- Since we’ve been riding the 2023 Yamaha YZ450F we’ve wanted more stability and just a more planted feel with the new chassis Yamaha created in 2023. We’ve done a 2023 YZ450F “engine” Garage Build with Twisted Development but thought it would be beneficial to do a “chassis” build with the new generation frame. Adrian at Ride Engineering has been working hard on parts for this machine and this is the bike we came up with.

Adrian sure knows his engineering, looks like an epic build down to the Bridgestone tires (yet to find a better tire in ruts than the X31)
Ttsa, sweet! Awesome video!
Sweet ride
Like most I lean toward Yamaha just cause of the KYB feel when the track gets rough
are you running the one piece top mount with the rubber mounts??
Sure is a lot of criticism of many different group test winner. Suspension? Best in class. Brakes? Never heard or read anyone else bitching about em. You want a Yamaha to feel like a ktm? Buy a ktm😂
Front brake is actually a pretty frequent complaint about the Yamahas. I personally don’t have an issue but many other people do
Not that the brakes are in and of themselves bad, but compared to almost every other brand, they’re wayy behind. Suspension is still the best stock stuff but having ridden the new chassis back to back with my older last gen bike, the new one definitely feels a lot less stable and more twitchy. Corners on absolute rails though!
Unfortunately we don’t like the feel of KTM
Please someone help me, I over tightened the oil tank bolt and it broke off leaving half of it still inside. I cant get it out and it rendered my bike useless 😢😢😢😢😢
Their 8 bolt bar mounts are hilarious
Never heard of anyone changing the link please just ride the bike stock
Yeah, modifying bikes is stupid and never fun. Everyone should just ride stock bikes no matter what. Dude, I would love to have the time and money to play with rear suspension links and see what it does! I have a feeling factory teams have put more than 5 mins into trying different links out. Open your mind a little bit
