The best part is, I maxed out mods 10 year ago. I can use them today. Nothing goes to waste. You can take a brake and come back anytime. It's a real comfort game.

There are times I just go into the Plains of Eidolon at night and hover around Terry and just listen to their lonely cries. Other times, I search for kuria or nooks and crannies I've never seen in tilesets I've been through 100s of times. I will just stop and admire the scenery in the middle of a mission. At 6 1/2 years, 2352 hours played I'm only MR 19, but there's so much to do that mastery ranking is just an afterthought when I don't feel like doing anything else. I'm an elderly retired Nana who chose Warframe for four reasons: 1. It wasn't Roblox (where toxic pervs abound), 2. It's f2p, 3. It's space ninjas, and 4. my then-eight-year-old grandson and I could play together. My grandson's 15 now so we don't get to play together as much as we used to, but we both log a dozen or so hours weekly each on our own. Warframe has my heart for several reasons - the most important is the community: DE and the players. So, while I do play a couple of other games, Warframe is definitely my comfort game. Thank you for your videos; you have found the heart and soul of Warframe, too.

@@PixelEmpirical 34 Thank you for your comment, but I am not his father, I am his GRANDMOTHER. You are not the first person to assume I am a man, but I never was a man, and never want to be a man. I enjoy being an old lady. 😆 Editing, because I think my response sounds rude. It's just I get mistaken for a man a lot when I coment on youtube and reddit about gaming with my grandson. But you are right about connecting. Recent studies have shown that maternal grandmothers (I'm his mum's mum) may be especially close to their grandchildren, Since he is the only one I will ever have he gets all of my love.

The fact that instead of just leaving, Veteran players would often prefer staying to guide and help newcomers so that they can too fall in love with this game, and eventually have them take their place.

Newish player here. 300 hours. After 7 years of Destiny 2 as my comfort game, I started playing Warframe about 2 months ago. So overwhelming for a new player. Now I have about 25 frames, solid builds for Steel Path, and still a ton of stuff to upgrade and aquire.
Whispers in the Walls is my favorite mission and addition to this game. And since it's the foundation for 1999 I am very happy to be a part of this journey now.

Started about a month and a half ago and 200h in already. I was a complete buffoon dissmising this game as just another f2p title.
Sure I have spent 10€ on a supporter pack, but this game gave me 200h in return, while 90% of games gave me 60+/- hours for 60 or 70€ lol
Gameplay is ridicolously addictive, fun and fluid while storytelling is top notch and makes most of "story driven" single player games a run for their money.

it is to me. after everything is done, warframe feels like the type of game that you can just log, do a couple of runs of a mission type or another, and jump out. its a game that i never felt, wasted my time(besides crashing mid mission and me losing that loot, which is rare, but did happen more than i would like). even if i am to collect stuff i have so much, it still doesnt feel pointless, because i know i can always use it on the helminth.

Thank you for this. Your words really resonate with me. I'm 63 years old, a father of two and a husband with a demanding full time professional job. I'm also autistic. I've been a keen gamer since the early nineties. The list of games I've played is somewhat extensive to say the least. I've played Destiny since the beta and love(d) that game but it always exhausted me whereas Warframe calms me and soothes my nervous system. With this game I can enter a flow state almost immediately and stay there for hours (when I'm lucky enough to get that much time). That is something no other game has managed to do. Every time they release a major update I think well, that's it, the game can't get better, more creative and that it's inevitable that the game must surely now start to get stale. But it's frankly shocking that they just keep going and delivering better and better content, more and more story. DE puts the rest of the industry to shame. Without wanting to gush, Warframe is my gaming home - and it does feel like home, which is why I've spent money on this F2P game - not because I need to but because I want to - to say thank you to the devs for sending this joy into my life.

At the 5 minute mark, about the devs?
I've felt what makes Warframe's developers different from most F2P devs, is that they actually PLAY their own game! They aren't special as employees, they kind of are, but also their streams are all about HAVING FUN, and just PLAYING the game.
The same sentiment as Ready Player One. "It's not about winning, it's about playing."

Been playing since 2016, I have no idea how much time I have in the game. But to me, it's irrelevant because there is still so much in the game for me to do. Yes, even as a veteran Warframe player. And there is much still to come.
So here is how I look at Warframe.
"As long as the Devs love this game, I'll love this game."
It's a simple way to look at it but that's just the honest-to-God truth for me. I may step away to play something else for a bit (like Darkest Dungeon 2 and Rimworld) but I always come back to Warframe.

    Props for this video!
I have been playing since 2013 and it's definitely a game I return to often, especially with every major update.
When I started, there wasn't a tutorial intro, there wasn't much of a storyline. We just started exterminating ships of enemies and bosses and looting new gear knowing that we were the space ninjas and the enemy were grunts or robots or infected, who were sucking the solar system dry.
I called it a linear corridor or dungeon shooter... that's basically what it was before the liset, or all of the open-world, open space, arch-wing, k-drive, rail-jack, horse-riding add-ons, etc.
I was a stubborn solo-only player (GTA SA, Fallout, Skyrim were my go-to) and I remember rage-quitting on the second planet when I couldn't survive certain missions by myself. I knew we could play online, but I dreaded multiplayer of any kinds. After a month of not playing at all, I thought I'd give it another shot, thinking I needed to be a better shot or better at stealth, and by accident I started a mission on public, so other people could join the session without my approval. I decided to go along with it until the end of the objectives and extraction. To my surprise, it felt exhilarating to get assistance and provide assists to other people who were depending on me as much as I depended on them. It felt amazing finishing the run together, becoming "brothers in arms".
I remember the first person I played with who interracted with me directly, the username was "Pink" and the Excalibur was pink too. Ofc I assumed they were a girl, but it really didn't matter, we used the text chat to coordinate and we followed each-other at a matching pace through multiple missions. At the end of the day we thanked each-other through the Microphone (she was a girl after all!) but never ran into each other since. We didn't have to, the bond we built was sufficient to remain imprinted in my brain all these years later.
I eventually joined a clan, then once that stopped being active, found a home with another alliance in which one of the best dudes ever welcomed me open-heartedly and open-mic'd despite his threatening username (Kid_Psychotic).
I can tell you I have never uninstalled Warframe from my gaming platforms (previously PC, now SteamDeck), and I always go back to it for a good time.
Kid and I always get back in touch on birthdays, holidays or just random weekends to catch up on our big life-changing events and our day-to-day lives.
There's never been a better game experience as it's developed to, to this day.
There's never been a better congruence of highest tier forms of art into a single multi-dimensional experience.
There's never been a better game developer than Digital Extremes.

It's such an excellent 'third space' -- a place you can hang out that's not your home, but not work, like the local mall or bar.
I think a big part of this is that it allows you to _embody and move like_ a character you can't be in any other game. The parkour mechanics are so smooth and freeing, especially if you're like me and love to exploit Warframe abilities that give you extra movement options. And because of modding, you can make any absurd gameplan work if you build it right.
    AoE nuke Ivara? Sure.
    Stealth Nidus? Go for it.
A bright pink Thermal Sunder Rhino? Knock their socks off, king.
In terms of form _and function,_ you can make a character completely your own, in a way that few other games allow. And it just feels good to _exist_ in those frames.
"Dream... Not of what you are, but of what you want to be."

First time viewer here, happened to see this on my feed and had to watch. Warframe was a game-changer for me, pun intended.. or not? I started playing it back in late 2019, and it made me feel like a kid. It was new (to me), and exciting, and just so awesome to play. Now, I don't stick to games for long.. I burn myself out because I will hyperfocus on a game and that's it. I always come back to warframe. Always. I always talk about warframe, even to people I know aren't gamers or that interested. It is, in my own opinion, the BEST free game. So much so that I have actually become decent at fashion. Like I use to see other players and wish I could look like them, and I actually took time to learn how they did it. Sometimes I log in just to make so new fashions for various frames, which then inspires me to play them after I make them look cool. And let's not forget new players. I love when new players discover warframe, and even make videos about it.

11409 hours at this point, LR3, playing since 2013 and I'm agree. For the last 2 to 3 years my progress in this game slowed a lot, I do more of a side things, because I'm completed and get everything, except very latest stuff which I don't necessarily need, but if I want to I can get them very quickly and run out of new content which of course I don't want to. Over the years I did get burnt out several times, but after playing some other games and waiting for new update I got back and get another batch of new content to play for. So my slowness was adapted to their update release cycle.

totally agree its a great fun game and even if u take a break like i was forced (in my case a long 4 years break due rl stuff) theres no fomo sure theres limited tine events but nothing truly goes away so u can chill and say oh well i'll get that next time and yeah both devs and players are for the most part amazing ofc theres always a few toxic ones every where but in warframe its the minority had a small bump recently into 1 as i was doing my bday celebration by doing random vaulted relics with random peeps that were cracking relics. encounter was in q&a chat i did not had a question and some guy came on a tad arrogant asking so u dont have a question? as i was typing actually i do... how is u wonderfull peep? had at least 5 persons coming to defense hey *insert ign here* is a regular chill and that is something special and he replied to me and we were all good after that xD

I enjoyed Warframe for a while. I mean 11 years of content? Once I played everything in the game I really didn’t see a need to stick around. You grind the same things you get and over. Leveling up syndicates is actually not fun and it’s basically the “new” thing you do every significant uodate

Playing around in the sandbox has fueled literally thousands of hours of gameplay for me. Getting rivens and trying out builds and whatnot.
