Thanks so much watch and commenting, glad you like my planner setup :-) My current lifestyle means I can get away without an on the go planner, buuutttt... I do downsize when I travel, my current fave is the Filofax Malden in Personal size, you can see how I have it set up here: ua-cam.com/video/AxHU3K3NcMI/v-deo.html
Great video! Very helpful. I have just bought myself two Maldens, one personal and one in A5. I used Filofaxes years ago but switched to bullet journals. Now I am back to the binders. The A5 should stay at home and the personal stays in my bag. My problem now is, since I used to put everything in one book, what to put where. suggestions would be highly appropriated ❤
Love a Malden! Well made, smart looking but not in an office suit way, and roomy enough for my needs. I guess it depends on the info you need for on-the-go. I find something suitable for future planning, like a year at glance insert is a good place to start, paper for notes and list making, maybe a mini inventory for supplies (cosmetics, cleaning products, household bits - I think it was Amanda Leigh Plans who spoke about how annoying it is when your out and see your fave toothpaste or such like on offer so pick up couple only to come home and find you already have a stash of them 🥴), and medical info that's relevant. For me the kids shoe sizes and when they were last measured is handy but not relevant for everyone. And a packing list - I often visit my mum for a few days so having a packing list reduces any stress if I leave it till the last minute to pack.
Thanks for your answer, that was very helpful! I already have a year at a glance and a daily. You are right, a list with important info, such as shoe sizes of the kids (etc), is very helpful. I always forget about them. ❤
At 8:03 you show your inbox. I would love to have this, but the one in your shop does not look the same as the one in the video. Is the one in the video available for purchase?
🫣oh no, I made a few tweaks to simplify it - it's essentially the same but once I'd been using it for a while there were things I wanted to add to help improve workflow (a couple more columns and a symbol key). I still have the original backed-up so I'll follow up with you after the weekend if that's okay :-)
May I ask where you obtained the card holder in the front of your planner? I am going to buy the pocket scriptures and would like to have that type of card holder for them. Thank you so much.
Hey Dawn, thanks for watching, I found it on Amazon. I've updated the video description to include a link that *should* take you to the most relevant Amazon (UK / USA) fingers crossed!
So sorry this video wasn't what you were looking for in terms of function planning, my aim was to share how I've setup my planner for functional planning (essentially the section setup and very little deco). If you're looking for more practical/implementable tips then planningwithchloe.substack.com/ might be useful. I write there every week on the topic of paper planning and relatable productivity tips. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it really helps me in terms of improving my content creation skills :-)

6 mins in and nothing about functional planning yet 🙄
