@@elderg1510 I think it really depends upon whether you have the 12 or 15 round magazine inserted, and your hand size. For me, with average sized hands, the 12 round magazine is associated with a bit more 'top heavy' feel, while the 15 round magazine feels perfect. It is not jus the added weight associated with more rounds, rather, the little further extension of grip makes a huge difference. Until just recently the OEM 15 round magazines were impossible to come by, but now seem readily available. The TP9 Elite is one of those pistols you almost do not want to like compared to a Glock or my personal favorites, Sig. However, the TP9 Elite SC is simply 'on target,' literally and figuratively. As usual, a great video. I bought a TP9 SF Elite SC several years ago. It was $389.00. They still retail for about that. There's several reasons why I chose this, and all my other pistols, over the Glocks. Almost two hundred bucks less is the first good reason...and, I'm left handed. The Walther /German style paddle levers are great. On Glocks, it took them all the way to Gen 5 to even consider some of us are left handed. Even so, the lefty slide catch, as with my M&P 2.0 compact, takes a lot of strength to operate. The other reasons, are, how it FEELS in my large hands, and the trigger is superior on the Canik. It carries well, and I shoot it well, with either hand. I like it a lot. So much, that I just bough a Canik METE SF. Another great gun. Hard to beat Canik .. they knock it out of the park with every feature we are looking for.
Agree. That trigger is phenomenal. If you were shooting it blind, you'd think you were shooting a $900 gun. You can just run this thing under rapid fire & it will keep spitting them out.
Canik makes a quality pistol at a very good price. I've owned five - still have four - and all of them have been accurate and reliable. My newest, the Mete MC9, is smaller than the TP9 Elite SC but is VERY accurate and, with over 200 rounds through it, has been perfect. It shoots like a much larger pistol. I've had no problem keeping shots on an 8 inch steel plate at 25 yards. For a Micro-Compact, I'd say that was pretty darn good.

The SF Elite was my first Canik and I was extremely impressed, but I sold it because no matter how hard I tried, it just wouldn't fit my hand. It has a slightly longer grip but not a long as a full size and a slightly longer barrel. Same thicccness as the SC and conceals pretty much the same. The METEs are far easier to do trigger upgrades on due to improved design of the slide release.
Have you seen the elite sc executive? It has the rival flat faced trigger, a TiN coated barrel and some other upgrades, in my country it's only 40 USD more than the mete SF. Which should I go for? I'm worried the MC9 will be way too small, the SC looks like the Goldilocks zone and the SF might be slightly too big for comfort and carrying in shorts and light clothing. The market is moving so fast for 9mm pistols, the new standard is closer to 1.1-inch width pistols like Glock 43X, P365, Shield Plus, MC2C and Hellcat Pro. You can now get 15 round capacity 9mm pistols for basically the same size as old single-stack .380 pistols.
This is my personal CCW. Compared to the Glock 19, this Canik has better stock sights, a better stock trigger, and at a better price! Keep in mind, Caniks do not have great aftermarket support. Paid $40 for an additional 12-round magazine!

It's one of the most accurate guns I've ever shot and I know everyone is different but for me something about it feels good, shoots good and for the money it is an absolute steal to me. The 15 rnd mag feels awesome at the range but is just a bit too big for conceal so I carry the 12 round mag which is just fine with me. If they just added a front night and rear night sites it would be perfect.
My EDC. Love it! Got a Holosun, freedom smith trigger, threaded barrel and a talon grip on it. Never had a failure and she’s accurate. Excellent firearm
I have tungsten grey and put like 100 rounds through it. It is getting better. Sometimes I just open this gun from the case and hold it and keep loving how beautiful and hard and smooth it is.
I own most of the TP9 series of pistols and used to carry the Elite SC. Never really understood Canik’s definition of sub compact because the Elite Sc is not a sub compact. I love the gun, but it’s a chunky boy.
I’ve had mine for two years. Several hundreds of rounds through it, both hollow point and FMJ, never malfunctioned. Carries great outside the waistband in the Kydex holster that comes with it. I did replace my backstrap with one from Taylor Freelance, which makes it a little heavier, but a lot more comfortable to hold and shoot.
Got it as a Do-ALL size but was too large to comfortably conceal, so ended up going back to a Rival and MC9 setup instead. Best value firearms in the industry!
Got one at the Fort Worth gun show last week on October 7th. Bought this gun with the mecanik mo1 red dot and thought I got scammed but saved me over 100 bucks. Payed 600 flat. As my first semi auto pistol I think I made a good choice. It holds way more than my S&W 642 38sp but too bad it’s not close to being as light and concealable. But it still fits in my jean pockets. 👍
I literally just bought a preowned one about 45 minutes ago. Came with a Holosun 507K. Haven’t seen this video before but glad to see it come out recently. I was so impressed with this trigger!!! 😮😊 feels great in my hand too.
Great video as always! I would love to see you do a video on the M18 and hear your opinions on why you think the marines chose the M18 over the M17 and maybe compare the two!
The single thing I don't like about my Canik is the back strap. The way it narrows towards the bottom makes it focus a lot more of the recoil right there, and if you're putting a lot of rounds through it, that'll start to aggravate your hand a bit. But genuinely, that's the only company I have about it after around 4 months. Excellent little pistol, ESPECIALLY at it's price point.

You will never go back to irons again once you get accustomed to the red dot. I bought a TP9SFX that came with a Vortex Viper from the Canik factory and I was blown away. My last 4 pistols have all been equipped with red dots.

My first pistol. I got it just about a year ago. Very good price, very good trigger.
I love this little gun, got it in the dark green color. Its a damn tack driver. I own all the TP9 sizes and love each one. Full size is king though
Do the Canik Mete MC9 next !
I'll always enjoy shooting this chubster Elite SC! The MC9 is on my list, but all aspects of the Elite SC fit my needs.
My EDC. Love it! Got a Holosun, freedom smith trigger, threaded barrel and a talon grip on it. Never had a failure and she’s accurate. Excellent firearm
Hickok doesn't seem to notice, that everything he puts in those mitts is subcompact.😎❤
Have had mine for a while. Great shooter. Like the size and capacity.
Teşekkürler Abi. Silahı çok güzel kullanıyorsunuz.
I just purchased this pistol myself. Great gun.
Thk Hickcok!!!
Bought the Mete MC9 last week and adore it!!! Elite is next!!!
424.00 out the door!!! Love it THX!!!
I’ve had this gun or my edc since 2020. Thousands of rounds and it’s never let me down
My first canik
Got my Cannik TP9SFX with 45 blast compensator with full size flashlight laser light combo Magwell extended magazine Iron sights all black 🇺🇲💪😎👍🇺🇲
In Deutschland sind Taschenlampen verboten an der Waffe.😢
@@cubukluugur6777 I don't understand what you're saying but okay have a good day
really grew up watching this guy 🥲
My EDC and most fast and accurate pistol. I love it!
Prefers 124g ammo for some reason
Caniks prefer Nato-spec rounds.
caniks are underrated
I love seeing this old school vibes thank you Pops keep the knowledge alive imma forever be a student of Wisdom
Caniks are amazing! Best factory trigger. I love my Canik!
This guy is the best! Always has been. Best gun channel period.
You are a bit limited on your selection of red dot sites. It is a shield cut, so it takes the Sigg Romeo zero, that’s what I have on mine.
Got it as a Do-ALL size but was too large to comfortably conceal, so ended up going back to a Rival and MC9 setup instead.
Best value firearms in the industry!
Yeah my MC9 is awful canik drop the ball with it, and I'm a canik fanboy
We have so many great options as gun owners. The only issue I have is not money to buy them all!
ive had my eliete sc since 2020 with over 1k rounds and no complaints. would absolutely buy another canik
Thank you.
For the connection of old school
Canik booth at shot show 2024 was impressive with looks innovation and price! What's not to like about Canik?
Crazy good trigger for the price.
Great video as always! I would love to see you do a video on the M18 and hear your opinions on why you think the marines chose the M18 over the M17 and maybe compare the two!
I just purchased one. I am quite excited about its accuracy.
Excellent little pistol, ESPECIALLY at it's price point.
i believe thats not the right gun for your grip or you're not gripping it correctly
Canik hás just started to market its products in Brazil. Buyers are very pleased.
Got my TP9sc and a Holosun for less than $650 new. Love it.
I'm planning on adding a TP9 SF SC very soon. I already have a TP9 SF Elite I carry, looking for something a little smaller.
“Way to go now I’m all juiced up” (empty the whole clip) lol. I watched and laughed at that part for a good 20+ mins
I'm curious what your thoughts are between the tp9 sc compared to the new mc9?
Mr. HK how 'bout a video with your least desirable firearm(s) showing/explaining EVERYTHING you cannot/should not do with a firearm? Recently found your channel after watching a review video you did of a gun I purchased online. 😀🙏🏿
I have the SFX rival in FDE and I love it for just target shooting it came with a canik red dot but I’ve never messed with red dots but I’m thinking about putting it on sighting it in and giving it a go
You will never go back to irons again once you get accustomed to the red dot. I bought a TP9SFX that came with a Vortex Viper from the Canik factory and I was blown away. My last 4 pistols have all been equipped with red dots.
That's an exemplary firearm right there, stranger.
Not the best, sure, but she'll make you an ideal companion.
Literally just finished loading the mags on mine for today's shooting trip. Great review!
