I understand this is for information only, but the title of the video is "How to change" etc. Not "how to get an idea of how to change" can you please tell me if I need to fill with fuel, prior to changing? That's something that would be useful to know.

there are service manuals in sites like EasyManuals which you can buy. I bought for my Audi A4 B7. Like 14 pounds or something was the price. It totally worth. The guides have everything as a procedures from the suspension to the filter changes trough body repairs. For all engine and chaises for the car model. Also have torque specifications included.
Need to prime the fuel system with a diagnostics , or fill the filter with fresh fuel before reconnecting the pipe work .

Pointless video if you are not going to confirm if it needs priming or filling filter with fuel. What about air getting into pipes ?

Thanks for the valuable clarification, you are absolutely right, when replacing the fuel filter on diesel cars, it is necessary to fill the filter with fuel, as well as to avoid the ingress of air into the fuel system. They don't care. Just buy their parts. You need to put 9 times contact on and off to fill the filter with diesel. Or command it on the odb2 link. Although I tried it always with the key. When the fuel gets out of the filter reconnect the to engine line.

That’s exactly what happened to me… Air in the fuel system…
Got the idea but couldn't really see much apart from the orange gloves
Why didn't he start the engine? How much spinning would it take to get it running? Why didnt he check for leaks when running? This video is no help at all

Not sure why they had to keep showing his back, rather than what he was doing.
Also the camera angle should have been above, as his hands were in the way most of the time.

What hose / connection is what would have helped a lot. Which connection is in, out, and what exactly is the sunken two way connection for?
We cannot tell for sure. You can find this information in the technical documentation for the maintenance and repair of your car.
@@autodocuk Center is out / to fuel pump. The other one is in. The two way connection is to bring heated fuel that passed by the engine back to the filter (and to tank) - for better cold performance.

I have a 2005 B7 FWD with the 1.8T engine (Australian spec) and the fuel filter is located under the rear right side of the vehicle
