- Someone bought this puppy so they could raise him to be mean and abandoned him once they found out he couldn't walk. When Gabriel was rescued by Pibble's Plantation, he was scared to even be touched. But his foster moms slowed gained his trust.

I have a beautiful staffy and guys would walk up to me and compliment her in a sleezy way. I d immediately say she’s spayed! And they would say why did you do that? The puppies could make you lots of money! I said get a job! My dog doesn’t work for me. It was creepy First and only time I’ve owned a staffy and I was so scared for her at first That she’d get stolen or something. She’s a rescue off the street

@@luminii well from experience my friend had a dog who was around 9 months old who was approachable by strangers but his main role was to be a guard dog and having a "nice" dog wasn't going to cut it... I guess a meaner more aggressive dog would of been more suitable for him

That's what I though and they probably don't care how the dogs are bred (so inbreeding etc) and probably don't buy their dogs from reputable breeders etc. How is dog fighting still legal??? IMO it is totally disgusting and the people doing it out to be punished... By some gaol time but also by community service having to help rescue dogs... It's even illegal to take a person under 21 to SEE a dogfight! It is VERY illegal but like lots of other illegal things men enjoy for money it can be found almost everywhere. It's SO HORRIBLE AND SAD

Exactly. I've heard people say chihuahuas and Yorkies are annoying little pests because they bark too much but if you teach them not to bark excessively then you get to see what great dogs they are and they love to keep you company. Dogs only do what they are taught to do or not to do.

Yeah I used to have a chihuahua when I was about 4 and she was the sweetest thing ever. We trained her about every day and went walks with her, we also trained her to not bark for no reason. Honestly the breed of the dog doesn’t matter what does matter is if the dog owner is training the dog right according to their breed, age, etc.

Some breeds are simply more easily agitated then others, but I don’t see why Pitties are so hated! They don’t even make the top 10 most aggressive dog breeds! I have Doxens other wise known as Weiner dogs, who are surprisingly high on that list for their size. But this is because Doxens are bred hunting dogs made to help track down Badgers. They will naturally have a more territorial and aggressive behavior then other breeds as that is the kind of genes bred into them! Any dog no matter how well trained will lash out and bite if they feel threatened enough. Some just have smaller patients then others

My grandma always said that dogs are 3 legged creatures born with a spare. They adapt so quickly. Poor little babies either way. I'm glad they got away from cruelty and found the loving people that they deserved.

I kept putting off my cat's leg amputation because I was expecting her to react as a human - with shock and depression. She just adapted, and ran faster on 3 legs than she did when she had 4.
Yeah I worked for a veterinarian when I was in high school, all of our amputees (which there weren't that many of, we weren't going around chopping limbs off on a daily basis🤣) were as happy as they could be as soon as the pain from surgery had passed. I think we tend to forget that our pets are not as intelligent or as aware as we are, despite all of the things they can learn to do which makes them appear to be very intelligent at times. They don't get super depressed after an amputation because they don't have the capacity to dwell on all of the things they can no longer do. Or at least that's my theory 🤷♂️
@@rovers141 It's the same as with children. They have no reason to believe they can't or won't ever be able to do something so they'll keep trying until they succeed. Adults are much more likely to make smaller, adapted goals for themselves whereas kids will not stop trying until they're able to do what they want to do, even if they need some modifications to do it. You take a leg off of a kid & they'll be running on their prosthetic much faster than adults.

The two women in this video are absolute angels, saints and heroes. Lol, not to mention very patient and determined. What they did for these pups was miraculous. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart and wish I could meet them and shake their hand, tell them how much I admire and look up to them. I'm a cat person, I like dogs but never had the patience or time to invest in housebreaking, etc but when I saw this, I fell in love w these pooches. I am so relieved to know that there are ppl out there that can do what I can not and save the lives of dogs. I am a cat/kitten foster and have adopted 9 of them throughout my 6 yrs of doing so lol, "foster failure". I have been able to find homes for many of the ones I have had over the yrs and the ones that I can't, well I'm surrounded by them right now lol. Thank you both for all that you have done and will do in the future.

I agree with the both of you. Pitbulls are actually one of the sweetest breeds you can witness. But because they are often trained to fight because they have the body and just the pleasure of seeing two dogs try to kill each other...that's psychotic and all those people are disgusting. So every time someone is attacked by a dog they say it's a pitbull while it probably doesn't even have a breed...people are also so dumb....

Animals can teach us so much with their strength and perseverance. I was ill for a couple of years with no indication as to why for quite some time. Long story short last year I had a double mastectomy, but was actually relieved to have a diagnosis and hopefully a chance to heal. But that never came. Not only had it taken away my chance to have children, but the trauma on my body left me with a chronic lifelong illness. I had to give up my business, my career, my dreams of motherhood, and all my goals and dreams in general. I felt I'd lost everything, all hope and any chance to ever be happy again. But my sausage choc lab cross, who i rescued at a year old 15 years ago, had 6 cancerous tumours cut off several years ago, had a stroke 2 years ago and was left temporarily paralysed and learnt to walk again, but more recently his old age has caused hip and back leg problems. But he refuses to be carried up or down stairs, no matter how long it takes he WANTS to do it! and through all his problems he's always the happiest most determined little being. He has the heart of a lion. He's the one that's brought me out of my darkness, and taught me strength no matter what we face. He'll forever be my best friend and savior, as i was for him all those years ago. 😭😍💖

I totally know what you mean about not being able to give them up at the end of fostering-I experienced a similar situation although it was a little bit different- my kids and I had found a stray Chihuahua & no matter what we did to advertise this lost dog was trying to get back home, even offering a reward no one claimed her-come two weeks later she was still with us & we noticed she was getting a little chunky & YEP…she was pregnant-as much as I insisted that we were going to give the puppies away after they were born they just grabbed my heart & didn’t let go. Here we are six years later we’ve got more than one Chihuahua LOL!!! Geez life sure can be crazy!

I totally understand! My ex husband's dog had a litter or puppies back when we were first dating and I had a rough time with giving the last 3 up at 9 months old since I hadn't managed to find homes for them sooner. My dad made me run an ad in the paper to find homes for them and it broke my heart so bad.

Seeing puppies with this deformity is just heartbreaking. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for the puppies to want to do so much, but they can barely move. Obviously it's poor breeding, but then again I feel with the comments from the owner that I'm not surprised that someone's breeding them to sell to people looking for "vicious" dogs. For one puppy in the litter to have this is unfortunate, at least three should probably be grounds for them to not be allowed to be a breeder.

I absolutely love it when I see people helping dogs with disabilities! I’m a rescue dog mom and I donate and share stories on my social media - just whatever I can to help animals that are in need. I agree with a lot of the comments about the guy wanting to make a clearly disabled dog meaner. People like that don’t deserve to breathe the same oxygen as these sweet babies!! I see so many horrific stories being a rescue advocate so when I see success stories like this it helps to ease that pain just a little for the ones that don’t even get a chance. It affects me profoundly! I wish that everyone would educate themselves about the over population from continuous breeding and not neutering/spaying their dogs. I also wish we had laws like other countries that truly protect animals and actually give harsh punishments to the pieces of crap that are guilty of it! Yeah, Some breeders have a lot to answer for. I own a GSD with hip disorder due to bad breeding and he is paying for it with pain if not medicated. But I love the big bugger dearly and I will go without before my bud does.
