Bought a TP9SF ELITE a month ago. Close to five hundred rounds through it without a flinch and the action just gets better as it dials itself in. Hadn't fired a pistol in twenty years until I bought this one, and today I joined a gun range. Already planning on the next one. Great gun.
This gun gets so much hate simply for being Turkish. Thank you for being so honest. Your channel has been the most insightful, especially when helping decide what guns to try out to buy
As a Turkish, i just learned the canik hype in U.S. and i find it interesting. I can suggest you other brands from Turkey, Sarsilmaz(SAR), Tisas (esp zigana models and check full auto zigana F63, its a beast!) Atmaca, Firtina, Sahin, Girsan, Yavuz, Kilinc ... And these brands have dozens of different types and models.
It's not hype, they're being imported and marketed in the US over the past some years. Canik, Sarsilmaz, Girsan and Titas are all being sold under their own names. Kilinc is the same as Sarsilmaz. Yavuz is the same as Girsan. Are you sure Atmaca and Firtana are real guns, they shoot blanks and seems like they're for markets where traditional handguns are banned. I can't find anything on Sahin.
My tp9sf had a beautiful trigger. However, the pretravel was too much. So I went to freedomsmith and got the "Pro" model, figured the worst that'll happen is I'll keep the factory trigger. Man you better go get one lmao So much better.
I own the Canik TP9 SF Elite, over 1,500 rounds, my everyday carry. Trigger and warren tact sights better than standard Glock out the box. If you want a pistol that’ll work, depend on, & enjoy shooting without having to spend over $500, this is the best out there.
Walther p99 was my first love of a pistol, but now that I’ve got a tp9 elite combat I think I’ve got a new favorite. It’s got everything I’ve wanted in a modern pistol but with a unbelievable price point. Upgraded trigger by salient arms, threaded salient arms barrel, fiber optic iron sight, cut for a red dot optic, and aluminum beveled mag well. Plus, like the p99 it has differently sized grip back straps to accommodate larger hands. Also can swap 3 sizes of mag release depending on user needs. What more could you ask for in a pistol at $700?! Fit and finish is perfect as well.
Own TP9 SA and SF, love them both thousands of rounds down range with zero hiccups and overall one hell of a gun for the price point. Now that there is more of an aftermarket for these guns it will only get better.
@Jimmie Doolittle could you tell me how they compare with recoil? I'm a lightweight. Are they well balanced with not bad recoil but also not too heavy? However much info on this with each would help me so much. Thank you in advance if you reply.
My first Canik was the TP9 DA. I was amazed! Reliable, accurate, with an amazing trigger pull and great ergonomics, all that at a fair reasonable price. My second TP9 was the SF model. As good as the DA. My third model was the METE SFT. It amazed me that the trigger is an improved version over the already great trigger of the TP9. I LOVE CANIK PISTOL MODELS. Some ignorant people talk 💩 about Canik, but obviously they know 💩! Canik does make superior handguns. From Texas USA 💪🏼🤠🇺🇸 with love for Canik.
I did as well and it's the best all around semi-auto pistol that I have ever purchased , literally nothing to upgrade or swap out it's the ultimate Semi- auto 9mm on the market , but the price is amazing I paid $699 as well .
Just picked up the TP9SFX a few days ago. Only have 200 rounds through it, but only because that's all I could buy, what with the ammo shortage. Mine is the Tungsten/Black 2-tone color scheme. I really like it, and have seen a significant increase in accuracy over the APX Compact. Probably a 15-20 percent reduction in group size, and that trigger! I thought the Beretta had a nice trigger, but it doesn't compare. I'm very glad I snagged this when I had the chance. I'll be adding the optic soon, I hope.
Still rocking my TP9SA...I will put it up against a Glock any day of the week...Bought it when it was first introduced and have fired close to 5k rounds of hollow points, reloads, steel cased, aluminum cased, all bullet weights... Zero malfunctions and I regularly pop an 8" plate at 100yrds with it...Canik definitely makes a damn good handgun for a damn good price!
I love the canik's. I have a tp9sf in fde and its wonderful. I didn't clean it for the first 500 rounds and it just powered through it all without 1 malfunction. It shoots like a sig p320 if the sig had a better trigger. The trigger on mine is amazing. Single action super clean break. Couldn't recommend these more
The canik is really the most value for the money out there right now in my opinion.. I love my cz's, glocks, hks and wheel guns but for what it is the tp9 series is really alot of bang for the buck. I have the tp9 elite sc tungsten color I put a holosun 507k on it and it is a GREAT shooter! Actually prefer it over my glock 26 which I love as well. They also give you 2 mags one 12 and one 15 rd so you already have a extended mag good for a spare reload. A itw/otw holster that's decent until you find a better one. Nickel and nitride coated parts, match grade barrel, optic ready and a very good trigger out the box! That's really hard to beat considering I payed 375$ for it(was used but not much). Only sub compact double stack I like as much and shoot as well is the cz rami. I do wish the sfx came with a flat trigger!
I picked up a lightly used TP9SFX from my friendly local gunshop a few months ago, and I love it! A great shooter, tons of mag capacity, a great trigger. I've always been a big fan of the full size CZ75, one of the best 9s in the world, but my Canik rivals it. It's just that good.
I’ve owned my tp9sfx for 2 years and shoot comp with it and shot more than 5k rounds never had a problem. Love these guns so much I bought every line they have from the tp9 to the executive . Love them
I bought a Canik 55 tp9 double action about three years ago. I have never had a malfunction with this gun, even after over three thousand rounds of varying ammo. Gonna get another Canick soon. Thanks for the vid. Oh, forgot to mention, the decocker is the sh!+! Love it😎
I put my TP9SF and SIG P365 next to each other. The build quality and materials are comparable. The trigger on the SIG is very nice, but the Canik's is slightly better. When I bought my TP9, I compared it side by side with an H&K VP9 and a Glock 17. The fit and finish on the Canik is equal to the H&K, and slightly better than the Glock.
Check out the Canik TP9 Elite Combat. I believe their most expensive. Optic ready, salient sight, trigger and flutted/ threaded barrel. It is amazing. Higher price at about $850. But it's gorgeous.
Sry Bro but every outstanding and fantastic product will be hard to get sometime it’s just cheap cuz it’s the first turkish weapon which goes viral but it’s going to be more and more expensive :/

Yessir. I have an Elite SC for EDC and an SFX for the range/competition. There's a reason so many people are calling Canik a Glock killer. You get so much out of the box for a lower price, value: untouched. They do sorta need some Sprinco spring kits to optimize them, but the triggers are amazing. I've had zero problems 1000 rounds in on each. There are "old" and "New" versions, so try to go for a Canik made 2020-On; the company made slight improvements, but if you ever sell one, you will for sure make some money since they are getting more difficult to find at msrp. Gun shops know what they have when they have them in stock. If you do find one at MSRP in shop....BUY IT.
I've owned my TP9SF since 2016 and love it to death. Every person I've ever gone shooting with and let them shoot it, they start mentioning that they want to sell their gun and buy a Canik
I started with the basic TP9SF the trigger is very nice!! I grabbed the package deal with case 2 18 round mags an speed loader, hardcase is nice as well! Can't wait to buy the Combat Executive Elite next!!!! Definitely will keep buying Canik!!!💯✌🏻
The very first firearm that I’ve ever purchased for myself was the TP9SA. I got my carry permit shortly after, and carried that baby for 3 years. Absolutely love it. Replaced it for the M&P 2.0 for everyday carry, but it serves as our secondary home defense firearm. Absolutely love that brand, and will always be faithful. I’ll be swapping out the shield for the elite SC once my wife gets her concealed carry permit. Well actually, she won’t need her permit because Ohio just passed constitutional carry!! Still gonna encourage her to get her permit for travel, however.
I’ve put over 10,000 rounds through my TP9SFX, and can count the malfunctions on one hand. It’s an amazing, no frills shooter. One of the best values on the market if you’re looking for a competition gun.
@@coldenbradshaw8685 Just got it recently so only maybe 100 rounds so after replacing the spring with L spring (low power) I was expecting to cycle everything. First I noticed it didn't like short round noses (copper plated 100gr) which I thought was really weird because the shape is fine, my Ruger would feed even semi-wadcutters! But it shot ok pretty much most of my reloads, I could live with that. The main problem was FTE / stovepipes. But yesterday, I took my daughters for the first time to experience 9mm handgun, well it was FTE every round! My oldest (15) nailed the target the size little bigger than clay pigeon from 1st shot being the very first time with 9mm from 15-20 feet in the dark with me shining flashlight that had low battery. I couldn't even see the sights to line up. Anyway, we left and I was pissed. Maybe I should add oil the slide.
@@thequackhouse4658 The reviews were raving and it had red dot support that's why I bought it. I guess I can get aftermarket spring or work up a load and stick to it.
@kevin twigg nice. I'm wanting to buy one but scared to do it. Can you please tell me how the balance is between the weight of the gun and the recoil? I'm worried about both as I'm a first time GO & light weight. Thanks in advance!
I actually traded my glock 17 for the TP9 V2. I've shot over a thousand rounds and never had any issues. Honestly, I would pick Canik over glock any day of the week. Very durable and best buy for the price.
I love these Canick pistols. I have a TP9 that I've owned for 5 years. I call it a Glock killer. Only time it's ever malfunctioned is when I ran some bullshit ammo through it (Perfecta). Get one! Super reliable and decently priced. Comparable if not better than a Glock.
Mine ate pretty much all ammo! Even the aluminum case 9mm crap. It ate it all up no malfunctions. The only malfunction I ever had with mine was when I forgot to chamber a round when I was going to shoot it DA! DOH!!!! And that was an Operator Malfunction not a Gun Malfunction!
Caniks are a great pistol!! Mine feeds absolutely anything I have put in her and asks for seconds! The "Double action" Is the anti stress trigger system from Walther, which was designed for German police. I really like that trigger.
I have the TP9 DA. But mine is Black! I love it! It handles very nice! I was able to put rounds in the circle on a fast draw right out of the box. I cannot say it enough! I LOVE THIS GUN!!!
@@derekanderson6635 I got a Tp9 SC for $369 a month ago before the craziness. Most places were $379. They failed to mention in the video that the SC also comes with a 15rd mag in addition to the 12rd
i have the same tp9 sa love it so far not a problem but i only have about 6 boxes of ammo through it so far but it is my new everyday carry gun now that better weather is here im going to be shooting it alot more
The last gun you showed is the TP9 SF Elite *Combat*. It is a 15 round plus one handgun, but will take the larger mags. The Elite Combat has more features than the standard TP9 SF Elite, such as suppressor and optic ready. I have the regular Elite (not the Elite Combat) and it is a phenomenal handgun. I love the trigger. My Taurus G2 will also take the Canik mags, so when I carry the Taurus and need extra mags, I just strap on the Canik mags.
I have a TP9SF in OD green that has functioned flawlessly since day one and was dead on accurate straight out of the box. However I shoot hand loads now with Hornady XTP 124gr. And it’s a great shooter. Definitely will be buying more when I can find em.
J. LaForge I own a Canik TP9sf as well but ain’t no damn way I can conceal carry that! I bought a IWB and tried to carry it. After a hour it felt like I was carrying a brick and it dig into my leg. I carry a Ruger LC9 for edc
I own a Canik and for me they're memorable for two things. 1) A great trigger. 2) The longest serial numbers that any gun manufacturer in the history of mankind thought was necessary. Seriously, it's outrageous.
Paid $250 for my TP9 sfx elite from a friend and I love it 1 of my best handguns I own it’s my EDC haven’t had 1 malfunction yet it’s a must have in my opinion in your collection
I own four of these. I have owned everything from this price point up to a Nighthawk custom 1911 that I took to Afghanistan with me in the mid-2000s. I would not trade a single one of my Caniks for any other gun I have ever shot.
Wow. That is impressive. I am finally venturing into the world of Caniks and just bought a used TP9 SF Elite for shy of 300. I have a waiting period in my state unfortunately. But after all the research I have been doing and all the positive reviews, I am gonna go put another one on layaway today. Hoping to find a really cool one.
Great gun... TP9SF... Beat most triggers out of the box. Great affordable mags. Warren steal sights. Priority 1 - it's reliable and accurate. Had this for 2+years... and the time, I did have a hard time find a kydex holster. They seem to have gone up in price but so has ALL pistols... love it.
I love mine it’s amazing I bought a sig sauer Romeo zero red dot optic for it and it’s a perfect combination of compact and useable pistol especially with the red dot
CandyMan glock is a name known around, I retired the glock because my Canuck does everything my glock does and more, and well I rather carry something people tend to have never seen in person
As an owner of two glocks and a canik, I personally can’t get used to the ergonomics since I’m used to the glock. That effects my shooting, so I just use the canik for a range gun, and the glock for carrying. That said, I have had zero problems with the canik and it functions well.
My first handgun(tp9sfx), I’m so happy with my final decision, the only bad thing is I need a sponsorship for free ammunition, this thing vanish a box quickly.
I ordered one of the last tp9sfx off your website recently, very excited for the order to come in so i can put some rounds through it. Ive heard very good things about these and was very happy to find you had them on sale
Thank you for clearing each one and for showing it’s clear to the camera! That’s prefect! If you don’t to that viewers well your not doing it right so take a class. Good job fellas!
I have the sfx, and added the leapers/utg microdot.... extremely good value.... great shooting pistol, and alot of value for the dollar. It shoots better than my xcarrys and the microdot is a good deal also.... I just ordered the whiteout edition
sancoffsr Why people still pay $600 for a Block, is a mystery to me. Pretty much EVERY modern pistol made, is not only superior in every way, but they're also less expensive.
@@jamiesloan5902 Yeah, that's not true at all. You're just regurgitating generic ego-defense nonsense that people tell themselves in an attempt to feel better about whatever cheap pistol they bought instead of ponying up a few more bucks and getting the better gun. Ever think that so many people continue forking over $600 because they actually prefer the quality of a Glock?
Have the V2,SLX,ELITE.... These are sprung for a Nato round, you may have feeding issues with a lighter load.Leave the slide back and work it for the first 3 days. Once the recoil spring settles in,it should eat anything. Century arms has lighter recoil springs as well.
"Say what you want but those turkish guys make pretty damn nice guns" YES THEY DO! I catch flack from Glock'ers and big bore handgunners about my 'Turkish' little 9mm. They stop giving me crap when I'm putting rounds on target in the center ring with each shot. I love my DA! That trigger is sweeeeet! Took some getting used to since it was the first trigger set up I've ever had in a handgun. But once I got the feel of it, I was in love! My next handgun will likely be a Canik in the longer barrel. Possibly the SFX. or SF
I just got the Rock Island Armory VR80 mag-fed semi-auto 12 gauge shotgun made by Derya of Turkey. Haven't shot it yet, but it looks and feels flawless. And all the video reviews are as strong and positive as can be.

Update: after spring replacement and my hand loads dialed in it doesn't suck anymore and I like it.
Dima Prok how many rounds have you put through it? Cause mine had some issues breaking in but now I’ve not had any problems out of it.
Dima Prok they are just cheap low quality hand guns that actually look really cool.
@@thequackhouse4658 The reviews were raving and it had red dot support that's why I bought it. I guess I can get aftermarket spring or work up a load and stick to it.
i love my Canik TP9sa my absolute favorite of all handguns i own no issues with it 👍👍
@kevin twigg nice. I'm wanting to buy one but scared to do it. Can you please tell me how the balance is between the weight of the gun and the recoil? I'm worried about both as I'm a first time GO & light weight. Thanks in advance!
Because made in Turkey 🇹🇷
I actually traded my glock 17 for the TP9 V2. I've shot over a thousand rounds and never had any issues. Honestly, I would pick Canik over glock any day of the week. Very durable and best buy for the price.
I love these Canick pistols. I have a TP9 that I've owned for 5 years. I call it a Glock killer. Only time it's ever malfunctioned is when I ran some bullshit ammo through it (Perfecta). Get one! Super reliable and decently priced. Comparable if not better than a Glock.
My TP9SA loves perfecta....it eats anything
I would love to own a canik pistol but it is unfortunate here in the Philippines, there is no dealer or distributor yet of canik pistols
Revisiting this video, this was my 1st classic firearms vid and what made me buy a canik tp9
I've got the Combat elite worth every penny. Love this gun.
Love the FDE color with the black accents. Congrats
I have a tp9sfx and love it my nephew won 2 in gun contests and gave me one. Boy am I glad he did
I'm in love with the sfx completely sold 😍
I just bought a Tp9 Elite Combat. I'm excited!
Caniks are a great pistol!! Mine feeds absolutely anything I have put in her and asks for seconds! The "Double action" Is the anti stress trigger system from Walther, which was designed for German police. I really like that trigger.
I own and love my Canik TP9 DA too! Beautiful pistol!
I have the TP9 DA. But mine is Black! I love it! It handles very nice! I was able to put rounds in the circle on a fast draw right out of the box. I cannot say it enough! I LOVE THIS GUN!!!
Would you recommend this over a Glock?
@@jojogrow5815 I'd recommend anything over a glock. Not a fan. Overrated.
You didn't mention the magazines work in all models!
The SC wouldn't work in all models...
@@magdump_morgan come on now Clint.. I know you can make small things fit into bigger openings.... Lol
Thanks Dan I was wondering if I could get a flush 18rd magazine for my SFX.
@@magdump_morgan Canik mags work in a Taurus G2, so I'm guessing the Taurus 12 round mags will also work in the smaller Elite SC.
I've got the tp9sfx as well as the elite subcompact and they are absolutely fantastic guns for the price! The subcompact is my everyday carry!
What's the price?
@@derekanderson6635 I got a Tp9 SC for $369 a month ago before the craziness. Most places were $379. They failed to mention in the video that the SC also comes with a 15rd mag in addition to the 12rd
@@derekanderson6635 I picked my Elite SC up for $380 shipped
@@mintac3672 if you take pinkie extension bait about the size of glock 26?
those look lovely. thank for the new gun to get.
Got a TP9SA (the one with the decocker),really good trigger, definently top 3 of triggers out of the box
i have the same tp9 sa love it so far not a problem but i only have about 6 boxes of ammo through it so far but it is my new everyday carry gun now that better weather is here im going to be shooting it alot more
5k rounds of just about every type of 9mm imaginable through mine...it eats everything!
Can't catch corona thru a video... 🤷🏽♂️ So how bout' closing that quarter mile social distancing gap between the product & the camera boyz?
Kross Kreed 🤣🤣🤣🤣😷😷😷
😂😂
That...my thoughts exactly...thank you.
😂😂😂😂😂
Kross Kreed they are more interested in showing them selves to other guys than showing the guns. Over head camera would work wonders.
Can’t wait for caniks to be mentioned in rap songs lmao
I have a TP9SF and love it.
Love my TP9 SF. The grip is perfect size , amazing trigger, sweet shooter! Go buy one you won’t be disappointed!
I bought my Canik Tp9SFX from Classic a few years ago. I love mine, and haven't had any issues with it!
How much it cost??
@@riconpa09 around $500ish. It's been a few years so I dont remember the exact price
They make fine weapons
Canik is the best! Most resisitable and useful! I prefer than the others guys
You guys need to get them to release that white one again. It’s awesome.
I have a TP9SF in OD green that has functioned flawlessly since day one and was dead on accurate straight out of the box. However I shoot hand loads now with Hornady XTP 124gr. And it’s a great shooter. Definitely will be buying more when I can find em.
I love my elite had it for 2-3 years now no issues been used plenty
Love these guns . I too carry a TP9 elite SC everyday. The Open carry / conceal carry holster is great
The sfx is beautiful in all aspects.
I love my TP9SF. She is my EDC.
J. LaForge I own a Canik TP9sf as well but ain’t no damn way I can conceal carry that! I bought a IWB and tried to carry it. After a hour it felt like I was carrying a brick and it dig into my leg. I carry a Ruger LC9 for edc
@@FourtyOunce Poster is probably open carrying it. I couldn't imagine trying to carrying that concealed.
@@FourtyOunce I conceal carry the tp9 elite sc. Fits well with my alien gear. Comfortable and ready
You guys should cover the new mete series as well I just bought one love it more than the tp series but the tp series is still great
I own one...great gun right out of the box!!!
Tp9 sfx is hands down my favorite pistol!
I love my tp9sfx. Now I need a canik for edc
I own a Canik and for me they're memorable for two things. 1) A great trigger. 2) The longest serial numbers that any gun manufacturer in the history of mankind thought was necessary. Seriously, it's outrageous.
"I love this gun"
*guns on table wobble with happiness*
It's true, they do lol
🤣🤣
Hahahah I laughed way too hard at this
Paid $250 for my TP9 sfx elite from a friend and I love it 1 of my best handguns I own it’s my EDC haven’t had 1 malfunction yet it’s a must have in my opinion in your collection
They seem to have gone up in price but so has ALL pistols... love it.
BEAUTIFUL , OUTSTANDING LOOKING FIREARMS 🏆💯
I love mine it’s amazing I bought a sig sauer Romeo zero red dot optic for it and it’s a perfect combination of compact and useable pistol especially with the red dot
I’ve owned my tp9sf Elite S since 2017. I retired the glock after the first day with the Canik
@CandyMan caniks have a better trigger and just shoot better than the glocks.
Jonathan Perea glock is like the apple of the gun world. Over priced, same shit every year, all hype
@@yoshireikerson771 Glocks still better but for the price point.
My first handgun(tp9sfx), I’m so happy with my final decision, the only bad thing is I need a sponsorship for free ammunition, this thing vanish a box quickly.
i could imagine owning that white canik sitting next to a white kriss vector rifle would just be gorgeous!
Made my Glock 17 friend jealous with my TP9SF. Both in price and function.
Just got the sc from yall, what a gun. I love my sfx pistols. Love to come visit when yall open back up.
Love my whiteout.
Canik is the sweetest budget pistol ever
The TP9SFX are all sold out every where. Sweet looking gun especially the white looking one.
Whiteout version is the coldest looking gun I ever saw too canik really does have an edge when it comes to design
MrCoke31 Not everywhere.... just purchased one online.
I ordered one of the last tp9sfx off your website recently, very excited for the order to come in so i can put some rounds through it. Ive heard very good things about these and was very happy to find you had them on sale
Since Canik Gun is used in Turkish police and military operations, they tell the brand about its shortcomings and a perfect weapon emerges.
Love my Tp9 SF.!!! Im 6’6” so the full size fits my hand PERFECTLY!!! My EDC. Love how yall always rep Canik. Soooo underrated
I have Glock 17,19 and I have a Canik tp9 the Canik is BY FAR BETTER !
Wait till you tey the MPT-76 :D
sancoffsr Why people still pay $600 for a Block, is a mystery to me. Pretty much EVERY modern pistol made, is not only superior in every way, but they're also less expensive.
Which tp9 is equal in size to the glock 17, grip wise. I checked out one today but its the basic tp9sf and felt like a 19 smaller in grip.
@@shanekingsley251 I've owned Glocks as well,
$$$ isn't the problem, being a Sheep is!!!
Nice weapons, nice workmanship.
I just picked up the CANIK TP9 ELITE COMBAT EXECUTIVE WITH SALIENT UPGRADES GOLD 9MM 4.72-INCH 18RDS and cant wait to take it to the range
Have the V2,SLX,ELITE.... These are sprung for a Nato round, you may have feeding issues with a lighter load.Leave the slide back and work it for the first 3 days.
Once the recoil spring settles in,it should eat anything.
Century arms has lighter recoil springs as well.
This video was better than usual for some reason. I liked the guy on the right.
I got my SF-9 WHEN THEY WERE FIRST AVAILABLE, best bang for the buck I ever got.... They have since tripled in price - I LOVE MINE...
Say what you want but those turkish guys make pretty damn nice guns 👍💪
Good boy🇹🇷👍
Yes they do the honestly have one of the nest triggers better than glock and sig there is no springy feel to it
Zigana!
I picked up a Canik TP9SFX "Blackout" version. Awesome!
Love my SFX. Added a flared magwell, 4 + extended mags. Vortex viper Red Dot, Houge grip. 1000 plus rounds with 2 ftfs cuz I bumped the extended mag release. Will be going to the short one.
They make 9+ mags now.
is the vortex viper red dot upgrade a must do in your opinion? I've heard it's great on this gun.
