Im a new knitter, barely 4 months in. I just discover the wonders of lace knitting and looking at this pattern it make me so excited to start a new scarf project! Thank you for sharing and you have such a way of teaching that is so soothing yet tremendously clear and helpful. Its sometimes hard to follow online tutorials that do things way to fast and complicated but yours is one of the best and quite beginner friendly. Wish you good health and joy, thanks!
I love this pattern. Can you convert it to a heart pattern? I think it would be really cute and I’m not experienced enough to figure out how to do it myself.
It is shown from the beginning at row #1. The only thing to do before that would be casting-on the stitches. Here's a video for that: ua-cam.com/video/UpfC6gtDEk8/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/5-penc6_fbY/v-deo.html
Hi, I'm trying to knit a cardigan using this stitch as I love it, BUT I'm trying to decrease for sleeve placement and can't for the life of me figure out how to do that. Can someone PLEASE HELP ME??? THANK YOU in advance for your assistance.
When you take off at sleeves, you need to follow the pattern, therefore if you take off 5 stitches, you start knitting the pattern on the 6th stitch of it. Sometimes it helps to make a chart and follow the squares.
We don't have an actual video tutorial on this right now, but we do explain how to turn patterns into round versions here: ua-cam.com/video/CeB50lWs1N0/v-deo.html
It depends on: the size of the blanket, the needles, the yarn and your tension. It's a good idea to make a swatch first to determine how many stitches you will need for your measurements.

What size needles and what wool do you use. It’s a beautiful pattern
I used #3 yarn and #6US needles. Use the needles that the yarn calls for or 1 number larger.
@@JoannesWeb thanks
If I eliminate the plus 3 too knit in round will the diamond work? Row 3 can I skip the K1 and K2 ? Thanks
The knot 2 is part of the repetition. You only skip the edge stitches.
@@JoannesWeb hank you❤
Hi what should I do after the 12th row? From which step should I repeat?
Repeat from row 1

@@JoannesWeb - Thank you very much. I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes.
This is beautiful. Do you have a pattern for a cardigan?
We don't, for this specific pattern.
@@JoannesWeb thank you for responding.
Id love to make my boyfriend a scarf with this stitch but does a multaple of 6 and 3 more stitches mean a multiple of 9
No. A multiple of 6 means 6, 12, 18, 24, 30....plus 3.
Köszönöm szépen.
Would it be multiple of 6 + 6 if I added knit 2 yarn over on each side ?
Thank you !!
New to knitting
Luv your videos!!
To add stitches, you need to add 6, which are the oned between the astericks. * to * and end the way it shows.
How many stitches would we need to add at the beginning and end to prevent the curling, so that it lays flat?
What is the best size yarn for this pattern
Baby yarn. Unless you want something very airy, use lace yarn. They are both on the thin side.
How many stiches do you have done here ?
28. please watch the video.
can this patterned be used to knit in the round? would love to make a dress!

How long does it take to knit a newborn blanket size
It depends on: the size of the blanket, the needles, the yarn and your tension. It's a good idea to make a swatch first to determine how many stitches you will need for your measurements.
Was there a Diamond Lace # 1 . I can't find it
We have many diamond patterns and about 2 diamond lace: ua-cam.com/users/JoannesWebsearch?query=diamond%20lace
Hi.. I have problem in row 9.. it's not match the pattern..😢
