Nice partscaster build, Jamie :) A hack I’ve seen is to use coated electrical wire to check neck alignment - wrap one end round the first E tuning peg, feed it through the body, back up through the other E and wrap around that tuning peg 👍
One idea I am going to try is before I install the tuners and bridge, use a 48 inch straight edge ruler to place the center of each E string hole in alignment with the corresponding tuner hole center. This would tell me the same thing and since the straight edge only costs $12 it would pay for itself in a short while as I build out through body guitars. With a Strat you would do the same thing from the center of the saddle to the corresponding center of the tuner hole.
I was looking for any details on Nut filing. That's Awesome if the Neck was already done to that level👍🏾🥤I'm interested in where to get a decent Quality Neck & the Cost✌😎☮
I should clean up the low e string on this one but was surprised the nut was setup as well as it was. Here is were I got the neck from: UA-cam is not letting me put the neck link in my reply. It is in the video description. I am surprised at the quality of the necks for the price.

I just got back from the bench with it and as soon as I put in the bridge ground the hum stopped.
