for a great chocolatey taste. But what they didn't know is that a playful, mischievous and friendly shapeshifting polka-dotted creature named Choco is looking forward to eating it. "Oh, boy!" So, he converts himself into a baseball glove to try and steal it from Cap'n Crunch, turns himself into a motorized cart wagon that leads them a comical chase down in the jungle and becomes a rickety bridge between two cliffs. Dave shows Cap'n Crunch that it's on the other side of them. Brunhilde, who's feeling scared of heights, hopes that the bottom of two cliffs looks deep. So, with a help of Alfie, Dave and Carlyle, she walks across Choco's body which she uses as a bridge followed by Cap'n Crunch who finds it funny that he don't remember this bridge. Choco returns to his normal form, grabs hold of Cap'n Crunch's Choco Crunch cereal, puts himself on one of two cliffs along with it and giggles. Cap'n Crunch tries to tell him to give it back to him and the others but Choco refuses. "Nope, nope, nope!" Brunhilde, who's shown to be pretty gentle, charms him with her kindness by telling him to say please so that they could play together which he agrees. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!" Brunhilde is so happy that she jumps for joy "Yippee!" and accidently stomps on a grassy top of one of two cliffs that sends her and her sailor hat falling down followed by Cap'n Crunch who's catching up to rescue her. Choco knows that this is a very serious situation, "Uh-oh!" transforms himself into a rocket, flashes into the rescue, successfully gives them Cap'n Crunch's Choco Crunch cereal thanks to Brunhilde's kindness and turns into a makeshift trampoline so that he can take them to safety. A little while later, at the beach, Cap'n Crunch thanks Choco for saving him and Brunhilde as quick as a flash. Choco introduces himself "Choco!" which Cap'n Crunch feels impressed at since that's just what it is. While he and Brunhilde holds a meeting with Alfie, Dave and Carlyle and finds a bowl for him, Choco turns himself into a cute little critter much to his surprise. Cap'n Crunch wonders where'd he goes while Brunhilde, Alfie, Dave and Carlyle laugh at such a funny sight. Cap'n Crunch decides to feed Choco since chocolatey crunch and crunchy crunch tastes great together. Even Brunhilde likes Cap'n Crunch's Choco Crunch cereal because it's chocolatey and so does Choco. And so, Cap'n Crunch, Brunhilde and Choco become firm friends and go on several adventures wherever they go and wherever they help save the day because that's what friends are for.
