Thank you for helping me out I think I'm going to try and tab it soon but the reason some stuff isn't sounding right is because the whole song is about half a step down on every string just the way the original was so I guess the cover is accurate to original

I've read that he hooked up with a japanese girl and he took her home to have an open relationship with her wife and her. And the two got along...without him some kinda a Ross and Susan from Friends situation, multi-love was actually about that, I cannot help but think that these kind of songs talk about that.

People say self deprecation helps grip reality of situations but after playing guitar for 14 years and meeting people of all different skill levels and genres, having a positive outlook on where you're at and what you can do and most importantly where you want to be is the best way to go about it. I've only ever seen self deprecation breed jealousy and inner anger/disappointment at what you can do. Every single guitarist started with one chord, even the best of the best. Pobodys nerfect but you can strive for your sound and make it what you're happy to hear

Tune down a half step and save your voice like this guy, Jimi, Elliot, and a bunch of other bosses. Also shit is real sad down there.

You flatten every string a half step. It's a well known blues trick that lets you bend the strings easier, and since it is lower it makes it so you can sing more comfortably. Ruben is playing in a "normal" key here though (it's not flatted), and the beginning of the song is called a "pickup". You can just worry about the sound and not the key for now by just playing stuff you learned exactly the same way with the guitar tuned down like that. If anyone is trying to accompany you on another instrument they would have to adjust. You can take it down another half step, too, and still maintain a good overall sound. Hope that all makes sense.
