Oh my goodness, I'm crying. Don't tell me LOVE can't make an old dog decide that life is NOT over for him. Just to have someone care enough...just enough.
That is true.I rescued a fourteen year old pomeranian two years ago and he acts just like a puppy now❤
Just enough love is the tiniest amount. We all have just enough plus!

I'm in tears I lost my pittie one year ago this month and he was 14 so this just hit home for me. Thank you for giving him a forever home in his senior years. So happy for Larry

@@dc4825Pitbulls can be aggressive because people made them that way intentionally. They have been breeded, raised, and trained to be aggressive dogs. They are not born killers. And what about this "guaranteed safety"? Are you aware that safety can't be 100 percent guaranteed around any dog? This isn't about pitbulls. And all dogs deserve a place in society. Stop demonizing dogs when the issue stems from us.
Me too we lost our almost 17 years old paw son who pass away before Christmas 2024 .. he was very strong and very protective of me cuz I am deaf mommy ... he was pit bull ... that was lots of love from my old boy .... ❤❤❤❤❤

Especially when dogs are young, they age rapidly compared to humans. A one-year-old dog is similar to a 30-year-old human. A four-year-old dog is similar to a 52-year-old human. Then by seven years old, dog aging slows.2 Jul 2020

My fiance and I adopted two cats who had both been abused to some level we'll never know about. One of them was overweight, and had such a bad hip she could barely walk. Started putting glucosamine on her food every day, trying to get her to play, we even massaged her like a hip every night before bed. We always said she aged backwards after that time. She looked better ten years after we got her than she did when we originally got her. Started running and playing, etc. Her orangie best friend helped a lot too I think. It took time but it was sooooo worth it.
He may be 14 human years old.. but his spirit is still as lively as when he was a puppy, i bet.

All I rescue are seniors now, for the past 3 decades.

I always tell people that the dog you see at the shelter isn’t the same dog you’ll see when they go home with you…a lot of dogs shut down when they’re in shelters, but when they get home, they blossom so much! 🥰❤️🐶

I adopted a senior dog in 2021 and he developed a puppy personality, he was so happy. Unfortunately he passed last february. I miss my Jojo so much
I’m not crying your crying he is the cutest guy ever. Love his little toe tap walk. Love how he howls with the fire trucks and how much he loved riding on the fire truck. Larry the swaggest grandpa ever ❤❤❤
Our pup helps the with rescue and fire trucks when they are out. He taught our daughters dog how to do the same. Cutest thing ever. Our guy just gets so excited when we tell him good job. He feels SO proud.
Many years ago I had a husky mix that taught the whole neighborhood to howl with the sirens. He was the best dog in the whole world and still is 40 years later. ❤️❤️❤️

We have an old boy, he’s got arthritis and an autoimmune condition. He also has a buggy and is a bit of a grump. But we love him very much 🥰

Senior puppers are the best. Rescue one and they may not be with you very long but it’s a great feeling given them the best last years. And they give you the best too.

I adopted a senior dog a few years ago, his owners actually wanted to put him down and I saw him at the vet. He was only with me for a year before he died, but I definitely don't regret taking him in, he was just so loving and wonderful.
Our older adoptee had so much charisma. Everyone loved him. I still do.
That was amazing to see, from the happy taps to the adoption. The presets and riding in the fire truck. Larry is so happy and has so many new brothers and sisters he is Benjamin Button
I put my dog down last fall. She was 1 week shy of her 16th Bay. I got emotional watching this....our pets are magical beings....

My dog Angus lived to twenty. Our best years were actually the last ones as we watched the children go off to college. A lot of love and comfort there. I miss Angus every day and I regret nothing about it. Angus was family. Australian Shepard-Boston Terrier mix of all things. Smart, funny and could dig an escape tunnel like Hogans Hero’s.

Love him! We just lost our pitty, Luca this past Valentine's Day to liver cancer and I love seeing bully breeds living their best lives. My heart aches for him and the empty spot on my bed makes me miss him even more. He was the same color black with white chest and white socks. He was a beautiful boy. Thank you to all that give senior dogs of any breed a second chance. You are all so strong to take this on especially when you don't know how much time you will have. Much love and respect. ❤😘

He improved because someone took an interest in him and it gave him an incentive to try and he felt loved.its very powerful when someone loves and cares about you.
