Great video, I have just bought a 2007 sline 2.0tdi avant in same colour as yours. It was a Jersey car so low miles and no MOT's over there. "Cleaned" love it, also the diesel from about 2000/10 have dpfs from standard, they first started on some diesel mid-2000s, it's good you are getting it mapped for it as there's less back pressure so the vnt needs to be adjusted so the turbo doesn't overboost :)
That's not how it works, bro. EGR cools the combustion temp. to reduce NOx. But it also decreases combustion efficiency, thereby increasing diesel particulate emissions and thus the need for the DPF. Deleting the EGR would reduce DP emissions. DPFs need regular "cleaning" which occurs in the "regen" mode. If you didn't go fast enough for long enough so the regen(s) could complete that'd be the origin of your limp mode. DPF deletion OTOH usually improves MPG as well as performance (HP and torq.)

Agreed. The CR cars are much better in that respect, with the engine having been 'designed' with the DPF in mind. I'm really lucky that my Passat (with the 2.0TDI BKP PD) doesn't have a DPF at all. NO....... DPF's are not fitted on "high performance diesels".. By law all diesel cars after 2009 have to be fitted with a DPF's to meet the newer emissions laws, that is the reason some cars do or don't if they are older than from 2009, some manufactures had them on cars before then to meet the new standards before they were enforced. If you're starting a diesel in the cold it might be an idea to let the glow plug light go out first before starting, if not it's like trying to start a diesel engine without glow plugs which is just stupid, and harder on the starter motor and battery.

It doesn't scrape all the time, occasionally when I pull into my drive...
I lowered it because it's my car, I was bored in lockdown and I wanted it to look good.
You didn't clean your dpf you gutted it mate too the filters out so it's just a empty box
I had same audi but in a 2006 lucky that didn't have the dpf.
Sweet mate can’t wait
So.......
"Cleaned"
In other words fucked right off.
😞
I'm stuck in limp mode
Sounds like you can use a New battery man, also nice " cleaning" method 😅. Did it myself once
Yea it's a nightmare especially in the cold!
I'll give it another try in the next video and see what it says 👌
Is supermarket diesel bad for your DPF or is that just a myth?
it is bad for the dpf, best fuel is Shell, but BP, esso and texaco is good
Straight pipe ,no DPF for the 2.0 TDI
Bro, you have start problem. You need to slove that as well. Maybe starter or something else.
It was the starter motor 👍
@@BWTVhi mate, after you cleaned the DPF you could drive the car with no remap?
Egr delete without deleting the dpf is just asking for trouble!!
The dpf was an after thought on the PD engines its so far away from the turbo no wonder it doesn't regenerate properly. They've been integrated properly on later cars though, so no need to "clean" them unless you're chasing big power 300 bhp+
Agreed. The CR cars are much better in that respect, with the engine having been 'designed' with the DPF in mind.
I'm really lucky that my Passat (with the 2.0TDI BKP PD) doesn't have a DPF at all. My next car is likely to be an S213 Merc E220d, which will hopefully be clean and efficient enough (EU6) that i don't have too many DPF worries
@@timprice5 BKD is a good engine just have to make sure you have the latest cylinder head design, also the turbo is made of chocolate and cant take much more boost than standard.
Go for Sr tuned software best in the business
As from my previous comment, try liqui moly diesel products to clean up gunks and sludge out of the engine....
Hi BMTV, like the vid. I'm trying to get hold of Mo, i haven't got intagram. Does he have a number or and email ? Address would be good . Got mad DPF problem at the moment needs sorting.
DPF problems are the result of poor engine performance so something is wrong. my man gonna remap engine with bad condition, hell yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cleaning cats out or using straight pipe does a similar thing 😉😂👍🏻
Don’t think the dpf filter was actually cleaned more just binned 🤣🤣
My cat was ‘cleaned’ 2 months after getting my Audi 👀
After the “cleaning” was it slightly more whistle from the cleaning 😂
Just a little 😂 although, after cleaning it, I had to get a remap so the car could see the cat was ‘clean’ 😂
@@Brad8261 Cars are a pain in the ass always needing ecus adjusted 😂 better turbo spool up after the clean though
@mr330d haha aren’t they just! Those 330d’s love an Ecu adjustment dont they 😉
@@Brad8261 I had an E46 330d 184 mapped to 235bhp and it was a rocket at the time unfortunately I bought it already mapped so couldn’t compare it to stock but it was flucking fast 😂
Would you recommend the mk4 to a seventeen year old
Depends on engine but not really ideal insurance wise for a 17 year old
I had my 1.4 when I was 17 and insurance cost me near 2k, looking back it was probably a stupid idea but I had fun atleast 🤷🤣
@@BWTV i would give you a hard time about having fun in a 1.4, but my first car was a peugeot 106 1.0 with a 4 speed gearbox😂 redlined that thing to death.
Permantly cleaned haha
Petrol cars much cleaner and less hassle on maintaining than diesels. I know diesels have better torque but so noisy and dirty.😩🤔
Yup trust me I prefer petrols 😂
60+ mpg and £20 a year tax. That's why we drive diesels!
You think so been driving Audi diesels for 30years never had thoses troubles if you don’t f..k around you won’t have these trouble s and petrol are far from easier to service u need to replace plugs on a petrol diesels have a lot longer service intervals I suppose your your young you’ll learn
What a sh... Hole- that garage.
P.s Mo is very professional-welding and grinding next to customer cars.well done Mo!
Where is the cats
I gutted my dpf on my e90 best thing ever did runs like dream
No chance he left the shit in the dpf that thing is hollow! Fair enough also there a fucking pain
Dpf delete the best to do .
I think going forward with performance is good. I like that! I have remapped Audi A8. But it should go along with safety. GET PROPER tyres, not that Chinese sh*t! Then you will taste performance without wheel spin! Cheers 🍻
You could have hired a mobile dpf cleaner to do it on your driveway for less than £200
That's great but not a permanent long term fix
